Stock up on kids
Thanks to pretty Lacey for pointing out that kids and babies are on sale at Old Navy today and tomorrow! Oh, wait… maybe it’s clothes for kids and babies. Details.
Anyway, stuff is up to 40% off, plus if you spend $50+ you can ship your order for free with coupon code ONGIVE50.
I’m thinking of picking up a couple of extra kids. You know, as emergency back-ups. What?
Welcome to Lent, here’s some candy
My daughter has given up candy for Lent. Let’s see how long that lasts.
But Easter will arrive eventually—not to mention the fact that most people aren’t giving up candy right now—so you might be interested to know that the Jelly Belly Outlet Sale is going on right now. Up to 75% off on Belly Flops (love those) and other tempting treats, and free shipping on $50+ (though if you spend $50+, I hope you have your dentist on speed dial).
I’m not even looking. I’m just drooling a little as a result of a Pavlovian response beyond my conscious control.
C’mon baby light my, um, house
You’ve ditched the standard incandescent bulbs and gone to energy-saving alternatives for lighting your home, right? Of course you have. Which is why you might want to check out this Philips Energy Saver Light Bulb Kit from Amazon for just $10.25 (Prime and Super Saver Shipping eligible). Each kit contains eight energy-saving bulbs (4 EcoVantage 45-watt bulbs, 2 Energy Saver Compact Florescent 14-watt bulbs, and 2 Halogena 40-watt bulbs). For the purpose of comparison, check this out: The Halogena 2-Pack that’s included goes for $12, alone. So basically you’re getting eight bulbs for less than the cost of two.
If you have fixtures that can use these, this would be an excellent time to stock up.
This was not part of our deal
We had a deal, Georgia. You and me. I would move here and try not to scream too loudly about your “Palmetto bugs” which are actually cockroaches on steroids, and you, in return, would have beautiful, mild weather. That was the agreement. What with the torrential downpours we’ve been experiencing (yes, I get it, the drought is officially over, thanks) and now the freezing cold temperatures, I cannot help but feel that you have welched on your end of the bargain. I’m just sayin’.
And so, today, as I sit shivering at my desk (by the window, which is drafty), because it’s 33 degrees outside, yes, I am going to take my time browsing at 6pm.com, because they have swimwear up to 80% off, and right now it feels like I will never be warm again, but I trust that someday Summer will return.
Still, I’m making very disapproving eyebrows at you right now, Georgia. You and your Palmetto bugs.
Don’t tell!
It’ll just be our little secret that I popped up the Target Daily Deals today and nearly squealed to see the peace sign tee-and-tote combo, as my daughter will positively swoon to receive such a gift, and I will pretend I paid a lot more than $5 for it. (Oh, wait. Coupon code URTYJLI8 is still working! $4.50!)
She’ll think I’m a super cool mom, but we’ll know the truth. I’m still a penny-pincher who never buys her anything she wants. Except for this, of course.
Solid Gold Wii
Heads up, Wii-lovers: Today’s Amazon Gold Box is entirely Wii-themed, with the Deal of the Day being a third off Walk It Out (music motivated fitness, it says… as if it’s too hard to walk without some Black Eyed Peas), and all of today’s Lightning Deals being something Wiitastic.
I find myself feeling much kindlier towards my Wii ever since I started losing weight. The creepy little animated balance board dude in Wii Fit is a lot more complimentary towards me, now. Always with the “You’re approaching your goal at a good pace!” and “You’ve lost some weight since last time!” He’s such a suck-up.
Put a label on it
I can’t resist a “All The Single Ladies” spoof every time a deal on a labelmaker comes up, even though I know it’s starting to get old. I am a creature of habit, what can I say?
So, here: If you like it you shoulda put a label on it with this deal at Buy.com on a Brother PT1090 Simply Stylish Labeler, because today it’s just $16 shipped. And everyone knows making labels is just plain fun.
Also, if you want to see the best Single Ladies parody ever, check out this “All The Scholar Ladies” version from HOPE Christian Schools. I’ve watched it about twenty times and it still makes me smile.
Totally less than 11
For three days only, Threadless is having a “10 Buck Tee Sale.” And—as the splash page on their website proudly proclaims—that’s prices lower than $11.
I do love a good Threadless sale. There seems to truly be something there for everyone. Or maybe just everyone in my weird little family. Whatever.
Headache help
Um, not helping getting a headache. I assume you don’t need help with that. But I will totally lend you my children, if you do.
No, this is help for once you have a headache. I personally am a big fan of Excedrin, and now you can get a coupon for a free bottle of it so you can both cure your headache and save your money.
Just be sure not to select Excedrin as one of the meds you’ve used in the past 12 months. Select anything else, but not that. Then fill in your info and wait for your coupon—that’s it!
Just in case you ran out
Just realized you’ve used up all of your Restaurant.com gift certificates? Never fear! Through February 21st, 2010, use coupon code ENJOY to take 70% off your purchase, making $25 dining certificates just $3, and saving you $22.
Just think of all the things you could do with an extra $22! Like, buy seven more $25 gift certificates, and get a cheap cup of coffee, too! (No need to thank me. It’s why I’m here.)
