Do less labor for Lands’ End
Happy nearly-Labor-Day! Celebrate over at Lands’ End with savings through September 4th; just use coupon code APPLE with PIN 2930 to save 25% on nearly everything, plus you’ll get free shipping on any size order.
If that’s not a great way to celebrate a holiday, I’m sure you could eat a few cookies while you place your order just to round out the experience.
Only a little jealous
Today’s main deal on Woot is an Apple 11.6″ Dual-Core i5 MacBook Air for $780.
I own an Air and love it; I tried for years to like the crummy off-brand netbook I bought on a deal and just couldn’t ever do it, and then once I got my Air I realized I could throw it in my purse just as easily and work wherever. My Air isn’t as nice as this one and I paid more for it. Hmph.
So, yeah, this is hardly the thing I’d recommend grabbing on as an impulse buy, obviously, but if you’re in the market for an Air, this is a pretty awesome deal.
Rock-bottom prices at Talbots
It’s not often that the prices at Talbots come down into the range of mere-mortal reach, but for Labor Day, even us regular folks can shop there. Heh. Check out the sale section—you’ll find markdowns all the way up to 80% off, and then on top of that you can apply coupon code 029353545 for another 25% off and free shipping.
Doing a little happy dance, over here.
Swisstool quality, knock-off price
If you’ve been looking for a sweet deal on one of those multi-tools that has everything but a chainsaw attached to it, look no further than Amazon’s current deal on the Victorinox Swiss Army Swisstool Spirit X—it’s currently down to just $55.20, and there’s a promotion going on where another $10 will be subtracted in your cart.
Reviews are excellent, and really, having a chainsaw attached would just be cumbersome, anyway.
I kind of want one for my office
Remember all the times you bought your child some huge and fantastic toy, just knowing she was going to love it, and then all she wanted to do was play inside the box?
Get the best of all possible worlds today at Kids.Woot—choose from three different cardboard “play environments,” ready to be colored by your kiddo and turned into the consummate playhouse.
The castle includes scepters and crowns, the safari cruiser includes a lion and a cub, and the undersea explorer (my favorite) comes with a shark and a squid. Hee. Each one will run you just $12.99, and don’t forget that nowadays at Woot you pay just $5 for a day’s worth of shipping from all of their different shops.
I think the sub would look great right next to my desk. And when I don’t feel like taking a phone call, I could just go hide under the sea. What?
Insert your own Labor Day joke here
I would never stoop to the kind of juvenile humor that would somehow connect an innocuous holiday and the proper hoisting of your lady parts. Nope, not me. Not gonna happen!
I’ll just tell you that right now at Maidenform, they’ve got everything an extra 20% off and all orders ship for free, through the weekend. There’s very little work involved in grabbing these deals, and any comment I might be tempted to make about necessary force to counteract gravity is going to stay right here in my head, because I’m a lady. Sort of.
Erm. Enjoy the sale.
The Gold Box just got snacky
Today’s Amazon Gold Box holds deals on Popchips and Vita Coco, which I think is kind of a bizarre combination, but that’s okay because I love Popchips so much.
Er, I mean, my kids love Popchips so much. Obviously. Guilt-free snacking, available today at a guilt-free price.
Flash sale on funky beach items
I would like to borrow all of your small girls, and I mean that in a totally non-creepy way (although rereading that, it does sound kind of creepy; sorry about that), because I would like to dress them all in everything adorable from Little Miss Matched. I just love their zany style so much.
There’s going to be a different flash sale every day this week, but today it’s up to 60% off on “beach” items, which includes swimsuits, flip-flops, tote bags, and even stainless steel water bottles. And you can make this week’s sales even better—get free shipping with coupon code F1PWAA. Perfect.
Groovy sandwich bags
For some reason I didn’t post this one when I got it, but I recently grabbed a Mamasource Deal to redeem at Re-Pac Bags. (It’s still available for one more day; scroll down on the Mamasource page.)
$11 gets you $22 to spend, and I redeemed it for some tie-dye print reusable sandwich bags. They arrived today and they are so cute. Even better, they close with zippers, which means no velcro-mangling in the washing machine. Mind you, Re-Pac sells all different sizes and they’re suitable for whatever you’d like to use ’em for, but I got the sandwich ones because I’m boring. And because my family insists on me packing sandwiches for them.
I have a slew of reusable bags I love, but quite a few of them are starting to fall apart after years of daily use. I’m hopeful the Re-Pac ones will last for a while.
If you’re a fellow guacamole freak…
… and you have a local Trader Joe’s, check out their Reduced Guilt Chunky Guacamole the next time you’re there.
Why am I telling you this? It is certainly not because I just finished off the tub I bought two days ago. Nope. Nuh-uh. It’s, uh, because I love you. And I love avocados. And if I had polished off that tub in such short order, it would be because it was pretty delicious and not as bad for you as regular guac. Just sayin’.
