Once more, with feeling

Hey, it’s Wednesday! That means a big sale at Kohls. I know you’re shocked.

Kohls card holders can still use code KCTAKE20 for 20% off your entire order, plus today is the last day to earn Kohls Cash for this period. Currently, shipping is free on $75+, automatically.

I know, I should just set this to pop up every Wednesday. Heh.

Wicked good makeup deal

The thing I love about unimportant holidays like Halloween is how retailers use them as excuses for sales. Like, today, for example, you can use coupon code BEWITCH20 for 20% off any makeup purchase at Soap.com, and the idea is that—with their automatic 2-day shipping—you’ll still have it in time for Halloween.

Because I don’t know about you, but my main concern when it’s time to go out begging for candy is whether or not my mascara looks good. Obviously.

Hey, whatever floats their boat. I’m just going to enjoy the savings.

Get a little culture

Have a bit of holiday shopping to do for the more refined loved one on your list? Not a problem! Shop at the History Channel Store today and tomorrow, and you can use coupon code AFF20 for 20% off your entire purchase. So you can pick up your favorite educational shows, like America: The Story of Us or, um, Ghost Hunting.

And yeah, it’s true—History is the parent store For A&E, Bio, and even Lifetime. So if your idea of refinement is Desperate Housewives, well, you can get that, too.

I don’t judge. (Okay, I judge just a little. But silently.)

Get your gluten-free goodies

Yes, yes, I know—not everyone enjoys the special existence which is avoiding wheat. (Sob!) But for those of us who have to stay away from gluten and want to be thrifty, gluten-free-dom presents a special fiscal challenge.

Well, October is apparently Celiac Awareness Month, which means that at the end of this week, the current Amazon specials for gluten-free stuff are going to disappear. (November is Ha Ha Too Bad For You, Gluten-Free Suckers Month.) That’s why you should go check out the 25% off Glutino, Ian’s, and Gluten-Free Pantry items deal at Amazon before it’s over. Take 10% off with coupon code GLUTENFR, then save another 15% and get free shipping when you buy via Subscribe & Save. Plenty of items are already marked down, so these savings are on top of that.

I have it on good authority (my tastebuds don’t lie) that the Glutino pretzels are the only GF ones worth eating. And I’m eyeing a certain decadent chocolate cake mix, too….

Because I’m a sucker for Eddie

Hey, you’ve got two days to shop Eddie Bauer and save the shipping; today and tomorrow, use coupon code GOOSE to ship any order for free.

They’re currently having their big down event, which is not a limbo contest, but savings on their goose down outerwear. But I kind of wish it was a limbo contest, because that would be cool.

Anyway. I’m always down (see what I did there?) with free shipping, and now you can be, too. I am going to shut up, now. You’re welcome.

Bling with whimsy. Blimsy?

I’m having a problem with linking this directly (probably because I’m being dense, though I haven’t quite figured out how to fix that…), but if you visit Groupon today and check out the deal for Hamilton, you can get $70 towards your purchase at Blend Creations for just $35. (Though I think that’s in Canadian currency, which is nearly the same as USD, but not quite.)

I love love love the jewelry at Blend; it’s cute without being cutesy and different than what you’ll see everyone else wearing. This is a great way to get something more expensive than what you might otherwise spend, but for less. Love.

Don’t be chilly

Hey, I guess that Old Navy didn’t want Piperlime getting all of the attention, this week. (I can almost hear the mannequins chanting, “Piper, Piper, Piper!” ala The Brady Bunch “Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!”) So they’ve got a great offer for you, too.

For the next three days, take 50% off any one Old Navy outerwear item with coupon code OUTER50. This is a great way to scoop up a coat that you thought you couldn’t afford until the end-of-season clearance. And if you find something that goes with those happy birthday Piperlime shoes you just bought, so much the better.

Still not cool, by the way

No matter how often I learn the words to my daughter’s favorite music and sing along with the radio in the car, she would like you to know I am still impossibly unhip. (When I dance, she would also like you know that we’re not even related.)

Anyway.

I hear this Taylor Swift person is pretty popular. And her new album, Speak Now, is currently available for download at Amazon for just $3.99. I can’t remember if I’m allowed to like her or not, but it might be a good way to curry favor with your favorite teen for just a few bucks.

Besides, I’m pretty sure it’ll work better than dancing in the car.

Happy birthday, Piperlime!

You know that when there’s a sale on shoes, I am so there. And maybe you don’t remember how Piperlime celebrated their birthday last year, but I do, and they’re doing it again, this year—every purchase gets a $25 gift certificate. Every single one, regardless of size!

That’s pretty sweet, but it gets even better. 1 in every 100 orders will get a $100 gift certificate, instead.

It’s like gambling, but legal and you get pretty shoes out of it. I will totally play those odds. (Plus, Piperlime carries a bunch of clothing, now, just in case you don’t need shoes. Although I cannot imagine what it would be like not to need shoes.)

This offer is good today only, so don’t miss it.

All professional-like

There are a few office products that appeal to me not because I truly need them, but because they make my home office feel more official. I know; I’m a total dork. I’m aware.

And really, I’m not sure I buy the supposed original price of $170 on this Brother QL-570 Professional Label Printer, but at $36 shipped from Buy.com I can see finding plenty of excuses to use it, especially when you consider that it’s still selling for $50 over at Amazon.

I’m pretty sure this is the machine my son’s school uses to print out visitor badges, now that I’m looking at it. Fancy!
