Because summer isn’t really over
In the parlance of the fashion industry, summer is already history. Fini! Kaput! But those of us still “enjoying” seasonal temps (hahahaha) understand that—depending on where you live—summer has a month or three to go, yet.
And that makes all of these end-of-season sales all the sweeter; you don’t even have to wait until next year to enjoy your purchases!
Today at 6pm.com, they’ve got pages and pages of sandals at up to 90% off. Stock up for next year, or just nab yourself something pretty to wear for the next few months. At prices like these, you hardly need an excuse.
A clean mouth is a happy mouth
We’re big on oral hygiene, ’round here. Let’s pretend that has nothing to do with protecting the investment we’ve made in braces for my ungrateful children, but instead is just because I know and value how important it is to your overall health. Yeah, that’s it.
So I’m digging this Amazon special on select Listerine, Rembrandt, and Reach products right now. Save 15% and get free shipping when you buy via Subscribe & Save, as always, but save another 15% with coupon code ORLCREAU, too. Code may only be used once per account, so choose carefully.
We generally use the discount on mouthwash. Sometimes I wonder if my kids are bathing in it. (Or… using it instead of brushing their teeth. Probably best not to think too hard on this one.)
One more chance for free shipping
Apparently the fifty different sales they had this summer may not have been enough to convince you to do your back-to-school shopping at Children’s Place, so today they’re giving you one last chance—shop today (Monday, August 8th) only, and get free shipping, automatically.
Coupon code X3E2011 will take an additional 15% off your order, too.
Of course, they’re calling it a back-to-school sale, and school starts for us today. Had I actually forgotten anything, I’m thinking we wouldn’t get it in time, you know? Still, free shipping is always nice.
Luxury skincare, department store price
Ooooh, if you didn’t snag this one the last time it was offered, you may want to check it out this time: Mamasource is offering $55 worth of Terralina products for just $20, today.
I snagged a couple of these the last time it was offered and stocked my bathroom. After a few months of using these products, I can tell you that I absolutely love them—the exfoliating face scrub is my favorite, as it’s gentle enough for even my sensitive, persnickety skin, but really leaves my face soft and fresh. I’m also a fan of their under-eye cream… though, really, last time I bought some of everything and haven’t been disappointed yet.
Shipping is free, and many items are already on sale over at Terralina, so this is truly an incredible deal on all-natural products. I’m going to buy some more, in fact.
Friends and Family weekend at Kohls
Have plans to pick up a few things from Kohls this weekend? It’s Friends and Family time, which means everyone can use coupon code CCAUG62 for 20% off everything.
Tons of Power Hour specials are going on right now, plus shipping is free on $75+ or $.99/item, otherwise.
(Pssst! If you’ve been wanting a Keurig—not exactly a back-to-school item unless your kid has a caffeine habit, but whatever—buying it on sale with the coupon right now is about the best price I’ve seen.)
Book it for free shipping, today only
Happy Friday from Books-a-Million—today (August 5th) only, they’re offering free shipping on every order. Just apply coupon code SHPFR82 at checkout. A few restrictions apply, but I trust the Bargains section and the under-$3 fiction presents plenty of opportunities for us savers to take advantage of this one.
Flower power for the girls
I feel like the Target Daily Deals have been only so-so, lately, but today they have a couple of deals that leave me wishing my daughter would still let me dress her. For $7-$8 apiece (and free shipping), choose either denim capris or a skort, both embroidered with flowers. Super cute!
Perfect for back-to-school, and it’s hard to argue with the price.
(Unless you have a teenager, of course… then she’ll argue with you about anything. Ahem.)
Big movies in little spaces
Oooooh, I’m kind of tempted by today’s Deal of the Day at Best Buy—it’s a 19″ flat screen Polaroid TV with a built-in DVD player.
Ordinarily I’m not a fan of combo items; if one part breaks, you’re out of luck on the whole thing if you take it in for a repair. But for a bedroom set or other “extra,” this is a very tempting price on a decent little television.
But my children still aren’t allowed TVs in their rooms, because I’m mean like that.
Attention scrappers: Get your Cricut on
Listen; the only scrapbooking I’ve ever done consists of having been dragged to one of those home parties, spending some money on a kit after I’d had a couple of glasses of wine, and ever since then, wondering where I misplaced my kids’ baby books. This is to say: I am not a scapper. I consider it a good day if I remember to get dressed. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t understand that scrapbooking is something lots of people enjoy, and are probably good at. Just, you know, not me personally.
Amazon currently has the Cricut 29-0001 Personal Electronic Cutting Machine on sale for about $100 shipped. That seems like a lot to me (particularly as I have no idea why it’s so wonderful, other than that scrapping-types seem to love it). But look! Today Tanga has the same machine available, refurbished, for just $60 shipped. That’s a whole lot more economical, even if it makes you a sandwich while you’re working.
It doesn’t, though. I mean, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t. (If it did, I’d probably buy one.)
Save at Gap, again
Shopping at Gap today? Use coupon code 30off to—you guessed it—30% off nearly everything.
And I’m not even going to sing the 80s Gap jingle and get it stuck in your head, this time. You’re welcome.
