Secret Agent Fido

I was just checking the drugstore.com Deals of the Day and now I can’t stop laughing—one of their specials is $22 off the Pet’s Eye View Camera, bringing the price of putting a camera around your pet’s neck down to just $27.99.

That’s a great bargain! Unless you, y’know, have an actual life.

(Still laughing!)

Yo ho ho

If I had Blu-ray, I’d be carefully choosing the movies I’m willing to spend my money on. They’d have to be great cinematic classics. They’d have to be films I’d want to watch over and over again. They’d have to involve Johnny Depp… preferably shirtless.

Ahem.

What was I talking about…? Oh, right! See, right now you can get the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy on Blu-ray at Amazon for just $48.99 shipped, which is over $20 cheaper than I can find it elsewhere. And that’s a whole lot of Depp action, and stuff. Yes.

Stop looking at me.

Stock up, ship it for free

Through February 20th, 2009, Office Depot is offering free next-day shipping in their service areas, regardless of your order size. That’s fabulous news if you just need one or two things.

Combine it with a coupon to maximize your savings: Code 75678616 will take 15% off (technology excluded) your entire order, or 96108355 will take $10 off your $50+ order. Need an office chair? Search on carlin to find a great deal on leather chairs—just $60 shipped.

Don’t forget that this is a great way to stock up on paper towels and the like, too. Just sayin’.

Decorate for less

Need some furniture? A rug? A new light fixture? My home is slowly becoming a living advertisement for Home Decorator’s Outlet, so great are the deals I’m finding there these days. Seriously, with prices like these, you can afford to decorate on any budget.

Right now, get $30 off your $150+ purchase by going through that link there. But I bet you’ll have trouble getting up to $150 unless you’re buying something huge.

(And if you feel like dying of cuteness, search for elephant hamper. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.)

Hey, guess what!

I know you’re going to find this totally shocking, but there’s a sale going on at Kohls today. I know! What are the odds??

If you have a Kohls charge card, go ahead and use code TAKE15FEB for an additional 15% off, plus code MVC8630 for free shipping. No Kohls card? You’ll still get automatic free shipping on your $75+ purchase.

I’ll leave you to insert your own Kohls-perpetual-sale joke, here.

It’s a holiday, all day

Oh, hey, it’s a day or reverence, or something, which of course means big sales, because that’s the American way. (“A moment of silence for our forefathers… and now, who wants 20% off??”)

Ahem.

Okay, so, if you’re needing electronics or appliances, you may want to check out the big savings for President’s Day over at Best Buy. It’s the kind of sale that makes my husband say, “Hey, that’s a really good price on a flat-screen TV. Really. It is. You’re not even listening to me. I’m going to buy a home theater. And an ANTELOPE.” (Needless to say, every day is a holiday at my house….)

The perfect gift-closet gift

I know that some of you probably grew tired of my constant touting of the Numi’s Bouquet Gift Set this holiday season when Amazon was running a bunch of specials on it. The thing is, I’m a huge tea fan, and I’m also a fan of a multi-purpose gift that looks a lot more expensive than it was. Heh. So I will always give a huge thumbs up to this set, because flowering teas are the sort of thing that most people do not purchase for themselves, but feel sort of decadent to have.

And you thought I was done talking about this set, but today it’s the Gold Box Deal at just $12.50! Ships for free with Prime or when you get up to $25 for free Super Saver Shipping. And then the next time you need a thank-you gift or an I-appreciate-you gift of an oh-my-gosh-you-need-a-pick-me-up gift, you’re ready.

Celebrate presidents and cheap eats

Happy President’s Day! Surely our founding fathers would approve of a nice meal out at a greatly discounted price, right? Right!

So go ahead and find your favorite restaurant over at Restaurant.com, and then use coupon code PREZ to take 70% off your purchase price. That’ll net you a $25 dining certificate for just $3, so you can enjoy a nice meal without selling a kidney.

You might need that kidney when it comes time to pay the kids’ college tuition, after all.

Saturday deals

Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope that today all of your chocolate-fueled dreams come true. And also that you have someone cute to smooch. (I have already smooched several people this morning. Awesome.)

Want to hit Target today, but don’t want to deal with the crowds? Shop ’em online! As an added bonus, going through this link will get you an additional $5 off your $50+ purchase.

As a special treat for Valentine’s Day, today Shoes.com is having a bit Saturday Sale (which will actually go through tomorrow), plus you can use coupon code HEART to take another 20% off your order!

Need something pretty from Coldwater Creek? You have the weekend to use coupon code WKH1460 to get 25% off and free shipping.

The Base Lodge Bonfire Sale is on at Altrec, with savings of up to 70% off, plus coupon code EPIC20 will give you an additional 20% off. It’s a great time to pick up your winter gear for next season.

This weekend only, get 10% off all furniture and $1 shipping at Overstock, through that there link.

This one is a great deal if you still need a DS: Over at Toys ‘R’ Us, get 25% off any Nintendo DS console with the purchase of two gamesicon. Some of the games are quite cheap (like, around $16), so this is a pretty good bundle deal.

Now if you’ll excuse me, there’s some chocolate calling my name….

This Friday brought to you by SUGAR

It’s Friday the 13th. That’s already scary, but the scariest thing? All of the Valentine’s Day parties happening at school today. I’ve decided to enter the Witness Protection Program before my kids get home—it just seems prudent.

But maybe I can scoop up a few Amazon Friday Sale deals before I go….

Just in case you need a briefcase that coordinates with your swiss army knife, there you go. Actually, this would be an awesome briefcase for the guy who thinks it’s okay to carry a backpack for the rest of his life.

I’m not a huge fan of the looks of these Teva hikers, but the espresso color is under $20, which would be hard to beat for shoes of that quality.

I… really don’t know what this thing is. It measures voltage! For… stuff! Also, it’s 69% off (even compared to the other buying choices), so if you know what it is, maybe you want it.

Do you know what’s fun to say? Mocha mugs! Try it! Mocha mugs, mocha mugs. (The fact that they’re cute and have great reviews makes it even more fun.)

I’ve always really wanted a beautiful cleaver like this one, but I wonder where one keeps one, you know, to avoid finding children chasing each other around with it. I mean, I don’t think it’ll fit in my knife block. (On the other hand, am I the only person who dreams of having a knife I could actually chop up a whole chicken with? Really? Okay, moving on….)

This convection oven isn’t the one I have, but I have to tell you that mine has changed my life. I love being able to remember rolls or a veggie for dinner at the last minute and toss ’em in and be done in five or ten minutes.

Need some herbal baby wipes (that don’t smell like cucumbers…)? These come down to $12.74 for 6 packs if you buy via Subscribe & Save, which will also give you free shipping. Great deal.

And don’t forget the music—check out the Friday Five for some great Valentine’s Day-appropriate tunes, plus you’ll find a free Mieka Pauley album, and various other free songs. And as an extra-special V-Day bonus, don’t forget to download Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” for free, for a limited time.

(Ooooh, Amazon. You vixen!)

Have a great Friday, everyone!
