Amazon toy markdowns, little of this and that edition
A smattering of current toy markdowns for your viewing pleasure; I notice we’ve reached the point where some previously marked down items have gone back up in price, while others have dropped even lower. And Amazon no longer does price adjustments, so you can add a bit of gambling fun into your shopping. (“Will it go lower? Should I wait? What if I roll snake eyes? Wait, why do I have dice?”)

Mega Bloks Dual-Blast Dragon Hunter for $13 (63% off)
Metroid: Other M for Wii for $20 (60% off)
It’s like a little mini-Christmas before Christmas, watching prices fall at Amazon….
Wii mania, Wii party (Disney style)
Just like I’m not shopping for LEGO, I’m not shopping for Wii games. Much.
Just found these two marked down: Choose from either Toy Story Mania! or Guilty Party for just $20 apiece (half Target’s current price).
Great reviews on both. Not that I’m looking.
Amazon toy markdowns, random LEGO edition
I am not buying LEGO. I am not buying LEGO, not even for the pitiful LEGO-lover who has been sick since last Thursday. I am not.
Ahem.
Maybe you are, though. Here are a few things I found… um… for you. At Amazon.
LEGO Creator Bulk Set for $25 (50% off) (610 pieces!!)
LEGO Prince of Persia Quest Against Time for $29 (42% off)
LEGO World Racers Gator Swamp for $25 (37% off)
LEGO Toy Story Buzz’s Star Command Ship for $20 (33% off)
LEGO Toy Story Trash Compactor Escape for $35 (30% off)
(I’m thinking I may finally be going ’round the bend just a little bit; as I was scoping these out I was thinking they should really make a LEGO set that allows you to build a replica of a vacuum cleaner, so that when you end up randomly vacuuming up pieces at least you can feel all meta about it. I know. Shutting up, now.)
Cyber Monday redux at Toys ‘R’ Us
Is it deja vu? No, it’s one hot day of deals at Toys ‘R’ Us, with markdowns like I’ve never seen there before.
Shipping is free on most items with your $49+ purchase.
Just a few ridiculously good deals:
Fisher Price Imaginext Ocean Mega Playset for $19.99
Bakugan Super Fun Art Kit for $3.24 (this would be a kick-butt party favor at a Bakugan party instead of a goody bag, mamas)
Esphera Aquatic Art Puzzle or Josephine’s Wall Fantasy Puzzle for $6.24 (we did one of these globe puzzles last year and the kids loved it)
DaVinci’s Challenge Game for $1.99 (great reviews at Amazon, where it’s currently still $18)
I could lose a ton of time poking around, here. Suffice it to say there are deals aplenty. Just in case you need more toys. Yes, please picture me cackling evilly, right here.
More dailies (you know you love ’em)
Pretty Lori emailed me this morning on the hunt for a super-warm winter coat, and I had just two answers for her: First, Eddie Bauer‘s 12 Days of Gifts deal today is $50 off outerwear (woo!), plus today and tomorrow only you can use coupon code KRINGLE for free shipping on your order; and second, I see plenty of coats in the Overstocks at Lands’ End, plus today is the last day to use coupon code DEC13 with PIN 1118 to take 40% off your highest-price item and get free shipping on $75+.
Meanwhile, today’s deals at 6pm include pages upon pages of boots under $50, and that’s aside from the cheap Reebok EasyTones and Skechers ShapeUps and all the rest of today’s deals. Though I’m still waiting on today’s Holiday Blitz item to show up—the folks who run 6pm aren’t very good at telling time.
And finally, if you’ve been thinking about a memory foam mattress, today’s big deal over at Overstock is a 10″ Bodipedic memory foam queen size mattress for $299. Personally, I’m more in the market for a warm coat than a bed, but it’s a deal worth mentioning.
Now all I need is a daily deal on someone to bring me some more coffee….
The perfect little gift for your favorite iGeek
So you’re looking for a stocking stuffer for your favorite Apple nerd. You know the one, the person whose iPhone or iPad appears to be an extension of their body? Yeah, that guy/gal.
I found it for you: Head on over to ThinkGeek and pick up this set of app magnets. Are those not hilarious? I love them, and at $13 for a set of 18, they won’t even break the bank.
Use coupon code NEXTORDER to save $5 on $25 (pssst… that’ll nicely take care of your shipping, if buying two sets of magnets!) or $10 on $40+. Really, the only way this could be better would be if it came with a bonus “I HEART THINKGEEK” magnet, too.
Geek out and prosper, my friends.
Rock out with Target today
I’m really going to miss the Mega-Merry Monday thing in the Target Daily Deals once the holiday season is over. There’s nothing quite like a giant crop of deals to start the week off right!
The headline deal today is over half off a Peavey Rockmaster guitar bundle—choose from three colors, and for $70 you get everything you need to start rockin’ out. That’s a fabulous deal if you have a kid wanting an electric guitar but parents who’d still like to be able to pay the mortgage.
The supporting deals aren’t bad, either, with a bunch of cameras and camcorders available amidst other random things like women’s sweaters, perfume, tooth-whitening strips, and… a mangroomer. Because nothing says “Merry Christmas” like the gift of “Honey, I’m tired of shaving your back for you, so I got you something so you can do it yourself.”
Coupon code JUH5H3OD is still working for an additional 10% off, too. (Some restrictions apply, like sometimes those codes don’t work on electronics, but it’s finicky so try it and see. It definitely works on the guitar bundle, though.) (I didn’t try it on the mangroomer. I’ll leave that up to you.)
Hey hey, Amazon deals
A few hits at Amazon today, for those of you who like to leave your holiday shopping for as late as humanly possible (heh):
Today’s Gold Box offering is the Scotch TL901 Laminator for just $17. There was a rebate deal on this laminator a while back, but if you missed it, $17 is a great price on a handy little machine. Or this would be a very generous teacher gift for those of you who have kids little enough that lamination is still an important part of their classroom experience.
If you’ve been hemming and hawing about an iPod Touch, maybe I can help… right now Amazon has the latest generation 32 GB iPod Touch available for $270 with a $25 gift card. The gift card is available only on this size, and don’t forget to add it to your cart (it’s not automatic) if you buy.
Still on the fence about getting a Wii? Two available deals, right now: Choose either the black Wii Sports Resort bundle for $177, or get the white Wii Sports Resort bundle for $199 and get a $50 Amazon credit! Personally I cannot imagine wanting the black so badly as to give up $22 in free money, but to each their own.
Twelve days left ’til Christmas, folks. Just thought I’d throw that friendly reminder out there.
Better than Barbie dolls
Have you been looking for Barbie-size dolls for your favorite little girl(s) that don’t involve huge, um, tracts of land, stiletto heels, and skimpy outfits? Meet the Liv dolls, more realistic teenager fashion dolls. They have removable wigs (pop ’em off and swap ’em out) and fourteen points of articulation, so they can be posed a lot more easily than Barbies. Plus, they wear non-hoochie clothes and do all kinds of outdoorsy things that real girls who don’t live in malls or nightclubs do. (I bet you can’t tell how I feel about Barbies from all of this….)
Anyway, all of the Liv After School Cool dolls are currently on sale at Amazon for over half off. For just $7 apiece, choose from Katie, Daniela, Hayden, Sophie, or Alexis.
Or if you’d rather get the doll with a few accessories, choose the Katie Outdoor Fashion Doll (she comes with her gear and ripstick) or the Sophie Outdoor Fashion Doll (she comes with her stylist tools) for $10 apiece, instead.
You have to love a doll that comes with skateboard gear. C’mon. Girl power!
Sunday deals, while I hide
Goooooood afternoon! I have one child still down sick and the other one has a giant project to finish up today. I’ll be hiding in my office, here, for most of the day, accordingly. (Joking! Mostly!)
What wondrous deals has this Sunday wrought? Let’s find out!
Today is Day 13 of 17 Days of Video Game Deals at Amazon, and today is all about action sports. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games is down to just $30 for the Wii!
Another goody at Amazon, for Snap Circuits fans: The Snap Circuits Alternative Energy Kit is down to $35 shipped. (Snap Circuits are quite possibly the coolest toy ever. We love them.) And check out this Hape Parking Garage for just $21! So cute!
There’s a bunch of drugstore deals to check out, today—first, Walgreens is offering $10 off your $40 purchase with coupon code TEN40, and you can, of course, use that on whatever you like, but I’ll just mention that the Lindt chocolate bars and Lindor truffles are currently on a 2 for $3 and 2 for $5 special, respectively. Ahem.
Next, today at Soap.com, take 50% off your Maybelline purchases (up to a total $15 discount) with coupon code FBMAYBELLINE. Shipping is always free on $25+, and don’t forget to use coupon code WANT4632 for an extra 15% off your entire order if you’re a new customer.
Lastly, Drugstore.com is offering discounts on all sorts of green products today, so it might be a good time to stock up on your favorite Method/Seventh Generation/Tom’s of Maine/etc. products.
Did you know that Build-A-Bear is doing daily deals right now? Today it’s buy one bear, get one free (on three select styles); just use coupon code 95639 at checkout.
Coming up later I’ll finally have last week’s prize winner for you. I didn’t forget, life just crept up and attacked me. Heh. Stay tuned!
