For the ladies

(Whether I’m referring to the female readership here or your actual, ah, ladies, shall remain a mystery!)

Hey, guess what Hanes is doing? They’re offering all of their All Over Comfort brasicon for just $9.99 apiece on their website, for a limited time. Coupon code KIDSUW is still valid for free shipping on all orders, too, so maybe it’s time to throw away that bra that requires three safety pins just to stay up.

(Oh, don’t get mad. We’ve all had that bra. I understand, I do; but it’s time to throw it away.)

At these prices, eat out more often

We hardly ever eat out, but when we do we’re always looking for a deal. I say this as a preamble to why I am constantly posting these Restaurant.com deals; it’s not that I’m encouraging you to eat out all the time, it’s that if you’re going to eat out, you may as well save some money. Or if you think you can’t afford to eat out, this way maybe you can.

Anyway! Yes! Restaurant.com is doing 70% off until the end of the month! Just search by zip code, find restaurants in your area, choose your certificates, and coupon code CRAVE will give you 70% off, netting you $25 of dining for just $3. That’s pocket change, people. I bet you have that much in your couch right now.

My favorite! A sale on a sale!

Today (Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008) at LizClaiborne.com they’re doing my absolute favorite kind of sale—they’re giving you an extra 25% off the stuff that’s already reduced.

(I feel like it should be an old joke: What’s better than a sale? A sale on sale! Also, interrupting cow!) (Okay, if you didn’t get that, I think you don’t have kids….)

Spend $125+ and you’ll automatically get free shipping. Want even more savings? Use coupon code LIZNEW0608 for another 10% off.

Get more Family Fun

Alert (and pretty) reader Gennie let me know that Best Deal Magazine’s deal of the day today is Family Fun for just $3.79 for the year. Use coupon code CPNCABIN15 to take another 15% off of that.

Works for renewals, too. (For whatever it’s worth: Family Fun and Working Mother are the only magazines I keep renewing my subscriptions to.)

One more — this one really sucks

It’s a vacuum, people. It really does suck! Honest!

Anyway, Amazon has this Hoover Windtunnel being sold as a bundle with a bonus rechargeable broom for just $64.97 shipped.

I don’t quite understand the rechargeable broom part; mine flies just fine on black magic, but whatever.

More domestic goodies

Dude, whose idea were Mondays? I mean, seriously. The more work I do today, the more work I have, seems like. And all because I dared to relax a little, this weekend. Sheesh.

Anyway, Amazon has brought back the Kitchen and Home One Day Sale, so maybe while I try to clear off my desk you can find some bargains over there.

Cook it up

Needing replacement cookware, or looking for a starter set? If you want to go with plain stainless steel (remember, my preference is for anodized aluminum, but everyone has their own preference), check out this 17-piece cookware set at Amazon. You could do a lot worse for $50.

Me, I’m digging the shape of ’em. Space-age cookware! Now with more roundedness!

Sign up, granolahead

I make my own granola. There, I said it. Call me a hippie if you like. But the thing is, sometimes we run out and I don’t have time to make more, because it turns out that making granola is not the highest thing on my list of priorities.

Anyway, this means that I still like to try ready-made stuff, periodically. Just so I know where to turn for a back-up. Zoe’s wants to give you some free granola if you’re willing to give them your opinion, and I’m pretty sure your opinion is worth at least a bowl of cereal, right?

For packing up your little Lego dude

Oh, I just love this. (I am such a dork.)

Okay, the Lego Outlet has had the Lego brick lunchbag listed there forever… and sure, it’s cute and all. Not a great bargain, really; just okay. But for some reason tonight I was browsing through and saw that they’ve added the Lego brick backpack, which is not only (in my opinion) much cooler—every “bump” is a little compartment, which makes so much more sense in a pack than in a lunchbag—but a much better bargain at just $9.99.

Bear in mind that this is not a full-size backpack, but it’d be perfect for a preschooler or kindergartener. Or just as a little “trip” bag for your little guy.

Heads up: Rock Band!

Starting today, KMart is selling Rock Band for Wii, PS3, and XBox in stores this week for just $99.99. (The original retail is $169.)

That’s a great deal if you’ve been dying to find it at a reduced price, but do keep in mind that Rock Band 2 is coming out mid-November, in time for the holidays. (It’s available for pre-order now, of course.)

Pros: The new one has twice as many tracks as the original, and both bass and lead guitars. Cons: You’re not going to find it for under a hundred bucks, and you have to wait until November.

Proceed accordingly.
