It’s a holideal at Old Navy
Ho ho ho, today’s deal at Old Navy is a 20% off coupon you can use on almost everything! (Riddle me this: It works on everything but sweaters and “everyday steals,” which means you can use it on clearance but not on things just natural cheap. Huh?) Just use coupon code ONGIFT20, today (December 10th) only.
Coupon code ONSWEATER is still working for buy one, get one sweaters, if you’d rather.
Shipping is a flat $7, unless you spend $50+, at which point it’s free. That’s… a little bit enabling. But I’m not going to complain.
Did somebody say Bakugan?
Remember how last year I was grooving on all the cheap Bakugan, and I was telling myself, “It’s okay! By next year he’ll be into something else!”? Guess what! Still into Bakugan. Please send help.
But it’s okay (sort of), because Amazon has me covered with the markdowns. And the Dekas, which—in case you don’t know—are the bigger Bakugan. I like to call them Bakugan on steroids.
Check ’em out:
Bakugan Deka Copper Rock Hammer for $4.99 (55% off)
Bakugan Deka Brown Avior for $4.99 (55% off)
Bakugan Deka Gray Lumagrowl for $5.99 (45% off)
Bakugan Deka Black Ramdol Season 3 for $5.99 (45% off) (the picture on this one is incorrect, I think, just FYI).
And finally, just in case you haven’t yet succumbed to the wonder that is the Bakugan Battle Arena, that’s currently $10 (60% off).
I’m just sharing the love, you understand. You’re welcome!
This probably is the LEGO you’re looking for
Just in time for the associate bevy of toy markdowns, Amazon’s decided to offer up a slew of LEGO for a buy one, get one half off promotion. Many Star Wars-themed sets are included! (Someone go poke Liza, she was asking for these.)
I’m not looking. I already bought all the LEGO we need. Not looking at all. Nope. Well, maybe just a little.
But first I’m going to go find a mirror to see if I have “sucker” stamped on my forehead.
I miss the play kitchen days
When my children were very small, one Christmas Santa brought them a whole little kitchen setup, and after just a few days in the designated play space, we moved it all into the actual kitchen. While I cooked, they cooked. I made real food that they didn’t eat, and they served me things like plastic cupcakes topped with rubber steaks that I didn’t eat.
It was a beautiful thing, is my point.
Right now Little Tikes is offering their space-saving side-by-side kitchen for just $40. It has everything your little ones need to cook up their own fun, and coupon code BKOF1030 will take off $10, which will just about cover the shipping.
You really haven’t lived until you’ve found a (stuffed) pig in the (fake) dishwasher, and then are offered a (plastic) bacon and pancake sandwich. I’m just sayin’.
Nothing’s worse than frozen ears
Still working on stocking stuffers? How about this ingenious trio of adjustable ear wraps for just $10 shipped?
I mean, they’re not quite as cool as pink, fuzzy earmuffs, but at least they’ll keep your ears warm.
Amazon toy markdowns, vroom vroom edition
It’s the mooooost wonderful tiiiiime of the yeeeeeear….
Lookie what I found! Things that go, for less.

Airhogs Nano Zero Gravity Real Rides in Mustang GT Red, Nissan GTR White, or Mini Cooper-S Union Jack for $15 (50% off)
Hot Wheels Trick Tracks Bionic Battle Sets for $12 (63% off).
It’s on, baby. It’s like Christmas already started, only instead of peeking under the tree, I have six Amazon windows open at once. Heh.
Half off, today only
On the 11th day of their 12 days of holiday days, Lane Bryant is giving to you… $30 off $60+ with coupon code 006955915!
Shipping is free to your local store, or a flat $7 to your home. (Or to somebody else’s home, one presumes. I don’t think they check.) (But that would be weird, to randomly send your stuff to someone else’s house.) (Shutting up, now.)
More bargain pampering
If you’re like me, ’tis the season where you can hardly resist the shower gels and wee adorable hand sanitizers from Bath and Body Works. They have lots and lots of specials going on right now, but let’s make it even better.
Right now, coupon code F102785 takes $10 off your order. It will work on order totals of less than $10, but here’s the catch: If you spend less than $10, you’ll be charged $10 for shipping. Not such a great deal. (Though maybe worth doing to avoid the store; that’s up to your own personal threshold for what makes it worth it, of course.) On the other hand, if you spend $10+, shipping starts at $6.
Stack it with some specials and it could be worth your time. I’m thinking hand sanitizer makes a lovely stocking stuffer, myself. (Edited to add: I have been slain by the cuteness of the holiday reindeer pocketbacs. Done.)
Amazon toy markdowns ahoy!
It’s baaaaa-aaaaaaaaack! Those December toy markdowns are starting to happen, folks. If this is your first holiday season shopping at Amazon, prepare to start shopping for next year—we’ll be seeing prices that will rival the post-holiday clearance. As with all Amazon price drops, though, it’s often true that if you snooze, you lose. Prices will be bouncing around for the remainder of the month.
A few goodies for your consideration:
Radio Flyer tricycle for $29 (68% off)
Radio Flyer Wheelbarrow for $20 (60% off)
Learning Curve John Deere Wheelbarrow for $18 (60% off)
Transformers Bumble Bee Battle Track for $10 (67% off)
Bakugan Battle Brawlers Pack for $8 (68% off)
Tonka Chuck’s Stunt Park for $15 (says it’s 65% off, but it’s really about 50% off)
Play-Doh 3D Deluxe Flash Art Set for $8 (64% off)
And—my personal favorite—this Rock ‘N Style Hairbrush Microphone (great stocking stuffer!) for just $6 (70% off).
That’s just to get you started. It’s going to be an interesting couple of weeks, though. Chasing these markdowns is a sport unto itself. Heh.
Star Wars lovers, heads up
You are keeping an eye on all of these Holiday Lightning Deals at Amazon, right? Not only are they sneaking all sorts of things in there periodically that are truly good deals (but be careful, because some of them really aren’t a better price than usual), but clearly Amazon is hoping that I never, ever get up from this chair. It is mostly working.
Anyway, if you’re still surfing around tonight, they’ve got the giant Millenium Falcon coming up in a little bit (around 7:00 p.m. Eastern). Remember that yesterday they marked it down to $130 to pricematch Target, and now there’s the possibility of the price dropping even lower.
Just in case you need a 2-and-a-half-foot-long starship.
