Print it, Danno

The Amazon Gold Box has a nice deal on a Canon Pixma printer today—just $110 shipped, about half off—if you’re looking for a full-size photo printer.

(Insert your own witty commentary here, please. I’m off to take an ear infection and the child it’s attacked to the doctor.)

Oh free shipping, I’ve missed you

Lately Kohls has been clamping down on those free shipping codes, and I’ll admit—I’m spoiled. That made it hard for me to keep shopping there, after all those years of never paying for shipping.

I don’t know if they’d planned to offer a new code all along, or if people just complained a lot, but free shipping for card members is back, baby! Use coupon code FREE4MVC for free shipping with your Kohls card. And also use coupon code KCNOV15 for an additional 15% off, through November 18th, 2009, with your card.

Don’t have a Kohls card? You’re missing out. I keep one for the coupon codes and free shipping. But you can still get free shipping on your $75+ order.

I would like my morning back

Today is one of those days that went zoomzoom and then disappeared. I hate it when that happens. And I haven’t even bought anything awesome.

Nevertheless—lack of deals and a disappearing morning aside—I do have early holiday shopping on the brain. And so I’m pretty excited that Scholastic is offering 15% off and free shipping on orders of $25+, with coupon code AFFHLD. (This coupon will work through December 15th, unlike the one currently being displaying on the Scholastic site.)

I can’t say no to books. Most teachers are happy to get them as classroom gifts, too, you know. Just a friendly suggestion.

Eight billionth verse, same as the first

It’s been forever since we had a coupon for Restaurant.com, I know. Like… a week! Or maybe a few days! And you’ve been barely hanging on, morosely fixing yourself peanut butter and jelly and wondering when you could again dine out for pennies on the dollar.

Well, thank goodness I’m here. Through November 12th, 2009, just use coupon code ENTREE at Restaurant.com and take 80% off your purchase price, netting yourself $25 worth of dining at a clip for just $2 out of pocket.

If you don’t want to basically get $23 worth of fine dining for free, then I think I don’t really know you. (Excuse me while I go clutch my fake pearls and fan myself with some Kohls coupons.)

Gear up to save in 2010

Getting ready to reap the savings next year, already, or have a coupon-hound on your holiday list? Right now if you buy a 2010 Entertainment Book, you’ll get $7 off and free shipping. Just ’cause you’re pretty.

(And because that’s the promotion they’re running right now. Whatever.)

This offer is only good through November 15th, 2009, so you’ll need to get in on it this week if you’re game.

I’m a fool for food storage

Last year I valiantly attempted to switch all of our food storage containers over to Pyrex, and I almost did it, too. If not for those meddling kids I could’ve prevailed! But, well, those meddling kids would prefer not to take heavy glass containers in their lunch boxes.

So now I have glass containers for at-home storage and an assortment of plastics I use for packing lunches. (My life is complicated, y’all.) And the plastics I buy for lunches slowly disappear over the course of the school year, because my children are… ummm… children.

Anyway, I was cruising around looking for some replacements, today. I see that this 12-piece set of Rubbermaid Lock-its is just $10.50 at Amazon (you may need to look in the “More Buying Choices” column to get it from Amazon rather than a vendor), and eligible for free Super Saver Shipping or Prime. Meanwhile, 24-piece Rubbermaid Easy Find Lid set is just $11, and while I was there I looked up these Produce Savers because my stepmom swears by them and I keep meaning to buy some. Amazon claims $12.98 is the regular price for that set, but the other buying options are a lot more expensive, so I don’t know.

What I do know is that all lunch containers are going to be stapled to the children from now on, so that I get them back.

‘Tis the season

… to get free money!

You should already know that if you throw your jar of change into a Coinstar machine, there’s no fee if you take your output as a gift certificate. And there’s lots of stores from which to choose, though of course you know I go for the Amazon certificate every time.

And now through mid-December, why not make a little extra on the deal? Change at least $40, and you’ll get an extra $10 (as long as you’re getting a certificate back, not cash). Not a bad deal on money you found in your couch cushions, right?

Who wants a pig ear?

Who’s a good girl? Who’s a good girl? That’s right, you are! You’re such a good girl! C’mere, you adorable thing, you.

Oh, what do I have here? Is it a rawhide? A pig ear? A hunk of pepperoni? No, it’s a free shipping code for PetFoodDirect, which is even better, because you can order up to 25 pounds worth of supplies for your pampered pet and it’ll ship for free. Yes it will! (Ordering more than 25 pounds worth? You’ll get a discounted rate.)

Just use code PET3696A through November 12th. Yes. Save. Save! Good girl!!

While I am getting squished

I have the singular joy (ahem) of having one of those doctor’s appointments this morning, if you know what I mean (and I think you do). So while I’m doing that, here’s a few dailies to keep you busy:

Oh, 6pm.com, you’re like the drug habit I never had. Pro-Keds for $15? Irregular Choice for $10? I’m not made of stone, you know.

Today’s featured daily deal at Barnes & Noble is a Columbia Pictures 11-movie DVD set including Ghandi, for $55. (For reference, the same set is $84 at Amazon.

Graveyard Mall’s daily deal today includes a beautiful tabletop fountain with a light and chimes—perfect for setting up a bit of Zen without breaking the budget.

And finally, the Target Daily Deals include a nice wallet, a purse I’m kind of lusting after, a Super Why! backpack, and some fuzzy boots. (But no $80 rainboots, today. Sorry!)

Stay out of trouble until I get back, okay?

Is that a remote in your pocket. . .

… or—well, you know the rest.

I don’t understand the lure of fancy remote controls, but then again, I’m coming up on three years of (re)marriage and to be honest, I still don’t know how to use my husband’s stereo. I’m just sayin’.

If you or the gadget-head in your life have fifty seven different remote controls, apparently today’s Amazon Gold Box deal of a refurbished Logitech Harmony 890 for $100 is a great deal.

I think that for $100 it should also fetch you coffee, but I’m assured by those geekier than me that it’s quite marvelous even without that functionality.
