‘Tis the season to suck it in
I’m not saying we shouldn’t love our bodies exactly as they are—because we absolutely should—I’m just saying that I personally feel a little better about various holiday indulgences when I have The Power Of Spanx™ at my disposal. Know what I mean?
There’s a couple of sale options available to you if you want to shop Spanx today: You can either use coupon code EMP20 for 20% off your order, or you can use coupon code 897NEW for 10% off and free shipping. Spanx’s shipping charges are very reasonable, so you’ll just have to play around to see which code is the better deal. (For example, I tried it on a pair of $28 shaping tights, and they only wanted $2.95 for shipping, so both coupons gave me a total within pennies of each other.)
Bear in mind that the Spanx site also carries the Assets line of products, which is sort of like Spanx’s less expensive little sister. This is a perfect time to make sure you still look awesome at every holiday party, regardless of how many cookies you test during your holiday baking.
Ultimate Nerfery
I can’t tell you anything about this from a personal standpoint, as I am one of those horrible hippie mothers who never let her kids have pretend guns (though my son now attends a school program where they regularly build swords and machetes, so, I don’t claim to be logical), but I do remember that last year this Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS was one of the hot items for Christmas. And right now it’s down to just $20 at Amazon, which is it’s lowest price ever. Plus, as we all know, once the toy clearance starts in earnest in a couple of weeks, Nerf darts are one of the things we’re likely to see going for cheap.
It’s got 4.5 stars with nearly 200 reviews, so there’s that. But perhaps most importantly: it gives you an opportunity to practice hollering, “You’ll shoot your eye out, kid!”
Lands’ End feels bad for me
Clearly Lands’ End noticed that I managed to miss every single daily deal they posted that I really wanted. (“Really wanted” apparently did not equate getting up and shopping them at 6:00 a.m. on any day other than Black Friday.) To make it up to me, they’re having a “Bonus Day” today.
Through midnight Central time, use coupon code TWINKLE with PIN 3032 for 30% off and free shipping on everything. It works even on sale items, and I didn’t even have to get up at the crack of dawn.
I… don’t understand
To be filed under: No, Really?
Today at Tanga you can apparently buy your very own set of 24kt gold-plated playing cards. Because… uhhhhh… yeah, I got nothin’. They’re listed as the “perfect gift for the person who has everything.” Well, now, if they had everything, wouldn’t they already have these…?
I’m not positive, but this may be what’s wrong with America.
Switching it up a bit
So apparently no sooner had I posted that last deal than it went out of stock. Let’s see if I can do something similar, here.
If you can’t get your kid a fun sprinkler water table, why not get him an electric razor, instead? Wait. No. That’s probably… yeah, I need some more coffee. Hang on.
Okay; forget the water table. Need a good mid-level electric razor? (You know, not for your toddler?) Amazon has this Braun 3Series 320S-4 Shaver available for $59 $51.84—just a few bucks off their lowest-ever price. But if you’re eligible for coupons, clip the $15 coupon mid-page and get it for just $44 $36.84 shipped!
Good reviews, and a solid choice if you’re not quite ready to fork over the dough required for one of those really fancy-schmancy self-cleaning, world-peace-creating models.
Buy now for summertime fun
Do your kids love waterplay in the summer? Right now Meijer has this Step2 Wacky Water Sprinkler Table available for just $7.99 with free shipping. (The supposed original price, much like the table itself, has been inflated. But this is currently $18 at Amazon, so it’s still a great buy.)
Now all you have to do is remember where you put it until the sun comes out again.
Monster High meets Frankenstein’s lab
I have to confess to being an old fogey and not quite getting the Monster High thing. This is basically… Barbies for the tween goth set? I’m not sure. Nevertheless, they seem to be a hot item every year.
If you want to assemble your own Monster High creations—or your kiddo dreams of being the next Dr. Frankenstein—you can actually buy a kit instead of just the doll. Who knew, right? Right now the Monster High Create-A-Monster Witch-Cat Girl Starter Set, Create-A-Monster Werewolf and Dragon Starter Set, and Create-A-Monster Vampire and Sea Monster Starter Set are all marked down to just $11, their lowest Amazon price ever. Do note that this gives you almost enough pieces for two dolls, but not quite—it’s more of a mix-n-match one doll kind of thing, I think (poor reviews are people complaining there’s not enough pieces for two dolls).
If you want a little bling with your Frankenstein (ha), there’s also this Create-A-Monster Design Lab Mystical Add-On Pack for $6.50 (also its lowest Amazon price ever).
Creepy? Sure, but so is watching your kid dress her doll in a bikini and hooker boots. I feel like the Monster High creator might be someone kind of fun to hang around with.
There’s still time for Cyber Monday at Boden
I meant to bring you some more deals late this afternoon/early this evening, but then my darling child and his friend took our dog down to the pond to play for a while, and apparently the dog drank half the pond. No one bothered to tell me this until the dog decided that pond water wasn’t so delicious after all, but… it kind of put a crimp in my work schedule. (On the up side: Turns out the Hoover SteamVac I got in the Lightning Deals works great. Silver lining!)
Anyway, here’s one I can’t believe I almost missed: Everything is 30% until midnight at Boden! And if that doesn’t make you happy, well, I don’t know what to tell you. At least you don’t have a dog who’s yakking up pond water, right?
Holy cow, Cyber Monday on Soft Clothing
If you have a sensory-sensitive kid—or if you just love stylish clothing for the kids that’s uber-comfortable—you likely already adore Soft Clothing. But today you can take 60% off site-wide with coupon code cybermonday, which is just crazy, because most of their stuff is already on sale.
I pink puffy heart Soft. All they need to do to be perfect is start making adult sizes, too.
More Cyber Monday beauty goodness, at Ulta
I can’t believe I almost forgot the Cyber Monday deals over at Ulta. Spend $35 there today and you can pick one of three bonus beauty bags (supposedly worth $70).
Free shipping on $25+ with coupon code HOLIDAY2012, or pay the flat rate $5.95 shipping and use code 85224 for $10 off $50+ or code 85118 for $20 off $100+ (some exclusions apply, see the site for details). Just about everything’s on sale, plus you’ll be picking up that sweet bag of goodies for free, so hey, knock out some stuff you need, some stocking stuffers, and a little bit of bonus for you.
