Make your ovaries hurt

Am I the only one who gets that ovary twinge over cute kids’ stuff? It can’t just be me. Especially seeing as how I don’t have any ovaries anymore, and so I must be twinging someone else’s when that happens. (Oh, dear. That sounds dirty.)

Moving on….

Got a cute kid? Maybe he or she needs some cute stuff from the Company Kids Clearance! Looks like they just did more markdowns, and there are several items in there that are making me swoon a little. Ship any order for free with coupon code T9WELCOME, too.

And my deepest apologies if it was your ovaries I was abusing. Really, sorry about that.

Get there without getting lost

Y’all know how much I love life with a GPS unit in my car. In fact, I love it so much, I feel moved to express myself in haiku:
Wondrous GPS—
You prevent me from swearing;
I arrive on time.

I know you want this sort of inspiration, yourself. (Really, who wouldn’t?) But maybe you don’t have $100+ to blow on a GPS. How about $59.99? Do you have that? If you do, check out the Magellan Maestro 3200* today at Buy.com. It’s got plenty of great reviews over at Amazon, but costs way less (and ships for free).

This is not a unit that does Text-To-Speech (meaning it doesn’t speak street names), so don’t buy it if you’re looking for that. But if you want a well-regarded, basic GPS unit, for an awesome price? I can’t see how you’d go wrong with this one.

*Mad haiku skillz not included.

It’s a box of books

Today’s deal of the day at Graveyard Mall is a box of 24 books for just $9.99. They have a list of the titles available for your perusal, but really, who doesn’t want The 10 Minute Guide to Beating Debt along with Twisted Tales: The Dripping Head? It’s like a little box of weird love.

Do the monster mash (and more)

How can you resist a Wii game called Monster Lab, especially when it’s rated E for Everyone and is down to just $19.99?

I’m pretty sure they made this game especially for my son and his friends. And it would be such a lovely treat to have them building monsters on the Wii, instead of swiping items from my kitchen and office to build a “monster” upstairs….

Rock ‘n’ roll, or just roll

Have a kid who’s jonesing for Heelys? Been feeling ambivalent about the typical $60+ price tag?

Here’s your chance to be the Cool Mom, and not break the bank: Today (February 18th, 2009) only, all Heelys are just $14.95 at 6pm.com! Get ’em the wheels they want, at the price of a regular pair of sneakers. (Hey, look at this—the “gamer” models are wheel-free, so Heely styling in an actual regular pair of sneakers.)

Awesome.

And it’s not even Thursday

Bored? Lonely? Feeling the urge to sit at your computer, refreshing the screen all day long? You’re in luck—they’re having a Woot-Off today!

When I grow up, I want to write product descriptions for Woot. That is all.

New grocery clearance

Oooooh, there’s a new crop of grocery clearance at Amazon; simply add eligible items to your cart and use code FBCLEVNT to take off an additional 40%. Many items are eligible for Subscribe & Save, too, which gets you free shipping and another 15% off.

I’m still looking for things I might need (I do love a good Amazon stock-up), but I have great news—if you’re in the market for dragon eyeball tea, it’s your lucky day.

(Seriously, I leave for a few appointments, and Amazon spends the day being weirder than ever. I promise to stay home tomorrow.)

Ooooh, shiny things

Amazon is having a 48-hour Kitchen and Dining Sale, except that it started yesterday and I forgot to tell you. Oops! Hopefully you’ll be distracted by all those nice shiny appliances and won’t mind too much.

There’s some good deals on some nice items, so you might want to browse through and see if you need something. And I don’t know about you, but my kitchen has been sorely lacking in the crystal monkey department for, like, forever.

(Dear Amazon: Just say no to drugs. Thank you. Love, Mir.)

You also get a year’s supply of turtle wax

Trying to get your finances in order? Don’t forget that Intuit is offering big deals on Quicken software, like free shipping and at least $20 off depending on which package you buy.

And now they’re also throwing in free bonus software, like Willmaker Plus. I made up the part about the turtle wax, though. Sorry.

(Want to get organized but don’t want to buy the software? Don’t forget that Quicken Online is still absolutely free to use….)
