How about a nice spot of tea?

Tea makes everything better, right? (Insert hearty laughter here. I didn’t say it makes it all better, just… better. A little better. Just let me have my tea, okay??)

Ahem. Someone apparently hasn’t had her tea yet today.

Anyway! Today at Teavana you’ll get free shipping on any order, plus a free sample of their youthberry and wild orange tea, automatically. When buying loose teas, there’s automatic discounts of up to 20% off depending on how much you buy. And finally, if you spend $50+, you can also use coupon code SPRING to take $10 off your total. So combine all of that, and you’re looking at a great excuse to get a little tea decadence for yourself along with a gift or two.

They have tea (obviously), as well as goodies like rock sugar, mugs, pots, and more. Something for everyone! As long as you dig tea and associated items, I guess.

Yep, one more time (with feeling)

At some point I predict that Children’s Place will stop shrieking “free shipping TODAY ONLY!” Given that “today only” ends up being, oh, a couple of days a week, maybe they’ll just go to free shipping all the time. Listen, a girl can dream.

Anyway, yes, today they’re offering free shipping on every order, automatically. And everything is on sale in the whole store! Plus you can apply coupon code N5K2013FY for an additional 20% off. So basically if there’s anything the kiddo needs, now’s the time.

I mean, until the next time, anyway.

A little something for everyone

I have to say, lately the Target Daily Deals have left me cold. Nothing horrible, mind you, but nothing too exciting. And then today it’s like someone realized they just haven’t quite been hitting the mark, so why not bust out an entire page of (mostly unrelated) bargains? Good idea!

There’s a “wiggle car” (we called them plasma cars, when my kids were little) for $24. (For comparison: still $42 at Amazon.)

There’s a deluxe rechargeable toothbrush with twelve bonus heads for $39. (For comparison: still $50 at Amazon.)

There’s men’s clothing and juniors’ bathing suits. There’s no rhyme or reason to today’s offerings, and I don’t care. Great deals, free shipping, and a renewed hope that the daily deals may be worth checking every day, after all.

Funky shoes for the guys

Personally, any sort of shoe that has separations for your toes completely freaks me out. Barefoot, schmarefoot—if I’m wearing shoes, I want there to be a single box area to accommodate all of my toes together. That’s just how I am. But the various high-end shoemakers assuring us that it’s fabulous to have shoes that look like gloves for your feet have started this craze of weird shoes where your toes all get separated.

It’s a good thing I don’t write copy for these sale brochures, I guess. I’m doing quite the selling job, here.

Anyway! If for some reason you like these shoes, it turns out that today over at Woot they have the Fila men’s skeletoes available for just $19.99. Choose from three options, all of which seem to believe men have 4 toes on each foot. Er, I mean, maybe these would bother me less because they don’t separate all the toes? Maybe?

I have no idea. All I know is that these shoes usually go for around $75, so if you’re dying to try ’em, at least this is a great price.

Time for a swim suit?

Several of you emailed me (thank you!) to point out that right now, Lands’ End is offering a whopping 40% off regular-price items. (This is not as good as 40% off sale prices, but if you’re eyeing a full-price item, it’s pretty sweet.) (Also, as my father would say, it’s better than a sharp stick in the eye.) Just use coupon code BRIGHT with PIN 4520. You’ll also get free shipping on $50+.

Anyway, if you can’t wait for something you want to go on sale—like if you want a swim suit now, to skip the agony of there only being mismatched pieces left by the time summer arrives and you realize you need one—this could be the time to get buying.

Kick off your Monday with bonuses

Is Monday the right day to shop at Kohls? After years of those Wednesday sales? In a word: yes. They’ve been running Bonus Buys over the weekends and extending it out into the week, and heck, I don’t know, pretty soon all the sales will meld together and there will never be a time when they’re not having a Great Big Really Different No We Mean It This Time For Real Sale.

Anyway, if you want to check out the sale, there’s lots of bonus ways to save. Everyone gets free shipping on $75+, automatically, and everyone earns $10 Kohls Cash for every $50 spent. If you have a Kohls charge card, use coupon code KC2UFREE for free shipping on any order, plus code FLOWERS30 for an extra 30% off. And of course everything in the store is on sale, because it’s time for Bonus Buys and all kinds of other things.

If Kohls perpetual sales are wrong, though, I don’t want to be right.

Om nom Scharffen Berger nom

Is Scharffen Berger the first and last word in chocolate? Not exactly; for one thing, it’s two words. For another, I don’t know about you, but I’m not usually willing to pay upwards of $4 for 3 ounces of chocolate (even really good chocolate). But this is really good chocolate and you’d better believe I stock up when it’s on sale. I buy it “for baking.” (That means I buy it for baking and then I eat it. So sue me.)

Right now the following 6-packs of Scharffen Berger are just $7.17 each, which is crazy cheap for these goodies:
Dark Chocolate Nibby
Mocha
Milk Chocolate Nibby
Extra Rich Milk Chocolate

And if you’re willing to pay a little more (but still save a bundle)… the 62% Cacao Dark Chocolate 6-pack is $9.56 and the Sea Salt and Almond Milk Chocolate 6-pack is $9.03.

Now that’s a delicious way to kick off Friday.

It’s the vicious cycle of carpet

I first bought a Hoover SteamVac because I have a dog, and sometimes the dog… does things… to the carpet. Ahem. But then when I actually use said SteamVac, it’s loud, and that scares her, which can lead to other atrocities against said carpet.

It’s a vicious cycle. And yet, here I am. (Note to self: Win lottery, finish putting hardwoods in the rest of the house.)

Anyway! I bought my SteamVac on an Amazon Lightning Deal in December for $76, which was a steal. I haven’t seen a price even close, since then. The one I bought is currently $140 at Amazon with an available 20% off coupon, making it $112, which isn’t bad. Alternatively, today at Best Buy it’s just $100 shipped.

Not the absolute-cheapest-ever, but a decent price on a highly-rated machine.

If you love Jelly Belly…

… then you likely already know that you can buy 2 lb bag of “Belly Flops” (misshaped jelly beans!) for just $8—a significant discount over the regular price.

But did you know that you can buy 2 lb bags of Belly Flops at Amazon for just $6.74 apiece with either free Prime shipping or free Super Save Shipping on $25+? Right now the page is defaulting to Jelly Belly as the vendor, but if you go into “more buying choices” you’ll see it available at the same price direct from Amazon without a shipping fee.

I will not be buying these, because I cannot be trusted around jelly beans, personally. But maybe you’re stronger than I am. And it’s a heck of a deal.

Come back to Lands’ End

After a dearth of coupon codes—what’s the matter, guys, were you feeling down??—Lands’ End finally busted out a decent code for us. Right now you can use coupon code HAPPY with PIN 1610 for 25% off nearly everything. You’ll also get free shipping on your $50+ order.

Of course, my husband’s Discover Card Cashback was recently (this is a true story; hand to God) swiped and redeemed for a Lands’ End gift certificate, so I guess I just hope the thief also remembered to use a coupon.
