When only a new bag will do

We are not going to discuss the fact that apparently dogs can get stomach viruses. Nor are we going to discuss why I am looking for coupons at 3:00 in the morning. I said we are not going to discuss it.

What we can discuss is the fact that right now at eBags, you can save 25% and get free shipping on your purchase when you use coupon code BOCA0007.

They have purses, backpacks, luggage… you name it, they probably carry it. Of course, I hope you find yourself shopping at a more humane hour of the day.

Saturday deals

Goooood morning! The sun is shining and the coffee is flowing freely. And all God’s people said amen. (Or would’ve, if they weren’t face-down in their coffee.)

Shopping today? Let’s see what we can find.

You have through the end of the month to shop Red Envelope and save more the more you spend—get 10% off any order, 15% off $80+, or 20% off orders of $125 (it’s automatic through that there link).

Don’t forget that the Nintendo Wii is still just $199 shipped with a free $25 gift card at Amazon. Buy now, feel smug when all your friends are scrambling over holiday shopping! Also, don’t forget that the new month brings new monthly grocery specials, like deals on Halloween candy. Just sayin’.

6pm.com has a slew of great weekend deals, including incredible savings on Privo and Patagonia. Woo!

I’m loving this pair of linked smoke detectors at Buy.com for $50; if one sounds, they both do, plus it’s a voice alarm rather than an ear-piercing beep. (For reference: This is half the current Amazon price.)

It’s Today Only Day at ShopNBC, and while there’s a bunch of expensive watches and such, there’s also some good deals on make-up and sheets. Apparently “Today Only” is code for “odd assortment.” Who knew?

Can you believe that Overstock.com has been around for 10 years already?? I can’t. But they’re having a blowout 10th Anniversary Celebration with daily deals and more ways to save. Today’s Screaming Deal is a 4″ memory foam topper for $85.

The big Fall Sale at BareNecessities.com. Save on Bras, Panties, Men’s Underwear and more! Sale ends 10.06.09.Fall Sale at Bare Necessities is in full swing, so it’s a great time to get something pretty to wear underneath your something pretty. Ahem.

There will be a contest either later on today or early tomorrow morning; depends on how lazy I end up being. How’s that for honest?

I forgive you, Friday

Well. Last week’s Amazon Friday Sale was… lackluster, at best. But Friday says it didn’t mean to do us wrong! It says this time, things will be better! And I want to believe it. Maybe this week we can make the magic happen, Friday…?

Well let’s just see… there’s this leather chair and ottoman set for $300 delivered, which is probably close to what you’d pay for just the ottoman, elsewhere, so that’s not a bad deal. Though I’d hardly recommend leather furniture as an impulse buy, you understand.

And this firepit is as low as I’ve seen it go, at $130, and the season is just right for it now. Again, not something you’d want to pick up “just because,” but if you’ve been looking for one….

Apparently these Coolaroo beds are quite revered in the dog world (oh, the things, I’m learning). The medium and large sizes are marked way down today, though the small seems to still be regular price.

Awww, they brought back the dream supreme pillow 2-pack! That’s right, Amazon, stick to what works. $11 apiece for good pillows is a deal worthy of you. As is this queen Aerobed for $60. Nice work!

I love these wine glasses. And not just because they’re 56% off. (The white wine goblets are the most heavily discounted, but other styles are on sale as well.)

It’s the triumphant return of everyone’s favorite breadmaker!

Today’s Gold Box Deal is a in-wall MartinLogan speaker, and when it comes to audio stuff my eyes tend to glaze over, but apparently this is 1) a good brand and 2) a great price. One of you audiophiles correct me if I’m mistaken.

And don’t forget that there’s a whole new batch of MP3 albums for $5 each to celebrate the new month, too. It’s a great, cheap way to get your tunes on.

Well, Friday Sale… I think you and I are going to be okay. Remember this the next time you want to do a whole sale filled with binders and wood clamps, mmmkay?

Here’s that code you wanted

I guess the last Lands’ End code I posted couldn’t be used in the Outlet; sorry about that! This one is good for the next week, and should work on everything: Use code LUGE with PIN 1153 to ship any size order for free.

And hopefully that makes up for the last one.

Maybe today’s the day

I think it’s time I finally got those PF Flyers I’ve been wanting practically my entire life, don’t you? Good thing they’re having a PF Flyers blowout at 6pm.com today; for just under $20/pair I can find the ones that really express my inner child.

If only I could figure out which ones those are. You know, the ones that say, “I’m cute but I still totally hate gym class.”

From birth to high school

I know I’ve discussed here before how I have a love/hate relationship with car seat guidelines. On the one hand, I think it’s hugely important for children’s safety, and yes, I am totally that mom who still has kids in booster seats long after everyone else has ditched them. On the other hand, if I go strictly by the height/weight requirements, neither of my kids will be booster-free before high school.

Which… sorry, but no.

Anyway, I still appreciate a good grow-with-them car seat that works for different ages and stages, even if I’m not willing to strap my middle-schooler into one. Heh. So today’s deal on Buy.com on an Evenflo Symphony car seat caught my eye; this seat will take your kid from 5 to 100 pounds, and up to 57 inches tall. It works as a rear-facing seat, forward-facing 5-point restraint, and then as a booster. It may even slice, dice, and make perfect julienne fries, I’m not sure.

Today it’s just $120 shipped, compared to $168 at Amazon. (Check out a pretty thorough review here if you want more details than you get from the Amazon reviews.)

I don’t have babies anymore, but just allow me to say that nothing this cool existed when I did. (You kids today have it too easy! Now get off my lawn.)

A big bundle for big charity

If only you could get a wicked deal on something and have the money you spent go to a great cause. Pipe dream? Nope, that’s TheBigBundle, $700 worth of goods and services for just $29.99, with every penny spent going to the American Cancer Society.

That’s a pretty killer deal (click through to see what you get—everything from gift cards for pizza to premium software), but I think we can make it better. Use coupon code WANTNOTDOTNET and take an additional 30% off; you’ll get it all for just $21. The code will only work for the first thousand purchases, though, so if you want in, get a move on.

I don’t know how these folks wangled this bundle, but I’m totally in.

It’s a great day for jeans, girls

Does your favorite girl need jeans? (I mean, I don’t know about yours, but piling bricks on the head of mine has been completely ineffectual, and she outgrew all her pants over the summer, anyway.) Today (September 30th, 2009) only, Justice is offering buy 1, get 1 free on select jeans.

And the best part is that you can still use code 818 for 40% off, too, so the jeans come out to about $9 each, or around $12 each with shipping.

Go ahead—be a hero and don’t tell her they were on sale. I won’t tell.

P.S. Um, who bought all the size 12 slim skinny jeans? Sheesh.

Th-th-th-that’s cheap, folks

Maybe it’s the kid in me (okay, fine; it’s definitely the kid in me), but I’m totally jazzed over today’s Deal of the Day at Barnes & Noble. It’s the Looney Tunes Golden Collection (volume 1) for $32.49, though I’d argue you can’t put a price on the nostalgia for those Saturday mornings spent laying on your stomach in front of the television, eating sugar cereal and watching cartoon characters drop anvils on each other.

The current price at Amazon is $50, so I’d say this is a bargain, indeed.

Charge me up

I wasn’t able to find a review of this one, although for $30 shipped I might not care; today Buy.com has a Sound and Charge Speaker Valet available that would be utterly perfect for that special geek in your life.

What’s not to like about a speaker stand for your iPod where you can also charge up to five devices at once?

This may actually be a little too exciting for my husband, He Of Many Gadgets. Perhaps I should wait for a very special occasion, like our anniversary or something.

(P.S. Buy lists the original price as $60, but it seems to be selling for $130 at the Sound and Charge store. Maybe that one is filled with cocaine?)
