Do you have moving on the brain? I do. Then again, I’m mostly wondering if I can just wrap the kids in bubble wrap and tuck them in a closet until it’s time to move in a few months. That seems like it would be safest for everyone. Ahem.
Anyway, here’s a little deal on some moving supplies you might like: Go to this here site and you’ll see a moving supplies kit for $24.95. (Kit includes bubble wrap, foam sheets, tape dispenser, blanket storage bag, labels, and possibly a marker.) Go ahead and add that kit to your cart.
Now, the promo info on that page says that if you use coupon code C21FREE, you’ll get the kit for free and pay only $7.95 for shipping. But when I did it, they only wanted $5 for shipping. Which is a pretty good deal, I think.
Hurry, the offer is only good for a few more days, and the sooner the kids are safely wrapped up, the happier we’ll all be.

Thanks to Karen for this one: Barilla has put together a cookbook of pasta recipes from celebrities. This frightened me a little, frankly, because what if Ashley Judd just eats two strands of spaghetti sprayed with butter-flavored Pam, or something? But it’s okay, because then they had Mario Batali and Giada De Laurentiis work on the recipes. (And even though Batali wears bright orange Crocs and De Laurentiis is the Food Network’s answer to porn, they’re real chefs, so the recipes should be palatable.)
Anyway, you can download the whole cookbook here, and for every download, Barilla will donate a dollar to America’s Second Harvest to help feed the needy. You even get to choose whether they donate to the national campaign or to your local area.
Even if you don’t want the cookbook, your download is a contribution to charity. So go download it. You can delete it afterwards if it’s lousy.

How about something that’s actually delicious and fresh and a good gift and never referred to as a “slider?”
Now, I know; I know that Harry and David is not cheap. But they do have online sales and specials, and their stuff—particularly their fruit—is to die for. This isn’t something you’re going to buy every day (unless you’ve got a lot of money, and in which case I am coming over to your house for one of those pears RIGHT NOW), but as a wonderful gift or for a special occasion, I think it’s well worth the money as a splurge. Plus, you can use coupon code H14 to take an additional 14% off of your order. Combine that with a special, and you’re looking at a lot of yummy for not too much money.

I’m just not even sure what to say about this generous offer.
(I don’t care if you believe Valentine’s Day to be a tool of the evil corporate marketing machine, this is still twenty different kinds of wrong.)

This one is so good, it makes me wish I still had a baby. (Do you think my 7-year-old will let me carry him in a sling? Wait, don’t answer that; he’d probably love it, and I’d end up with a herniated disc.)
Sometimes, very good things happen as a result of this website. Yesterday, one of those good things happened: Heather of MaMaMade Products contacted me to ask if I’d like to offer my readers a special discount on her company’s gorgeous baby carriers.
Did I want to offer my readers a special discount? Does a bear… ah… nevermind. I said “Yes, please!”
There are three different styles and numerous funky fabrics from which to choose. And right now, Want Not readers can enjoy 25% off their purchases through this link. Check it out if you have a baby, or are going to have a baby, or know someone who needs a baby gift. This offer is good through February 28th, 2007.
Thanks, Heather!

Have a local CVS you like to shop at? What could make that experience better for you? How about… being able to save some money and stay in your pajamas, while you shop there?
Right now you can take $10 off your $50 purchase and get free shipping with CVS. This is a great time to stock up on their store brand of diapers, if you like those. (And if you have a baby to wear them. Otherwise, that would just be weird.) There’s plenty of other stuff on sale, plus you get triple ExtraCare bucks when you buy online.
Best of all, you never get stuck in line behind someone who’s counting out their pocket change so they can buy a pack of gum, when you shop from home.

Entertainment books, that is.
Oh, I’ve talked about these before. Maybe it’s not your thing. But maybe it is, or maybe it’ll make that perfect gift for someone you know who loves to save money, and if so, you can buy one now for $10 off the regular price and start saving.
The price and size of the books varies by area (enter a zip code to see which book is right for you), but hey, $10 is $10. Take advantage of just an offer or two from the book and it’s paid for itself, too.

Did I forget to put my deodorant on yesterday? I mean, I know it was sort of a slim day for deals, and I know I was gone for part of the day, but c’mon. Where’s the love?
Hmph. Fine. See if I care. Today you can go spend the day refreshing the Woot Off if that’s how you’re gonna be.

I just love how retailers are claiming an end-of-season clearance just as it feels like said season is starting to get underway. I mean, in retail-ese, it’s time to make way for spring! Yet, here in the actual world, it sure feels like winter, still.
(I never claimed to understand how the big corporate retailing machine works. I just claimed to like pretty things, for less money.)
Anyway, I can’t stop browsing the Eddie Bauer Outlet winter clearance, because they have an awful lot of pretty stuff for a lot less money than usual. Maybe you’ve had your eye on something for a while, but couldn’t justify the cost. Maybe it’s on sale now. You won’t know unless you check. You know you want to.
(I really missed my vocation as a drug dealer, you know?)
