Start the day with geekery

How much do I love the t-shirts at ThinkGeek? I could recount the many, geeky ways I love them, but geekery just ran into frugality and had a miraculous love child, so I’ll stick with sharing that.

On their t-shirt page, take a look at the “Customer Favorites” column all the way on the right, there. The top item is the “Amazing T-shirt Grab Bag.” For one low price, you get one awesome mystery ThinkGeek shirt.

I think I have something in my eye. Stop looking at me.

Why yes, I would like another coupon

I know that Justice seems to do a 40% off coupon pretty regularly, but it just figures that last week I wanted one and couldn’t seem to find a current one. No matter! Now we can use code 774 for all purchases of hip girly clothes through March 22nd, 2010, bringing their prices down from the “Are you kidding me?” area firmly into the “Maybe for your birthday if you behave” range.

I should probably have my daughter write them a personal thank-you letter, now that I think of it. If she stops carrying on about how everyone else’s mom lets them shop there I’ll have to mention that.

Keep moving

I’ve often thought it would be fun to wear a pedometer to find out how many steps I take in a day… particularly on the weekends, when we never seem to stop moving. But then I remember that pedometers cost money, or I see something shiny and forget I was even thinking about it.

But now I’m going to get a free pedometer, thanks to Just Keep Moving, a site sponsored by Tylenol to encourage folks to stay active. Apparently I’m getting a DVD, too. But mostly I’m looking forward to the pedometer.

You can get one, too! Then we can compare. I promise to wear mine while sitting at my desk all day so that you can feel superior, if you want. I’m a giver.

Two hours to dress up

Need a cute new dress for Spring? Hop on over to the The Limited, where for the next two hours only (noon to 2:00 p.m. Eastern) you can use coupon code 260 to take 40% off of any regularly-priced dress.

This is one of those you snooze, you lose kinds of things. But if you’re online on your lunch break, well, victory (and a bargain) may be yours.

Got earbuds?

If you need some new earbuds but are ready to step up from the middlin’ ones that come standard with your iPod, check out the current headphone deals at Amazon. There are some pretty nice noise-isolating options marked way down, plus there’s a pair of cute Skullcandy buds for just $5. (Reviews aren’t stellar on those, but for $5 and your kid’s gratitude, do you care?)

Me, I’m still trying to find the right headphones for my weird earbud-rejecting ears. Maybe I need to get a set with those hangers to keep ’em on.

I love the lightning

Hey, it looks like Amazon is running Lightning Deals every hour, this morning, so there’s plenty of chances to save big.

They just revealed the 6:00/9:00 a.m. deal (pick your time zone…), which was listed as being a “clothing deal,” but is actually a set of BAGGU reusable bags. Okay, they lose points for labeling, but the bags are cute and $13.50 for three eco-friendly, self-storing bags isn’t a bad price.

Make a girl happy

It only happens twice a year, and now is one of those times: Through March 28th, 2010, American Girl is offering free shipping on any order with coupon code A302271.

The coupon may only be used once per customer, so shop carefully.

Also, get ready for effusive “thank you”s. I don’t know what it is about this stuff that makes little girls go wild, but I suspect it’s the tiny, doll-sized dime bags of cocaine they sew into the seams. Oops! I’ve said too much!

Store me, save me

These two are repeats, but they always seem popular and someone always says “Gone before I got one!” when I post ’em. So here they are; get in on the deal quickly if you’ve missed out in the past!

First, we have the ever-popular Rubbermaid Easy-Find Lid Storage Set available from Amazon for just $11 (look in the “More Buying Choices” column on the lower right to buy from Amazon directly and get the discounted price).

Next, we have the Rubbermaid Produce Saver Set (which I picked up last time and love) available from Amazon for $13. Both sets ship for free with Prime or with your $25+ Super Saver Shipping order.

Go forth and store.

Get ready for the beach

We’ve had a couple of days of gorgeous weather, and I’m dreaming of summer. Apparently the folks at 6pm.com are, too, because today’s specials are all about stuff you’ll be ready to rock out with this summer. They’ve got Reefs, Ocean Minded, and I don’t know how I missed O’Neill for all of this time, because in addition to shoes they have some adorable (and cheap) clothing.

I’m ready for flip flops and fruity drinks by the pool, man.

Save at the Creek

We haven’t had a Coldwater Creek deal in a while, have we? Check this out: Shop now through March 11th, 2010, and use coupon code FB2550 to take $25 off your $50+ purchase.

(This is the sort of thing that will absolutely kill my morning; I’ll spend way too much time figuring out how to get my order as close to $50 as possible. It’s a sickness, I’m aware.)
