Free shipping, today only
Apparently you can get free shipping on any size order, today (May 28th, 2009) only, at Victoria’s Secret. Just use coupon code SHIPFREE.
Their semi-annual sale is on, so there’s lots of deals to be had.
Personally, VS is a little too fancy-schmancy for me, or maybe it’s just that I take issue with their models making me feel old and fat. Because as a size 4 who hasn’t yet hit 40, I’m clearly ancient and obese. Ahem.
I love me some daily deals
Have you checked out Target’s Daily Deals with free shipping for today? The featured deal is a golf bag (maybe for Father’s Day?), but I’m thinking I may need that darling red tea set for camping.
Because I need to have my tea, even in the woods. And it’s awfully cute.
Okay, maybe I don’t need it. I’m still deciding. (Oh! Wouldn’t that be an awesome holiday teacher gift? Maybe for the gift closet…?)
It’s the weekend-after-Memorial-Day sale
If you’re not all shopped out from the holiday weekend, you may want to take a peek over at Macy’s; they’re offering an additional 25% off their already reduced clearance prices (markdowns already taken). This is the time to shop Macy’s if you think you can’t afford them, because some of those reductions mean you can get Macy’s stuff at Target prices.
Not that I don’t love Target, you understand. But… you know.
Calling all XBox fanatics
Today’s Amazon Gold Box deal is the Fallout 3 Collector’s Edition for just under $47, and the current Lightning Deal is Call of Duty: World At War for just under $40.
I think I just figured out why we don’t have an Xbox. Are all the games war- and apocalypse-themed?
Eddie knows your favorites
Through the end of the month, Eddie Bauer has a huge selection of “summer favorites” marked 25% off (look for the “fun in the sun” banner near the bottom of the entry page), so that you don’t have to wait until the end of the season to get in on the bargains.
I’m not seeing any current coupon codes, unfortunately. And I haven’t quite forgiven them for discontinuing my favorite pants. But it’s something, because I just can’t quit Eddie.
More than shoes
You know how I love to drool over the shoe sales at 6pm.com, but today most of their sales have nothing at all to do with shoes—choose from Smith Optics sunglasses for under $28 or Jansport backpacks for under $15, or check out the Roxy clothing that’s up to 60% off.
Oh, don’t worry; there’s shoes on sale, too. But I feel like 6pm is sucking me into an ever-widening net of dealtasticness, and part of me is scared, and part of me just appreciates the bargains. Is that bad?
Stock up on rechargeables
Okay, so, we all know we’re supposed to be switching over to rechargeable batteries—better for the environment, ultimately better for our wallets, etc. But lousy rechargeable batteries are worse than crummy alkalines; they die quickly and leave you grumbling.
The “best of the best” are supposedly the Sanyo Eneloops, but I’m also hearing good things about Duracell’s version, which is currently on sale at Amazon. A 4-pack of AAAs for under $8 shipped (assuming you have Prime or get enough in your cart for Super Saver Shipping) is what you’d pay for disposables, only these will last a whole lot longer.
(If you need AAs, they’re at $11, still, which is not a bad price, just not quite as great as the AAAs.)
Don’t forget the sunscreen!
Summer’s a-coming (or has arrived, depending on where in the country you live), and nothing says summer like a mother bellowing, “Stop! Sunscreen!!”
Oh, does that only happen at my house…?
If you’re a fan of Coppertone, you can go to their site and click on the lower left, there, to print out a $3 coupon good on any one of their sun protection products. It’s a great way to save a few bucks on something you were going to buy, anyway.
(Thanks, Stephanie!)
Enjoy Life, gluten-free
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this whole gluten-free thing I’m doing? Like, maybe three or four hundred times, I’ve mentioned it? Needless to say, I’m experiencing a bit of… growing pains with it. (And by “growing pains” I mean “insatiable craving for homemade wheat bread.”)
Anyway, I was cruising around Amazon looking for some gluten-free deals. It turns out that through the end of May, you can save big on select Enjoy Life products—all of which are gluten-free. Just pick your product (all of which are already marked down), then apply coupon code ENJOYLIF to save another 20%.
That’s just $15.50 for 6 boxes of cereal bars, for example. They also have gluten-free baking mixes and a gluten-free, nut-free granola.
But they don’t have any gluten-free wheat bread. Go figure.
Fancy pants
Is your man a fancy-pants? Or does he just need some nicer clothing for an upcoming work even or wedding? Check out the 50% off sale at Jos. A. Bank; they’ve got everything on sale to make your man super-fancy. Or just sort of fancy.
It’s the summer stuff that’s on sale, too, not just the winter leftovers. Shipping is always free on orders of $175+, which isn’t hard to hit if you’re buying a suit and associated accessories.
Go on, guys. There’s nothing quite like a man in a tie.
