Say woof if you like peanut butter

I don’t feed my dog wheat (yes, I can no longer eat wheat and we just happened to adopt a dog who has… a wheat allergy), but these Blue Dog Bakery Natural Peanut Butter Softies (or, for little dogs, Peanut Butter Doggie Paws) treats at Amazon have great reviews and are currently just $7.21 shipped for 6 boxes. If your dog can have wheat, it’s a great deal on some gourmet treats.

If your doggie can’t have wheat, well, she’s just going to continue begging for a bite of whatever you’re having. I speak from experience.

Have a hamster (or two)

Remember back around Christmas, when Zhu Zhu Pets were all the rage, and your kid absolutely had to have one or he/she would just, I don’t know, explode? Assuming that the toys continue to entertain, you might want to be a hero all over again: Right now Amazon has Kung Zhu and Zhu Zhu Pets 2: The Wild Bunch both for the Nintendo DS, both as limited edition bundles with bonus hamsters, both for just $10 each.

Those would be pretty sweet in Easter baskets, I’m thinking.

Get a grip(z) on snacks

You know I’m not much a fan of conventional processed snacks, but every now and then I give in. Into every life a little HFCS must fall, I always say! (Actually, that was the first time I ever said that. But it rolls right off the tongue.)

The last time this deal came around, I went ahead and clicked, and my kids (sadly) absolutely love having pouches of miniature snacks: Amazon has this 3-pack of Gripz Variety Packs available for just $9.89 delivered when you buy via Subscribe & Save. That’s 42 pouches of snacks for under a quarter a pouch!

Plus, you know, the snack food is tiny. Which makes it taste better. If only they could figure out how to put the tiny little chips/cookies on tiny little sticks, then it would be the most delicious food ever, right?

Saturday deals

Goooood morning! It’s a beautiful day for baseball. Or for going to the field and watching your kid pick grass. (I am not terribly strict about my definition of “baseball.”)

Here’s a few deals to start your day off, just in case baseball isn’t going to do it for you:

Got shoes? (Shooooooooes!) Here’s three kicky options (get it? get it??):

1) Today (Saturday, April 9th, 2011) only at Shoebuy, take 20% off of nearly everything with coupon code SPRING20. Free shipping, too. (Thanks for the tip, DiAnna!)

2) Today’s featured brand at 6pm.com is Calvin Klein, and there are other deals as well, but first let me tell you that I showed my husband the CK shoes on the front page and said, “Do I like these?” and his response was, “If you are a hoping to look like a mummy. A hooker mummy.” So I guess that’s a no…? (Side note: It’s a good thing my husband is cute.)

3) Right now at Endless, spend $90+ on new styles of sandals and you’ll automatically save 25% on your entire order. Shipping is free there, too.

Okay, enough shoes. (No, I can’t believe I just said that, either.) Have you procrastinated on outfitting the kids? This weekend is Friends & Family time at Children’s Place. Just use coupon code FRIEND11 for 25% off your entire purchase.

Old Navy is apparently running some great in-store specials this weekend, but you know how I feel about visiting the actual store. If you’d rather shop online, take 30% off your entire order with coupon code ONGET30. Free shipping on your $50+ order, too.

I’m off to the fields. Have a wonderful morning, and stay away from the hooker mummy shoes. You’re welcome!

Frankly, Friday, I don’t give a… um… fig

(This is a family blog, after all.)

Happy Friday! Today I am giving away a phlegm-filled tween. Actually, I lied. Despite the phlegm, I am rather fond of him. Still! What a way to start the day! Maybe I can find you some deals, instead, and I’ll keep His Royal Pitifulness.

Just in case you missed the last Lands’ End deal, don’t despair! Through the weekend it’s Friends and Family time, which means coupon code FAMILYSHARE with PIN 6319 saves you 30% and gives you free shipping on any order. (And if you’re like me, that means you placed an order earlier this week but will be going back “just in case you missed something,” now.)

Amazon decided to come through with a sweet Gold Box Deal today—it’s an all-in-one Epson printer for just $60. Great reviews on it, too.

How’s today’s Amazon Friday Sale, though? Well, if you’re into chocolate, today’s your lucky day! It’s all selling out fast, though, so don’t be slow. There’s everything from mini-Snickers to truffles, and lots of options inbetween.

This weekend, everything already on sale at Vera Bradley is an additional 20% off, automatically (discount shows up in your cart). Shipping is free on your $100+ order, too.

Perhaps not surprisingly, all of the options around $30 at ShoeMall are selling out quickly, today, now that everyone got their deal certificates on yesterday’s Mamapedia Deal. So shop quickly or wait a bit, I guess. (Also, if you missed the deal yesterday? You can still get it today—check the sidebar at Mamapedia to get in on it.) Of course, if you need an athletic shoe fix, today’s the day to hit 6pm.com; it’s Fitness Friday there.

That should get you started, at least. I have to go deliver some Kleenex.

ShoeMall

Shop at ShoeMall!

Use coupon code 15JUST4U for 15% off your entire order (some brand restrictions apply).

When in doubt… well, you know the rest

Hey, did you happen to notice that today’s Sweet Deal over at Mamapedia is $15 for $30 worth of bliss over at ShoeMall.com!

And pretty reader Aimee pointed out that if you use coupon code 5OFFSHOES to snag your Sweet Deal, they’ll only charge you $10. So that’s $10 for $30 worth of shoes.

Shipping at ShoeMall is free, so no worries about being stuck with shipping fees. And while you can only use one certificate per order, Mamapedia is letting you buy multiples. Just in case you’ve got a big family, or are in need of some intensive retail therapy.

Sit, stand, stroll, save

Been looking for one of those sit-n-stand strollers? Let me help you out: Right now Target is offering the baby Trend Sit-N-Stand Deluxe in “Columbia” (gray and green, looks like) for just $110 shipped. (For comparison: Still $130 at Amazon for the same one, plus a hefty shipping charge. Alternatively, you could choose a different color and get it for $125 and free shipping, there.)

If you opt for the Target one, use coupon code CPNCBN50 to save another $5. Every little bit helps, right? Of course, if you’re looking for a way to extend your Amazon Mom Prime subscription, it might be worth the extra money to you to get it from Amazon.

Either way, this is (basically) the stroller I used when my kids were little, and I was always very happy with how versatile it was. Yes, it’s a beast of a thing, but the basket is huge and it accommodates two squirmy children very easily. Trust me.

Oddly fascinating

On the one hand, if you’ve been thinking about getting some Nordic PowerTrek walking poles, today’s the day to hightail it over to Graveyard Mall, because they have a variety of sizes available for just $10 with free shipping.

On the other hand, Nordic walking poles? That’s… that’s the people who go walking with ski poles, right?

And on the third hard—just borrow one from a friend, let’s not get hung up on technicalities, here—I found myself completely mesmerized by the information video you can watch at the bottom of any of those product pages. Because the weight is transferred! And it burns more calories! And all of those people just look so happy!

I think I need to get out more.
