And more cheap shipping
For the next couple of days, you can get free shipping on your $125+ home purchase at Macy’s with coupon code MYHOME, and that’s nice, but what I like even better is that the clearance clothes and accessories can be gotten with $.99 shipping regardless of order size, using coupon code 99CENTS.
I do love me some Macy’s clearance. Cheap shipping is just the icing on top.
For cardsharks-in-training
I really can’t decide what I find most amusing about this.
First, that there’s a DS game called Master of Illusion designed to teach you how to do card tricks (it even comes with a deck of cards). I mean, sure, it’s only $5.99 shipped from Buy.com and that’s a great deal (it’s over twice that much at Amazon), but still.
Or… second, that Buy.com’s website states “limit 20 per customer.” Um. Really? Only twenty? But I was planning to get one for everyone in my pickpocketing gang, dude.
Why yes, I do like free shipping
Woohoo! If you’re shopping at The Company Store or Company Kids this week, you can ship your order for free with coupon code T9DSHP. They have great clearance, and when they offer a free ship code like this I stock up on all of the cheapie markdowns.
Um, because I’m cheap. But you already knew that.
A little cardio this Monday morning?
The weekend comes and goes, and Monday morning, often our thoughts turn to how we need to get back to the gym and get serious about working out.
Me, my thoughts turn to my beloved balance board, because no one needs to be able to see my floundering attempts to get fit. Ahem.
Did you know that Gold’s Gym Cardio Workout for the Wii is under $20 at Amazon right now? It is! Way cheaper than a gym membership, which means less guilt when it sits there on top of your television, glaring at you while you eat cookies.
Not that that would happen to you. I just mean, theoretically.
Okay, I’m going to stop talking now.
Saturday deals
Good morning! Eleven years ago today I became a mother. That’s pretty cool, no? And the birthday girl says I’m the best shopper she knows, so I’m going to do my thing here and then go remind my daughter that I’m still bigger than she is. (This may be my last year to do so.)
It’s possible that today’s return of the Shoes.com Saturday Sale is just coincidental, but what a lovely way to celebrate! Use code SPRING15 for an additional 15% off (some brands are excluded), and shipping is always free.
Need even more shoes? Today’s Amazon Gold Box Deal is select kids’ shoes for just $9.49 each!
This weekend you can save 25% on already-reduced items at Disney with coupon code EXTRA25. You can also stack code SHIPTODAY to ship your entire $89+ order for just $5.
The more you spend at Bare Necessities this weekend, the more you’ll save: You’ll get $15 off $100, $25 off $250, or $50 off $250 automatically. (If you haven’t heeded my gentle urging to replace that ratty old underwear by now, consider this a stronger nudge.)
Spend more and save more at Red Envelope, too: Save 10% on any order, or 15% on $80+, 20% on $125+. Shipping on orders of $80+ is automatically free.
Right now everything at ChampionUSA is an extra 20% off. They have all kinds of stuff, but I’m rather fond of their workout-wear. Which is ironic, I guess, given how much I hate to work out.
And today only, everyone can save 20% at Kohls, using coupon code BIGWKND20 (no Kohls card needed). Shipping is automatically free on $75+, or Kohls card holders can also use coupon code MVC2769 for free shipping.
I think we’ll have a contest later. Maybe after cake! Check back later today, pretties.
This Friday brought to you by scones
Last night I baked umpty-million scones. It’s a long story, involving my daughter’s need to bring a treat to school today and my inability to do math. I spent the evening baking and all night I dreamed about baking and this morning, the extras are sitting on the kitchen counter. Taunting me. So let’s take a look at the Amazon Friday Sale while I am very busy not eating any scones.
This Swerve glass set isn’t marked down all that much, frankly, but how could you not love those? No need to drink alcohol; these glasses make you feel like you’re already drunk!
Hey, my Norpro butter keeper is on sale again. The good news is, it really works. The bad news is, if you call it a Butter Bell on your website, the Butter Bell people will show up and lecture you in the comments about how it’s not a Genuine™ Butter Bell.
If you don’t have a mentally ill writer who deals with stress by spending every spare minute baking living in your home, maybe you’d like to buy a bread maker, instead. (Stop looking at me.)
This isn’t part of the Friday Sale, but if you’ve been wanting a deal on Calphalon Simply Stainless, that set for right around $100 would be hard to beat.
The Tooli lights are back, and even cheaper than before. I love these things.
Take care of some of those holiday gifts waaaaaaay ahead of time; you can get the holiday hot cocoa mix gift 2-pack for just $10. That’s two trios of chocolate royale, peppermint stick, and vanilla cream cocoas in pretty tins—6 little containers could top off other gifts, or work as hostess or teacher gifts… I’m just sayin’.
Bathing suit season is coming. And that’s all I’m going to say about that.
Don’t forget to check out the Amazon Friday Five, five great MP3 albums for just $5 each, today only.
Now. Who wants a scone??
New look, old savings
Hey, the 6pm.com website has a new look, but it’s still got the same daily deals and flat-rate shipping as before.
I’m sure I don’t need any of those RSVP shoes that are under $10 today. Really. Probably not, anyway. Ahem.
Reading material for a year
I get several magazines, and I like having them, because sometimes my attention span isn’t long enough for a book, and sometimes the kids want to make collages. On the other hand, I never pay more than a couple of bucks for a year’s worth of magazines, because, hello, I’m cheap. And when I pay next to nothing I don’t have to feel guilty if I never get around to reading them (which is what happens, more often than not).
Do you like cheap magazines? Of course you do! And now you can get cheap magazine subscriptions through Barnes & Noble, which is pretty nifty. Under a buck for Redbook, or around $3 for other favorites. Family Fun, which is hands down my favorite magazine ever, is under $5. Awesome.
Make it even better: Coupon code X8N4C7E will give you another 10% off, too.
Happy reading!
Got suits?
I know that most men no longer have to “dress” for work, but there are a few guys out there (or so I hear) who do wear a suit each and every day. If your guy is in need of a new suit or three, you might want to check out the Buy 1 Suit, Get 2 Free promo running right now at Jos. A. Bank. The sale’s only running through Saturday, April 18th, so you’d best get ordering if this is something you’ll want to get in on.
Look at it this way: For most men? Three suits is pretty much a lifetime supply!
A whole album on your keys
I’ve always liked the idea of the digital photo frame for your keychain, but I’ve often not really been impressed by the actual keychain photo frame. For one thing, the biggest complaint I hear is that the battery dies pretty quickly. For another, I’ve often wondered how the actual screen fares when spending its days clanging around with a bunch of keys—doesn’t it end up scratched?
But then today I came across this Nextar digital photo keychain, and it’s as though they were listening to all of my concerns. The battery is rechargeable, so no worries there. And the frame has a little cover, to protect the screen while not in use. I can dig it.
And at $9.99 shipped, with both Mother’s and Father’s Day coming up…? Well, I think you know what I’m saying.
