Step right up

Today’s Amazon Gold Box is filling me with nostalgia, as it’s holding a Want Not favorite. It slices! It dices! It makes perfect julienned fries!!

Well, okay; not really. It’s a Werner MT-22 telescoping multi-ladder, and every time the price drops this low (currently $145 shipped, which is a deal on the shipping alone, as this puppy weighs nearly 50 pounds), everyone gets very excited. The first time I saw it I didn’t quite get it, but I, too, have been sucked in by this thing. Because… it’s a stepladder, extension ladder, and scaffolding all in one.

Basically, this is the ladder you get if you used to really love Erector Sets as a kid. And at $145 shipped, it’s the last ladder you’ll ever need for, well, anything.

Buy Duracell, get $5 back

Amazon is currently running a promotion where Prime members (free or paid) will get a $5 credit for buying Duracell batteries, and we all know another $5 to spend at Amazon is a good thing.

Need AAs? (We always do.) If you buy this 20-pack of AAs, it’s just $8.47 shipped when you buy via Subscribe & Save, plus there’s a $.75 coupon you can clip in the middle of the page, too. That’s a great price even without the $5 credit!

Now that’s Fab

You may have gotten an email about this if you’re already a member, but if not: To celebrate having crested the 1-million-members mark, Fab.com just credited everyone $10 towards any purchase you make in the next 24 hours. There’s no catch, but you do have to spend it within that time frame or lose it.

If you joined earlier for the welcome bonus but didn’t buy, you should now have this additional bonus in your account. And I notice that the “100 Best Design Gifts Under $100” boutique is still around, plus lots of other goodies. How cute are those Poketo wallets for teens? So cute!

Plus, who doesn’t love free money?

Get ready for holiday dress-up

You’re so pretty, you probably don’t even need this deal, but I was pretty stoked about it, as I believe in the magic of Lycra. Ahem. Anyway, here it is: Right now at Spanx, buy whatever you like and coupon code SPANXEMP20 will take 20% off your order (and everything ships for free). I’m sure you have something pretty you’re planning to wear for some upcoming photos or parties; why not make sure that you look your absolute best?

This goes along with the “Spanxgiving Sale” they’re having today and tomorrow, by the way. Combine the code with those discounts for the best deal. [Edited to add: Oooh, there’s a couple of cute (and cheap!) swimsuits in that sale section, if you’re not in need of shapewear….]

But like I said, maybe it’s just me who needs Spanx to look… erm… perfectly smooth. Heh.

It’s gonna be a Lego day

I totally forgive Amazon for giving me a heart attack* this morning, and here is why: Today all of the Toys & Games options in their Countdown to Black Friday Lightning Deals will be Lego sets. And you know how I feel about Lego.

How deep will the deals be? I guess we’ll have to wait and see, but there’s going to be nine deals today—one every hour—starting in about 15 minutes.

* There was a bleary, pre-coffee moment when I looked at the Amazon home page and saw the countdown was at 6 days and change and thought oh dear Lord I lost a week somewhere! in a panic, but then I realized they’re counting down to Black Friday Week, not Black Friday itself. Phew.

Grouponicus is upon us

Every year for the holidays, Groupon starts busting out some awesome deals in celebration. This hallowed time of year is called Grouponicus, and it’s a celebration I can get behind.

The first (of what I hope will be many) holiday deal is this: Get half-price gift cards for American Apparel—pay $25 for $50, or $50 for $100—which you can then use either in-store or online.

I, personally, am not quite hip enough to shop American Apparel. But with gifts to buy for those hipper than myself, I can see this coming in handy….

Saturday sales

Hey, we’re carrying over the Veteran’s Day sale goodness into the weekend, and—right after I honor the brave men and women who’ve served our country—that’s a movement I can get behind. Check out where you can still score a deal today:

The Pottery Barn Veteran’s Day Sale is still going strong, with items up to 60% off. What I like is that you can also search it by which items have free shipping, because you know how I dig free shipping.

Eddie Bauer is offering 25% off everything with coupon code SHARE25, and you’ll also get free shipping if your order is $49 or more. Sweet.

Right now Philosophy is offering free shipping on all orders, automatically! And let me get you some whipped cream and sprinkles for that sundae—coupon code SAVINGS30 will take 30% off your order, too.

Today’s Amazon Gold Box is filled with deals on men’s dress pants, just in case you happen to live with a guy who insists that his work pants are “perfectly fine” even when his wallet has rubbed a hole through the seat. Just sayin’.

There’s a Dyson Ball featured over at Woot today, and you even get to pick what color you want! Personally, I’m kind of groovin’ on the purple. But for $255 shipped I would be perfectly happy with anything. (Also, check out today’s Home.Woot—that’s a really nice reusable grocery bag set, complete with insulated bag, for under $20.)

Last (but not least!): It’s Friends and Family time over at Disney Store, too. Coupon code DISNEYPAL takes 20% off any order, plus orders of $75+ will ship for free.

Not a bad Saturday, all in all.

If you want to Kinect

If you’ve been looking forward to grabbing an XBox Kinect bundle for the upcoming holiday season, go check out the current Lightning Deal—get a Kinect Bundle For $300 with a $100 credit back.

These will sell out quickly though, so hop on it if you want it.

4 hours to save 40% on denim

So Levi’s has decided to enter the 11/11/11 fray with this: For four hours only (from noon until 4:00 p.m. Eastern), shop their site and use coupon code SAVING40 for 40% off your entire order.

Shipping is automatically free on orders of $50+, too.

It’s not very 11-themed, true, but who am I to look 40% off in the mouth? (Er, that metaphor went tragically wrong. Please disregard.)
