Shave it, shave it good

I still don’t quite understand what sorts of technological advancements would merit an electric shaver costing $250—does it perform electrolysis while you shave? get you a date? fix you perfect over-easy eggs?—but nonetheless, the reviews of the Panasonic Nanotech Vortex shavers seem to indicate that they are wondrous, indeed.

Still. $250?

No need—today’s Amazon Gold Box contains the Panasonic Arc IV Nanotech Vortex Wet/Dry Rechargeable Shaver for just $90 shipped, which is the lowest price they’ve ever had it at.

Now. $90 for a shaver? Maybe I won’t hold it to those eggs, but a smoothie would be nice. Or maybe it’s just an awesome shave. I don’t know. All I know is that this is a much more appealing price than retail.

For your favorite crimefighter

It seems like it’s been a while since there was anything that thrilled me over at Mamapedia Deals, but today they’re offering $40 to PowerCapes.com for just $20!

Their capes are gorgeous, and really well-made. I daresay they’d stand up to the abuse of daily superhero-ing quite well. They run specials sometimes, too, so between the deal and their sales… you could make yourself very popular. Just sayin’.

Do you have the blues?

I don’t mean are you sad—though I certainly hope you aren’t—but do you have a sufficient stash of Kraft macaroni and cheese at your house? Because (confession time) no matter how much I insist on real food, local food, in-season food… I always have a few blue boxes in the pantry. I’m pretty sure it’s in my contract.

If you, too, occasionally succumb to the lure of the blue box, check out this 15-pack of Kraft macaroni and cheese at Amazon. Buy it via Subscribe & Save and you’ll get it for just $9.77 shipped. That’d be a year’s supply, for us, but I promise not to judge you if you eat it more often. It’s oddly delicious, powdered cheese product and all.

I think I deserve shoes

Well, it’s going to be one of those days, I can tell already. I’ve got a pocketful of prescriptions for a certain ailing child and the only thing we don’t have a ‘script for is new shoes for me. But I’m pretty sure I deserve them. Right? Right.

There’s almost too many great deals at 6pm.com today to list—BCBG, Nine West, designer denim—plus right now your $100+ order ships for free.

Which means that probably I deserve two pairs of shoes.

Still missing the Friday Sale…

… but trying to soothe my disappointment. Alas.

Here’s a quickie for you before I run out to take my kid to the doctor (’tis the season!): Right now at Dillards, they have the Clinique Fall Gift Set available—it’s free with any $21.50+ Clinique purchase! (Just click on “Beauty” and then the graphic to see it.

Totally ignoring the contents (which are kind of fabulous, anyway), I just really like the bag this one comes in. Super cute.

Last day for some grocery specials

I’m pretty sure I mentioned some of these last month, but today is the last day to save extra on a variety of the current grocery specials at Amazon.

Most notably—because this is the one my kids like best—today is the last day to score extra savings on the GoGo Squeez applesauce pouches when you combine Subscribe & Save (15% off and free shipping) with coupon code GOGO4343 (another 10% off).

I ordered some earlier, but I just placed a second order. With the discounts, the 48 pouches of apple-peach I just ordered came to about $.42/serving. Considering that these puppies cost about a buck apiece at my local supermarket, I’m stoked. And listen, I’m all about fresh fruit in the kids’ lunches, but I love that these are shelf stable with nothing added.

Bonus tip: Sometimes I throw these in the freezer, which essentially renders them ice packs in the lunch bags.

They didn’t want to be left out

Far be it from Bon-Ton to let Macy’s top them; they’re offering an extra 20% off most items (10% or 15% off others) today, too. Just use coupon code GOODWILLS11 to scoop up the savings.

I’m seeing some unreal deals even before the coupon; stack up the savings and enjoy.

Highlight it all

Have Amazon Prime, or don’t, but are looking for a little something to get your order up to $25 for that Free Super Saver Shipping?

I love highlighters. And I love Sharpies. And now I’m swooning, because these deals on Sharpie Highlighters are fantastic, and what little nerd (speaking of my children, of course) doesn’t love getting Sharpie Highlighters in their stocking? Exactly!

Choose from the pocket-style or tank-style set, both under $4 for a rainbow of a dozen high-quality pens.

It is a little sad, how excited these sorts of office supply deals make me. But not so sad that I’m not stocking up, mind you.

Get a jump on Entertainment

It’s true that as the year goes on, Entertainment coupon books will drop in price, but it’s pretty rare to snag a deal on them before the year’s even started.

Today (September 15th, 2011) only, shop Entertainment and get your 2012 books for 15% off the cover price, plus (the even better bargain, in my opinion) your order will ship for free.

Can you buy them later? Absolutely. But if you like to have yours before the year starts, this is probably the best deal we’re going to see before January.

You’re a VIP at Macy’s

Awwwww, look at Macy’s, not even waiting until the weekend to bust out the extra savings. Way to break the mold, Macy’s!

Use coupon code VIP20 for an additional 20% off most stuff, and 10% on the rest (watches, electronics and furniture, most notably). Shipping on $99+ is free, otherwise it’s a flat $8 for your entire order.

It’s like a little early dose of weekend.
