More today-only savings
Have a hankering for something at Coldwater Creek? Today’s the day—use coupon code WKH6332 to save an additional 30% and get free shipping.
I don’t know about you, but I’m kind of digging 9/9/09 so far.
It’s numerical
More 9/9/09 fun: All tees are just $9 at Threadless today! Awesome.
Go West, young cheapskate
Today’s Amazon Gold Box Deal is the entire West Wing television series on DVD for $121 shipped. Now, I realize that’s not exactly chump change, but if you’re a series devotee (or if somehow you always missed it and you’ve always wanted to see it beginning to end), keep in mind that this is forty-five discs, so we’re talking less than $3 per. (In case you’re wondering, that’s 145 episodes plus extras; this is cheaper than buying them through iTunes, even.)
This would make an excellent ultimate gift for someone who was a rabid fan of the series while it was still on. Don’t make me remind you how many days it is until the holidays.
Party like it’s 9/9/09
That’s right—for 99 hours only, you can take 90% off your Restaurant.com gift certificate purchase with coupon code NINETY.
What does that mean? It means you have just a few days to scoop up $25 worth of dining for just $1 out of pocket, and you can party like someone who can actually afford a nice meal out for a change. Stock up while the getting’s good, and date night can be fantastic and frugal.
Time is running out
Just a quick reminder: You only have through September 9th, 2009 (that’s tomorrow), to snag yourself a deal at Home Decorators Outlet and save an additional $10 off your $50+ order with coupon code 8601773.
Their end-of-summer sale is going on right now, so it’s a great time to pick up a little something for the house you were sure you couldn’t afford, but now you can. And those are always the best kinds of deals!
Winter in the gift closet
Cold weather will be here before you know it, as will the need for teacher gifts, hostess gifts, and just-because gifts.
I’m digging this cute colorblock throw at Kohls for just $4.20! Get free shipping on your $100+ order, or pay $5.95 shipping on up to 5 throws, or if you have a Kohls charge card, use coupon code MVC9875 for free shipping.
Card holders save an additional 15% with coupon code SEPT15EDT, too.
(There’s plenty of other Student Lounge items on clearance as well. Poke around and be delighted!)
Laundry gets fancy
I love how there’s supposedly one “main” deal in the Target Daily Deals and then three other somehow lesser deals. Sometimes the main item leaves me cold (like today… fancy laptop backpack… zzzzzzz), but check out the others.
What does it say about me that that 3-tier laundry sorter is something I kind of love? I don’t think I want to know. Regardless, it’s really kind of cool. And you’ve gotta love those discounts paired with free shipping.
P.S. The robot lamps we got on the daily deal a few weeks ago continue to be a huge hit ’round here. Best bargain ever.
Super Wii Sonic deal
Right now the current Lightning Deal at Amazon is the Sonic and the Black Knight game for Wii for under $20. Quite a steal, and the game has good reviews.
If you want it, hurry—the deal won’t last long!
It’s time to Get More
Do you have a Discover card? Have you discovered the joy of charging everyday purchases, paying off your balance every month, and reaping the Cashback Rewards?
If you answered yes, heads up: It’s time to sign up for the Get More promotion for October – December. This upcoming quarter you can earn 5% back on groceries, movies, and restaurants.
(This is my very favorite promo, because I always buy groceries with my Discover card. There’s nothing quite like making a little shoe money just for buying milk and bread.)
It’s an Uggstravaganza
I know, I know—more shoes. I promise to stop talking about shoes for the rest of the day. Probably. Maybe. But listen, if you’ve ever wanted a pair of Uggs, today’s the day, or rather, this week’s the week. Because this week at 6pm.com they’re slashing prices on Uggs for the entire family.
The irony of writing about this on a day when the forecast high temperature is 90 degrees is not lost on me, I assure you. Still. Savings are savings, man.
