Honestly, I don’t game, and I don’t want to game, and I don’t know what Halo is, and I don’t care what Halo is, but I’m told that this here Halo 3 Legendary Edition thing is a big deal.
This is a pre-order; it doesn’t ship until the end of September. Is it a good price? I have no idea. But Amazon does do a price protection thing on pre-orders, where you get the difference if they lower the price between now and then.
I don’t normally recommend dropping this kind of money on something you won’t be getting for months, but I’m told these will be impossible to get, will sell out, will be going for way over mark-up on eBay… etc. I don’t know. Do you want one? Can you simply not live without one? Well then, here you go.

Look, we all know that Kohls is one of those stores always having some sale or other. The trick is finding what you want, when you want it, at the right price.

Low-carb, hopefully not low-taste
Been thinking about the Atkins diet or something similar? I haven’t. I happen to like carbs. Carbs are delicious! But I think I may have some extra carbs right here on my rear end. In fact, I think those carbs may be sneaking in at night and shrinking my jeans. It’s very puzzling.
No matter. Now I can try either the Atkins shakes or bars for free and decide whether I might be able to tolerate such things for long enough to expand my jeans back up to their normal size.
As close to guilt-free as candy gets
If you’re like me, you want to eat healthy and as organic and/or earth-friendly as possible, but there are a couple of problems.
First, the “good” stuff always seems to cost so much more.
Second, the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. More specifically, there are some foods my sweet tooth demands which are never going to be “healthy” no matter how I try to justify them.
So let’s not sugar-coat this: This is about candy. And it’s still candy, and it’s still not terribly good for you, but if you’re going to eat candy, why not eat the best-for-you kind you can find? Exactly.

Hello! How is everyone doing? I am feeling somewhat remiss; between the general busyness of my life and getting married and all of that, I feel like Want Not has fallen by the wayside a little. I’m still posting deals, but it’s been a while since I answered questions (because it’s been a while since anyone asked any) and I’ve been really lousy about general topics aside from “Oh! On sale! Shiny!” of late.
So, I thought I’d open up the floor here as I try to get back on track. What are you missing? What do you want to see that hasn’t been here, either because it’s something I used to do but stopped or is just something you’d like to see? What sorts of deals do you like best, what sorts of deals make you roll your eyes? What should we be talking about—in any area of shopping or money management—that we aren’t?
I’m interested in any feedback you care to share. The goal has always been to have a site that’s useful for my readers, and I want to make sure that’s what’s happening here. So talk to me, pretty people. Let’s get this place rocking again.
