Hurry to MYHABIT for cheap jewelry!
If you haven’t yet used the $25 coupon code SUMMER25 over at MYHABIT, get on over there, pronto. One of their boutiques today is Gorjana jewelry, and I spy several pretty options in the $35 range, which would mean just $10 out of pocket with the coupon code.
MYHABIT sells out quickly, so don’t delay if you want in.
Light up your little ones with fun
My kids had something like this when they were little, and they loved them. Right now Amazon has two Fisher-Price creature flashlights marked down: the Wild Lights Monster is just $4.73 and the Wild Lights Unicorn is $6.26. (Both ship for free with Prime, or on $25+ with Super Saver Shipping.)
These would be perfect for the gift closet, by the way; they usually go for around $13. And yes, I’d rather my kid not have a flashlight that makes animal noises, I guess, but the ones my kids used to have (tigers, if I recall) brought them so much joy, a little bit of gratuitous roaring seemed a small price to pay.
There’s still time to save on pampering!
Lovelies, pretty Mary from Heal My Sole has—in addition to sponsoring the contest from a few weeks back—graciously extended coupon code want5 through July 22nd. Yay! That means you have a few more days to shop her all-natural health and beauty products and save $5 on your $35 order.
I’m thinking these mini peppermint foot scrubs might be perfect holiday gifts for teachers, myself. Or just stocking stuffers for the ladies you love. I mean, who doesn’t love a peppermint foot scrub? I feel pretty just thinking about it.
Thanks, Mary!
Save 30% at Gap
(Am I the only person who really wants to call it “the Gap” instead of just plain Gap? I blame the “fall into the Gap” commercials of my youth, and if you’re too young to have ever seen those, just ignore me.)
For the next couple of days, you can use coupon code GAP30 to take 30% off your purchase at Gap. The bad news is that it doesn’t apply to school uniforms, but the good news is that the school uniforms are currently already 30% off. (Hey, Gap? Do the words “needlessly complicated” mean anything to you…?)
I see this as an opportunity to pick up a little something-something for yourself while getting uniforms for the kids. Or whatever.
Stock up on first aid
Whether you’re truly accident prone or just have one of those kids who needs a band-aid for every invisible injury, check out this 280-piece variety Band-Aid pack at Amazon—applying coupon code WNDCRJUL and buying via Subscribe & Save brings it down to under $10 shipped.
As someone who truly is accident prone, I am looking forward to having something in the house that doesn’t have Hello Kitty or Bob the Builder on it to dress my wounds. (Yes, my kids are older. It’s possible we have a lot of leftover band-aids from when they were younger. Hush.)
Saturday deals
Gooooood morning! It’s been awfully quiet the last few days; I think maybe everyone is in a Harry Potter hangover stupor. (No, we haven’t seen it yet. Maybe today. Woo!) Anyway, here’s a few deals for you to check out today….
It’s Friends and Family time at Children’s Place! Take 25% off your entire order, this weekend only, with coupon code FRIENDS.
In addition to their bevy of shoe deals, this weekend 6pm.com is having a “clothing garage sale.” I was skeptical, but hello check out prices of up to 95% off in that section. (Is it getting hot in here…?) There’s a nice selection of Halloween costumes for the kids in there, by the way.
If you’re doing the Harry Potter thing this weekend, what better time to grab yourself a “Don’t make me go all Expelliarmus on you!” t-shirt? Exactly. Check it out over at Tanga—just $8 shipped.
Macy’s has another one-day sale going on, with Elizabeth Arden bonuses and web busters and all manner of good things. Worth checking out.
I know a lot of you snapped up some awesome swim deals at Lands’ End earlier this week, but now they’ve got a coupon code good on anything—use code HEATWAVE with PIN 8292 for $20 off your $75+ order, plus free shipping on $50+.
How about a couple of deals for (wo)man’s best friend? Sure thing! Right now at Amazon, you can save an additional 25% on select Wet Noses all-natural treats when you apply coupon code WETNOSE7 with your purchase via Subscribe & Save. These treats are wheat/corn/soy-free, so suitable even for your sensitive pooch. Also, if your dog tends to chew up toys faster than you can replace ’em, check out today’s Sweet Deal at Mamasource for half off some durable, eco-friendly dog toys made here in the U.S.
That should be plenty to get you started on a day of savings, yes? I’m off to stock up for my spoiled doggie.
It’s a very soggy Friday
When you live in the land of drought, you’re not supposed to complain about a lot of rain. So I’m not. Complaining, that is. I am just looking at the soggy outdoors very sternly. And staying inside.
Please note that in addition to their regular Daily Deals at Target today, they’re also having a Black Friday in July event. There are a few good deals in there, so take a look.
Not to be outdone, in addition to the Amazon Friday Sale, Amazon is also running a LG event, with discounts on all manner of LG home electronics. Several of you have asked me for help finding televisions, lately, and LGs are state of the art, so check out those options if you’re in the market.
In the continuing theme of really-are-we-talking-about-Christmas-already (answer: heck yes!), Philosophy is having a discount event on holiday products, today only! Stack those 30% off savings with coupon code 10off50 for another $10 off your $50+ order, and you could knock out several holiday gifts before school even starts up again, you smartypants, you.
Crocs is doing Black Friday today, too. Use coupon code FALLSHIP for free shipping.
And if you’re feeling ritzy, the anniversary sale is currently on at Nordstrom. I’m not saying the prices are low, exactly, but you will find some of their lowest prices of the year.
Now I want a big new television and a new fancy purse. Hmph.
School will be back before you know it
It’s hard to believe, but summer’s nearly over (at least for us, here in the south). My kids go back the first week of August, which means that it’s almost time for me to curl up in a little ball under my desk. (Why, yes, my youngest is starting middle school this year; how did you know?) In the meantime, though, that means big savings at Discount School Supply. Right now you can save 20% on everything—even stuff already marked down—with coupon code TWENTYEV.
If you’ve never shopped there, they’re a great resource for homeschoolers, but I buy stuff there, too. I’m always up for cheap school supplies!
Come take the Savings Pledge with me!
Those of you who’ve been around a while may remember that last year I was named one of the Savings.com 2010 DealPros, which made me feel all warm and fuzzy and pretty. It also means that through the magic of partnering with a larger organization, I’m now able to bring you even more deals and sometimes extra-super-awesome giveaways and such.
I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been selected for 2011 as well, which means now I feel extra pretty, and all kinds of additional awesomeness will be coming your way here at Want Not, too. But most immediately, I want to invite you to join us in the Savings Pledge.
Over on the Want Not Facebook page (you are a fan of Want Not on Facebook, right?), you may have noticed there’s a new application tab for the Savings Pledge. The theory behind it is simple: Those of us who work to bring you deals and tips want to help you really commit to making a difference in your savings, and we want it to be fun and doable at the same time. Also, we’re doing it, too. In fact, let me tell you some more about that. read more…
Love your Levi’s, for less
It’s another great savings opportunity over at Levi’s right now—today only, they’re offering an additional 50% off already-marked-down sale prices with coupon code JULY50. That means up to 75% off!
Shipping is free on your $50+ order, otherwise it’s a flat $7.50.
Who doesn’t like jeans? Kitten-kickers, that’s who. (I hear even they sometimes wear jeans, too.)
