Keep yourself in Kashi
Good morning! I hope you had a restful and relaxing holiday weekend. I know that I did. Also, I may or may not have eaten my own weight in junk food. Hard to say (without incriminating myself, that is).
Now the holiday’s over and it’s back to real life… which is why I was delighted to see that if you spend $49 on eligible Kashi products at Amazon, you can use coupon code KASHI333 to take $20 off your total.
Buy 4 of the Honey Almond Flax cereal 4-pack bundles, for example, and it works out to just $1.87 per box.
Not that you need any “Go Lean.” You look fabulous. But it is a great deal.
Some holiday Saturday deals
Did you have a good holiday? I hope so. Here’s a few links to make your Saturday even better.
Buy.com has some special deals for the holiday, including this Nextar X4-T GPS for $119.99 shipped and the Magellan Maestro 4040 for $149.99 shipped.
Over in the Linens ‘N’ Thing Clearance Center they’ve marked stuff up to 75% off, plus you’ll get free shipping all weekend long. Plus you can use coupon code JULY408 through July 12th, 2008, to save another 20%!
They’re having special 4th of July clearance at 4th of July Sale-up to 75% off clearance at Domestications.com, too.
The Overstock weekender is $60 off of $600+ through that there link, which isn’t too useful if you’re buying a shirt, granted, but possibly helpful if you had your eye on an entire living room ensemble. Or a truckload of vitamins. Whatever.
No holiday is complete without a Super Sale over at Circuit City. (Because nothing says freedom like a high definition television.)
It’s time for me to go recover from yesterday’s frivolity. Have a wonderful weekend!
Happy 4th!
We’re off to celebrate in the most American way possible, today, which is to say that we have a watermelon and we’re not afraid to use it. And we’re also off to hang out with friends and eat things that are fried, just as our forefathers intended.
But! Before we go! You know I would never miss an Amazon Friday Sale!
Did you miss the EarthBoxes the last time they were marked down? Now’s your chance!
This isn’t just a fabulous little book light, it’s also half price and eligible for the 4-for-3 promotion. That’d be a pretty sweet stocking stuffer for the whole family, you know.
Mmmmm… cherry pie Larabars.
Have you been thinking of getting yourself a fancy ultrasonic toothbrush, but shying away from the cost? Here’s a fabulous deal: The Waterpik Sensonic Toothbrush is marked down to $56.54—already a fabulous price—but you can also use coupon code WTRPIK78 to save another $10. Try finding another highly-rated model for that price, I dare you.
Don’t forget to check out the Friday Five, too—five downloadable albums for just $5 each.
And then, for heaven’s sake—go outside and eat something fried. It’s your patriotic duty!
Wii will, Wii will Rock (Band) you
Been looking for Rock Band Special Edition for the Wii? Amazon has it in stock for $139.99 shipped.
No, I don’t have a Wii yet.
I’ve played this, though. Loved it. Who knew I had an inner drummer?
Manja, manja!
It’s Restaurant.com time again, and you’d better get over there right quick if the restaurants in your area do a monthly certificate quota and sell out before the first week of the month is over. Use coupon code LIBERTY to take 50% off your order, netting you $25 of dining for just $5.
Feel free to invite me out. I’m a very entertaining dinner date. (And humble, too.)
Save on sale items at Old Navy
There’s plenty of marked-down items over at Old Navy, and there’s two coupon codes you can use, as well. Take 20% off already-reduced items with code EXTRA20, and ship all $100+ orders for free with code SHIP4FREE.
$100 worth of flip-flops would be a lot of shoes, but maybe you need some other things, too.
Though I am oddly amused by the notion of $100 worth of flip-flops. Hee.
Three days of toy savings
I know, I know—you’re thinking fireworks and apple pie, not toys. But there’s a huge clearance going on at Toys R Us, plus you only have through July 5th, 2008, to use coupon code 922827 to take $10 off your $50+ purchase. It might be worth a look.
I’m not dead yet! I’m feeling better!
Sorry for the spotty presence ’round here the last day or so. We’re gearing up for a trip and despite my wishes to the contrary, the house does not clean itself and the same children who once boycotted pants are insisting on wearing clean clothes on a regular basis, even though I just did the laundry. Little ingrates. Between all of that and work, I’ve had precious little time to deal surf. I’m also holding off on another contest until after the holiday, so that more folks are around.
Anyway, here’s a few things to keep you busy:
If you have a bit of time and patience, there’s a ton of great clearance at Dillard’s right now. That’s the good news. The bad news is that their site doesn’t allow you to visit a “sale” section; you have to go into a regular section (say, Dresses) and then keep paging through until you start seeing “New lower price!” in red underneath items. The sale stuff is always at the end of the section, so once you find the page where it starts, you can just browse from there to the end. (I may or may not have gotten a dress, a couple of shirts, and a pair of shoes for about $35. Just sayin’.)
Also, pretty reader Angela was kind enough to alert me to the fact that Season 1 of 24 is currently available at Amazon for just $16.99. I watched 24 for a while when it premiered and decided it stressed me out too much, but if you’re not as much of a wimp as I am, that’s a pretty phenomenal deal.
Now, does anyone want to come over here and help me pack?
P-p-p-p-Pyrex!
If you haven’t jumped on the Pyrex storage train just yet, you might want to go have a quick browse-around the Pyrex storage and cookware at Amazon. There’s plenty of markdowns to be had, and both the various food storage sets and various cooking and serving pieces are available.
Switching over to Pyrex storage changed my life. Seriously! Well, it changed my fridge, anyway. I love being able to actually see my leftovers, and on the rare occasion when something is forgotten in the back of the fridge, I don’t need to throw the whole container away—disposal of the offending substance and a spin through the dishwasher is all it takes to make it like new again.
Plus, those of us who own dishes we got on clearance that are now discontinued can pick up platters and serving bowls that go with everything, since matching serving pieces for our dishes no longer exist. Just sayin’.
See WALL-E for free
Well, not exactly for free, I guess. But right now if you spend $75+ at DisneyShopping, you can get a certificate for 2 tickets to WALL-E. Just use coupon code WALLETKTS.
(Side note: They emailed me this promotion, and while I skimmed the mail I wondered what in the world wallet kits were. Heh.)
If you haven’t yet seen WALL-E, prepare to have your socks charmed off. I rarely spring for full-price movie tickets, but the entire family loved it.
