There’s nothing like a cozy robe
I searched and searched for a cute new bathrobe with winter arrived, as I tend to wear mine to shreds (hooray for working from home and always being cold…) and was in need of a replacement. I finally snagged a Lightning Deal for around $20ish (which I thought was pretty good) and have been enjoying my laziness in it.
However, with deals like these, I may just go ahead and buy another robe and save it until this one falls apart. (Why, yes, I am wearing it right now.) Choose from either this short plush robe starting at $6.49 or this long plush robe starting at $7.66. Both options average 4.5 stars and you certainly can’t beat the price.
Maybe I need, like, a weekday work robe and a weekend goofing off robe. What?
Life Is Good (and so is this sale)
Sure, it’s a little hippie-dippie, but I confess to loving all things Life Is Good. Their stuff is just cute and happy.
Right now they have a big clearance sale going on, and if you’ve never signed up with them before, sign up for their email list (you’ll be prompted as soon as you hit the page) and they’ll mail you a unique coupon code for an additional 15% off and free shipping on your order.
If you’re me, you’ll go in there to “shop for the kids” and end up getting yourself a few things. But at these prices, who cares?
Heads up, Harry Potter fans
If you love all things Harry Potter—and I don’t know if we can still be friends, if you don’t—consider this your official jumping-up-and-down-with-excitement notice that you can now pre-order Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts I & II at Amazon for the newly-dropped reserved price of $17.99. It doesn’t come out until the end of July, but it’s best to be prepared, no?
Remember, Amazon has that pre-order Price Guarantee, too—if they drop the price again, you’ll get the lower price. There is literally no downside to this.
Now, let’s all sit back and wait for it to be July.
Did someone say free shipping?
Today (Tuesday, February 23rd) only, you can get free shipping on absolutely everything at Pottery Barn Kids and PB Teen with coupon code FREESHIP. Why? I have no idea. But I’m just going to go with it.
Might I pick up a couple of dorm goodies here, today? I might, rabbit.
[Edited to add: Okay, now that I’ve had a chance to browse, I can tell you that this is the perfect time to get new Christmas stockings and other holiday decor, cheap. Yowza!]
Well, it’s very shiny
Please bear in mind that I know next to nothing about guitars. Seriously.
That said, today’s Stupid Deal of the Day at Musician’s Friend is a Epiphone Les Paul Red Royale Electric Guitar in Red Pearl for $299; that’s about 35% off their regular sale price of $450. I know the name Les Paul, and I know that’s a very pretty instrument, and I know it’s a good sale. Whether or not it’s truly a great guitar, I’m not sure. (I found this review page, which seems promising both in terms of positive feedback on the instrument and this being a killer price.)
So if you’re in the market for a deal on a nice red guitar, enjoy. If not, that’s okay.
I love/hate it when that happens
One of the things I got for my husband for Christmas was a set of silicone barbecue gloves, and I was pleased with myself for nabbing a Lightning Deal and getting them for quite a bit less than the regular price. Well. I guess I should’ve waited, because right now Amazon has these Grill Armor Heat Resistant BBQ Silicone Gloves available for $16, which is typical, but—crazy!—entering coupon code 35OS7FHB at checkout drops the price to just $5.
That’s a little more than I paid.
But that’s fine… now we have a second pair coming, and I can keep these ones in the kitchen, because I am really good at burning myself on the oven, even with regular mitts on. For five bucks, and seeing as how they average 4.5 stars with over 300 reviews, it’s a no-brainer. Also, these are dishwasher safe, which tickles me.
Everybody dance!
Why, yes, I did listen to the silly little Woot-Off anthem a couple of times this morning. (“Woot-Off! Woot-Off! Clap!”) Why do you ask?
They’re Wooting Off all day at Woot, Home.Woot, Electronics.Woot, Computers.Woot, Tools.Woot, Sport.Woot, Accessories.Woot, Kids.Woot, and Wine.Woot (motto: only occasionally actual wine). That means rotating deals lasting from somewhere between seconds to half an hour apiece, and lower prices than you’ll see at any other time.
$5 ships all you buy today, too, which means that if you’re like me, you’ll snap up a deal at some point and then go buy all of the t-shirts you’ve had bookmarked for a month. I mean… everyone does that… right? No? Oh. Um. Well.
Stock up on baby wipes
Still dealing with baby wipes? (I cannot recommend children who can attend to their own bathroom needs highly enough, but I hear it’s very hard to give birth to them at that stage….) Right now Amazon has a 6-pack of Seventh Generation Free and Clear Baby Wipes—384 in all—available for $14.99, which isn’t awful (about $.04/wipe), but also isn’t terribly exciting.
But… buy via Subscribe & Save for another 15% off and free shipping (if you’re at 5+ S&S items for the month)… plus there’s a clippable 20% off coupon. Combine the two, and you’re looking at just $9.74, or under $.03/wipe.
If you use ’em, this is a decent way to replenish your stash until those pesky babies can figure out potty training.
Prom season is coming
It feels like we just had Winter Formals (uh, possibly because we just had Winter Formal…), but I promise that prom will be here before you know it. And I also promise that if you have a daughter who’s into these things, she’s going to want a new dress that probably costs more than you want to pay. So! Check this out:
Right now Amazon has a wide variety of David’s Bridal dresses at ridiculously low prices, but this strapless lace overlay number is just $9.99 (93% off) with free shipping in a variety of sizes and colors. That’s… nuts. Sure, they’re all listed as “bridesmaid dresses,” but who cares? Surely not your teen, who will wear it once and refuse to ever wear it again.
Don’t break the bank for prom. Check it out.
Laser printer? There’s a Deal of the Day for that!
Color laser printers are crazy expensive, and if you can afford one, feel free to adopt me. Color inkjet printers are very affordable, but the ink is expensive (and dries up if you don’t use it often enough). But for most of us, most of the time, a black-and-white laser printer is a perfect home solution—one toner cartridge lasts a loooong time, and most document printing is fine in just black and white.
If you agree, and you’re in the market for a printer, get on over to the Best Buy Deal of the Day page right now, because they’ve got a highly-rated Canon laser printer/scanner/copier about halfway down that’ll cost you just $89.99 delivered. (For comparison—and more reviews, if you like—here it is at Amazon for $150.)
This deal will only last one day, so hop on it if you’re interested.
