Clearance on my favorite face product

If you know me, you know I’m unlikely to spend $60 on a beauty product. (Scratch that; I have never spent that kind of money on a beauty product.) So when I received a bottle of Fei’d as a product sample years ago, I was pretty much afraid to even open it because was I going to spend $60 for another one? Nope.

I ended up not trying it for years past when I got it (long story), and just started using it a couple of months ago. And then I went to my husband one night and said, “I have a terrible confession to make. I started using this really expensive face lotion and I love it. I think I need to buy more.” He noted that my skin looked pretty amazing, but did blanch a little when I told him what it costs. I have a lot of acne scarring and rosacea and Fei’d has just… used those magical Eastern botanicals to create something that actually works to make my skin look healthier and more even (and it doesn’t make me break out, either). I have—no lie—been agonizing over buying more for weeks. Because I love it, but it’s so expensive.

And then, voila! The product creator mailed me this morning to let me know that they’re clearancing out 2014 stock to make room for new product, and right now you can use coupon code CLEARANCE to order Fei’d for 80% off. Each bottle is now just $12. I went and ordered before I even finished reading the email. (Bonus tip: I fooled around with the number of bottles a bit before finalizing my order; order 3+ and you’ll get free shipping.)

If you’re interested, you can read the whole Fei’d story (including about their charitable involvement) on the site. This is a great deal on a product I really love. If you have “problem” skin like I do, finding something that works feels like a celebration. Finding something that works and is available for 80% off is pretty much a miracle.

It’s a broad definition

Sure, you shop at 6pm.com mostly for shoes, and maybe sometimes for clothing… but every now and then, they have a blowout sale on other stuff. Like today! Click on the “up to 60% off holiday-ready kitchen essentials” square on their splash page and you’ll be taken to… well, a lot more than kitchen stuff. Serveware and the like, sure—tons of BIA Cordon Bleu dishes and ramekins and such—but also sheets, towels, and an assortment of other home goods at deeply discounted prices.

There’s a lot of beautiful stemware, too. Maybe your relatives are coming for the holidays. Maybe you want to drink a whole lot set a beautiful table for them. I don’t judge.

Don’t forget—free shipping on every order, too!

Skip Hop in the Lightning Deals

You are keeping an eye on the Amazon Lightning Deals lately, right? They’ve started ramping up the deals in their Countdown to Black Friday, and in just a few minutes they have a huge batch of Skip Hop goodies coming up. (I see it that way because I have Prime; it may launch later for non-Prime member.)

I just keep that page open all day, now. Good stuff coming up!

“The biggest” vs. Actually The Biggest

So you know how Kohls has a “giant sale” just about every week? And every time they’re all: No, really, this is the biggest sale ever? You know I love Kohls and shop there all the time, but their sale-exaggeration does get a little much, after a while.

Well. In contrast, when Macy’s says This Is Our Biggest Sale Of The Season, Today Only, that’s actually true. Today—Tuesday, November 18th—actually is the largest sale Macy’s will put on this year. Bigger than Black Friday! Bigger than the day after Christmas! For real.

If you have holiday shopping to do, today’s the day to do it.

Everyone gets free shipping on $75+, and clearance is an additional 25% off. It looks like coupon code TXT15 may give you an additional 15% off on your $100+ purchase, too, though it may exclude things like Doorbusters (haven’t tested it yet; if someone uses it successfully, let us know). There’s printable extra savings coupons on the site, too, if you’d rather brave the store, but I’ll just enjoy this sale from riiiiight here. (Hey, it’s currently 24 degrees outside. I’m not going anywhere.)

It’s Ironman time

If you’ve been wanting a Timex Ironman watch (they have lap counters, water resistance, and generally say to the world “I like to know what time it is and I am a sporty type!”), today on Amazon they seem to be at an all-time-low price. I mean, the base model isn’t all that expensive—$30, normally—but today they’re about half that for the men, and some of the more expensive women’s models are only around $14, too:

Men’s 30-lap Gray/Black
Men’s 30-lap Gray/Blue
Men’s 30-lap Oversize Black/Orange
Women’s Ironman Traditional Gray/Pink
Women’s Ironman Traditional Turquoise
Women’s Ironman Sport Blue (this one is only $12.37!)
Women’s Ironman Sleek 50-lap Plum/Gray
Women’s Ironman Tradutional Black/Purple

I feel like wearing one of these would be almost as good as actually exercising. Right? Right??

Wintry days need puzzles

Today’s bonus Gold Box deal at Amazon is up to 60% off Ravensburger puzzles (and a few games, but mostly puzzles). If you love puzzles, Ravensburger is the gold standard. One of these 1,000-piece babies will keep my children pleasant for days.

I’ve said too much….

Stack up the savings at Christopher & Banks

If you like the clothing at Christopher & Banks (they carry Misses, Petites, and Plus Size), now’s a great time to shop—they’re not only doing an additional 30% off on regular prices site-wide (or 35% if you have their card), there’s a ton of coupons you can stack together to save even more.

You can apply all of the following to your order if your total qualifies:
1101126 — free shipping on any order
54362 — 40% off 1 full-price item (instead of the automatic 30%)
56994 — $20 off $50
35064 — $10 off $50
34723 — $10 off $40

Basically you can be paying rock-bottom clearance prices here, if you do it right. Might be a good way to knock out a few gifts…?

More Minecraftery!

If you liked the LEGO Minecraft deal from the other day, you’ll probably be interested in this, as well: Right now Amazon has the Minecraft: The Complete Handbook Collection box set available for $19.18 (its lowest price ever). That’s under $5/book, and it’s sure to be a hit with avid Minecrafters.

The site lists these books as good for 8-12 years, by the way. I’d say better for the younger end of that range, but up to you.

Woohoo, new Minecraft Micro World on sale!

Hey, fellow Minecraft parents… remember the first Minecraft Micro World LEGO set, two years ago, and how it never went on sale? And how, last year, they released two more, and they never went on sale? Remember how some of us were suckers and paid full price because Minecraft and LEGO and happy nerdlings?

Good times.

But hey, Christmas just came early this year—the newest LEGO Minecraft Micro World offering, The End, is currently 30% off at Amazon! It’s just $24.49, and if your kid already has the three other Micro Worlds, well, doesn’t he need this one? Even though he’s a great big manchild teenager now? (Whoops. May have been thinking of my own situation, there. But whatever.)

Happy Minecrafting!

The best Ts, at a discount

In spite of the fact that I’ve finally made my peace with just not enjoying the Threadless women’s t-shirts fit—they are just not shaped the way I am, or perhaps vice versa—Threadless remains the best place to buy shirts my teenage son deems acceptable.

Sure, a couple of times a year they’ll have a $5 shirt blowout, but often by the time they get to that, most sizes are sold out. Sometimes I get lucky, but mostly I hang on for a $10 or $12 sale before the holidays. Well, today’s the day—choose from a variety of reduced-price Ts today (Wednesday, November 12th) only, plus get free shipping if you spend $75+ (use code FREESHIP75). I’ll splurge a little for gifts, and I know whatever I buy, he’ll love.

No shirts for me, but hey, a happy teen is worth a lot more to me than a t-shirt for myself.
