Stock up on health and beauty, too
Amazon’s on fire today! Here’s another great special: For one week only, stock up on your favorite health and beauty items and save an additional 30% with coupon code FAVBRAND.
The only drawback I see is that many of these products are an extra 15% off with Subscribe & Save, but the coupon is only good once per account. If you want multiple items, skip S&S and buy them together, I guess.
I’m seeing some great prices even before the discount on some of my favorite Neutrogena products. Decisions, decisions….
Back-to-School for under $5
Check it out: Amazon is currently offering over 100 back-to-school items for under $5, and most of them qualify for free Prime shipping.
Pick up some of the essentials without having to fight through the crowds at Target for the last pack of glue sticks. (Not that I’ve ever done that. Or been that parent who’s standing in the middle of the aisle wondering where the heck they’re hiding the dry erase markers this year. Ahem.)
Do check the prices with a critical eye; some items are value-priced, while others are just normal price (probably sprinkled throughout in the hopes you won’t notice). If you’re willing to take the time to sift through, though, there’s plenty of deals to be had. All from the comfort of home.
Label it for less
I know that a lot of you don’t start back to school for what seems like ages, but I’ll be back to taxi duty and packing lunches in just a week, so I thought I’d share the pain joy. Ahem. Of course a new school year means a new crop of gear they can leave all over your house and otherwise attempt to lose, so make sure you have plenty of labels on hand for the new year.
Why not check out today’s deal at Mamasource? Today you can snag $30 worth of labels from Kiddo Tags for just $15. Slap ’em on everything from sweatshirts to notebooks to thermoses.
Take it from me—it won’t stop them from losing stuff, but it increases the chances of said stuff making its way back to you, at least.
New month, new grocery specials
Good morning! Can you believe it’s already August? I have no idea where July went. I meant, it was right here, and then, *poof* it was gone. Weird.
The best thing about a new month is that it brings a whole new crop of grocery specials at Amazon. Gear up for the school lunches you’ll be packing with this month’s special on Annie’s Homegrown—save an additional 25% when you apply coupon code Y7RBIXY3 and purchase via Subscribe & Save.
It may not completely ease the sting of summer being that much closer to being over, but it’ll help.

A very triumphant Friday
Hey, we made it to Friday! This is an auspicious day for my family, because today is my daughter’s last day of marching band camp. Band camp is incredibly grueling, and every day I received texts detailing how many people passed out on the field. But now that she’s made it through, she’s earned the right to start every other sentence with “This one time, at band camp…?” We’re so proud.
Perhaps you don’t have a kid in the marching band, in which case you probably need some deals for entertainment, instead. I can help.
Today and tomorrow, skip the store and shop Walgreens online; you can use coupon code FAMILY10 for $10 off your $50+ order (and all orders of $25+ ship for free). I’m going to knock out most of our school supply list with this one.
I think I’m finally giving up on the Amazon Friday Sale, but remember last Christmas when Babysitting Mama for the Wii was new and cool and expensive? Just $12.99 at Amazon, now, and I have to say I’m totally intrigued by the fact that you stuff the wiimote in the baby doll to play. Heh.
They’ve got all kinds of sales going on now at Macy’s, and you can use coupon code BRIGHT25 to take $25 off your $125+ order. Some brand restrictions apply, so you may have to play with it a little, but it does work on sales and clearance items.
Milk does a body good; go get your $1 off any white milk coupon for your next grocery run.
Shopping Lands’ End this weekend? Coupon code PARENTSA11 with PIN 8355 will give you free shipping on any order, plus an additional $10 off $50+. It looks like it might not count clearance items towards the $50, but does work with sale items.
Music to my ears: 6pm.com is offering free shipping on every order, today only. Shooooooes!
Happy shopping. Remind me to tell you about this one time, at band camp….
That’s more like it
To counteract the stroller deal from this morning (still chuckling and/or horrified by that?), I offer you two baby-themed Big Steals at Meijer for today: They have a Graco changing table for just $50 shipped, and a nice set of Avent bottles for just $16.50.
Big Steals always ship for free, and they only last from noon-noon, so these will be gone by lunchtime tomorrow.
Look at it this way: You could get six changing tables for what that “great” stroller deal would cost you. Hee.
Spend more, save more at Children’s Place
Geez, Children’s Place is just throwing one sale at us after another, right now. For the next four days, take 20% off your $40+ order with coupon code U4E2011, 25% off your $50+ order with coupon code T4E2011, or 30% off your $60+ order with coupon code R4E2011. Shipping is free on your $75+ order, otherwise it’s a flat $5.
And no, I’m not looking. I swear. I’m pretty sure I just placed an order there last week. Heh.
For your platinum baby
Let me start off with the caveat that I never spent a lot of money on strollers when my kids were little. It just wasn’t an item that I thought needed to be uber-fancy. But I get that for folks who live in cities and walk a lot, it may bear a bit more of an investment.
That said, I don’t know why this Micralite Toro stroller is normally around $500 dollars. Perhaps it feeds, burps, and changes the baby for you? It’s unclear. But today at Kids.Woot they have that stroller for $300. Which is still about $200 more than I ever spent on one.
But if that’s the stroller you’re dying to have, I’d certainly jump on getting it for 40% off, is all I’m saying.
Summer savings at American Eagle
I’m pretty sure I’m too old to shop there, but my teen seems to be developing an interest in American Eagle, which means I’m all over this one. For just two days, their clearance items are all being reduced an extra 40% when you add them to your cart.
Stack that with coupon code 92483511 for another 15% off, too.
Shipping is free on your $100+ purchase, or when you buy any jeans that aren’t on clearance. (They can be on sale, but not on clearance.) Did that all make your head hurt? Because it made mine hurt, a little. Still. I’m off to check it out.
