I scream, you scream
Hopefully if you’ve been wanting an ice cream maker, you got one before now. I mean, summer’s nearly over. (For those of you who don’t live here in the south, anyway. Our summer will continue for another 3 or 4 months, yet.) But if you’ve been wanting one and haven’t found the right deal yet, check this out: Amazon currently has the Cuisinart ICE-21 Frozen Yogurt, Ice Cream & Sorbet maker available for just $27.97 shipped.
I loved my Cuisinart ice cream maker right up until I replaced with with another (bigger!) Cuisinart ice cream maker. Ours gets plenty of use, because what’s not to like about making your own frozen confections? Nothing, that’s what.
I’m a fool for Threadless
I just got an email from Threadless that they’ve got a slew of new $10 reprints, and that’s fantastic. Of course, after clicking through, I also checked to see if they have $5 shirts right now, and they do—in the women’s section alone, I got nearly 50 choices.
Might be time to surprise my kids with some new shirts. We pink puffy heart Threadless. (My son is wearing his “I’m a noun!” shirt today, in fact.)
And I just used my blender this morning
With the return to school, I am back into Smoothie Season, otherwise known as the breakfast of champions for surly teens who aren’t awake enough for breakfast until around 2nd period or so. My blender and I have a deep and close relationship, is my point.
You may remember that after some research, I shared with you how delighted I was to find a deal on my KitchenAid 5-speed blender, last year, after discovering that it out-performed even several more expensive brands.
Well, today Amazon has this very blender in white at an all-time lowest price—just $55 shipped.
This blender is a tank and I can recommend it wholeheartedly. Ours makes smoothies five mornings a week, chewing through frozen fruit with ease. It cleans up easily and the extra-large jar size is nice, too. And it’s also possible that we sometimes use it for margaritas on the weekend, but I can neither confirm or deny that rumor.
Buy yourself something pretty
Here’s another one-day free shipping deal for you: Today (August 18th), everything ships for free at The Limited, regardless of the size of your order.
You can also use coupon code 404 for an additional $15 off your $50+ order. Just because you’re smart that way. [Edited to add: Or use code INSURE for $20 off $75+. Thanks, Loey!]
They’re having 40% off on shirts and dresses, too. You could score some great deals between the sale, free shipping, and the coupon.
[Thanks for the tip, Jasmine!]
Nice pants
Hey, they’re having a one-day sale over at Dockers today (August 18th): use coupon code 1DAY30 to take an extra 30% off of their already-reduced items.
I think “Dockers” and immediately assume men’s pants, even though I know they sell women’s clothing, too, as well as tops. It’s like a Pavlovian response. Dockers = khakis. But the flip side of that is that then I go look at the site and am always pleasantly surprised to see shorts and skirts and other stuff, too.
Shipping is free on your $100+ order, or a flat $7.50 otherwise.
For your budding Design Star
If I had little ones, I would be all over today’s deal at Kids.Woot, which is a Discovery Kids Color Me Playhouse. What’s more fun than a fort? A fort you get to color yourself!
The Kids.Woot price today is just $15 plus $5 shipping, which I would probably offset by buying an extra or two. For reference, this bad boy usually goes for around $30, which is still its current price over at Amazon.
Alternatively, you can toss a random cardboard box and a set of markers at your kid. Lord knows I did that. But I suspect you’re nicer than I am.
Fun to say, fun to use
The truth is that I would probably love the Joby Gorillapod even if it was useless, because, come on. Gorillapod! Hand me the Gorillapod, won’t you? Now where did I put that Gorillapod? If only I had a gorilla here to hold my Gorillapod for me. See how fun? Great name for a product.
But it turns out that the Gorillapod is actually really, really cool and somewhat universally loved by photographers for its ability to anchor your camera just about anywhere. Think of it as a bionic, super-flexible tripod.
Better yet, go grab one right now at Amazon, because they have the Joby GP3 Gorillapod SLR-Zoom available right now from a couple of third-party sellers for just $15 and free shipping. Direct from Amazon it’s current $38, and it’s normally anywhere between $30-$45.
Bam, one gift for the photo-nut in your family for this year, done.
Hey, it’s Wednesday
It’s not only Wednesday—which of course means there’s a big sale going on at Kohls—but it’s the last day to use coupon code HITTHEBOOKS for an extra 30% off your order. (That only works if you have a Kohls charge card. Non-card holders can use code NEW9394 for an extra 10% off, though.)
Everyone gets free shipping on their $75+ order, or Kohls charge card holders can use code FUN4MVC for free shipping on any order.
Don’t forget to use up your Kohls cash from the last earning period, too! If you’re anything like me, you won’t have any problems finding something you “need” over at Kohls….
The yummiest gifts
Quick, go check out the summer clearance over at Oneida—they’ve got pizza stones down to just $7.99, all manner of children’s baking sets for $8.99, and adorable little apron sets for them for $10.99. There’s other stuff, too, but you know how I love any gift that has to do with food.
Right now shipping is just $2.99 for orders under $99, and free for orders above it. Add in coupon code TTE10 for an additional 10% off, too.
I’m off to stock the gift closet….
So wrong and yet so right
I’m sorry, but I can’t stop laughing at today’s t-shirt deal on Tanga. Keep Calm and Eat Bacon? It’s wrong, I know.
Still. I might need one.
