Recharge your Wii Fit

If I had a Wii Fit, I’d definitely pick up this rechargeable battery pack for the balance board, because it’s just $13.99 shipped and means I would always have it ready to go, even though I can never find any batteries in this house.

Of course, this is all just a fantasy for me, as if I had finally managed to snag a Wii (purely hypothetical, you understand) I’d be saving it until Christmas, and despite stalking the Wii Fit for months—which I don’t need, because I don’t have a Wii, right?—I haven’t been able to find one.

But maybe you have one. So there you go.

It’s always a good day for shoes

Check it out: Right now Amazon is offering an additional 20% off already-marked-down shoes (additional discount shows up at checkout).

There’s lots of kids’ shoes available, too. In case going back to school is on your mind. Not that it’s on mine or anything. It’s not like I have Thursday circled on the calendar in red marker. Stop looking at me like that.

It’s like a sign

(An aside: Thanks for the kind words and well-wishes. My mother-in-law is still in the ICU but improving a little.)

So there comes a point when you’ve done all of the sitting around and worrying you can possibly stand, and then you realize that really, you need to get back to doing some work. And then you go poke around and you find that Amazon has the reconditioned KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer available for $137.69 with free shipping.

And you realize that that right there is a sign. It’s a sign that yes, trying to get back to work is a good idea, and possibly even a sign that everything is going to be okay.

But mostly it is a sign that I need to go make some cookies. Um, to comfort my husband. Yeah, that’s it….

An interruption

Folks, I generally keep my personal stuff off of this site, but we are in the midst of a family crisis and I hope you’ll forgive me if posting is light for a bit. Back soon.

A tent for 4 people (well, maybe 2)

I love the way tents get rated. If it’s a “4 person tent” that means it will be a good tent to sleep two people who like each other a lot, or possibly feasible for three midgets. The tent we use is rated for 6 people, which means my husband and I can change our clothes in there without throwing each other an elbow to the jaw. Mostly.

All of this is to say, if you’re in the market for a tent—and you understand that the ratings may be a little, well, overly generous—check out this Kelty Pagosa tent for $80.75 shipped at Amazon. While I wouldn’t recommend it for more than 2 people (or maybe two and a half… like if you’re camping with a baby in tow), Kelty is a high-end maker of outdoor gear. This is a great deal.

Just so long as there aren’t really four of you.

I think this is for people who exercise

I’m not really sure, though. I mean, I hear that there are people who don’t sit at their desks all day long, but I somewhat suspect they’re just the stuff of myths, like unicorns.

However. If you’re an active type, you’ll probably be interested to know that right now at ChampionUSA.com you’ll get free shipping on every order, plus if you buy two pairs of shorts, the third pair is free. And then you can go running, or something.

I guess.
