Sunday savings
And a few more places to grab a deal for you, today….
Today’s St. Nick’s Pick at Lands’ End is women’s fine gauge cardigans for 25% off (and don’t forget that link gives you automatic free shipping on anything and everything), and today’s deal at Endless is 20% off Robeez, for the littlest feet in your life.
It’s Super Sunday at Fashion Bug, with 50% off regular prices, automatically. Combine that with code 776180101 for another 15% off, 776251001 for $15 off $75+, or 776239709 for free shipping on any order.
Meanwhile, if you need plus sizes, it’s Customer Appreciation Days at Catherines, with 40% off regular prices and an additional 50% off already-reduced clearance prices. Take another 10% off with coupon code 776902207, or get free shipping on $100+ with code 776902405.
Sierra Trading Post is offering 25% off thousands of items, which should be automatic through that link, but if not, use coupon code AC128A. I think STP is one of the most underrated stores out there—not a lot of people seem to know about them, but they have great prices on a lot of very high-end stuff. Plus they used to give free shipping based on folks answering questions or riddles based on their catalog, which is so geeky you sort of have to love them.
Yep, more Amazon deals
(The really scary part, here, is that some say the “real sales” at Amazon don’t start until next week….)
Some game deals:
The Game of Life Twists and Turns for $10.99 (69% off)
Cat in the Hat — I Can Do That! for $6.99 (65% off)
Further reduced:
Plaet Earth Digital Microscope Kit for $14.99 (70% off)
Melissa and Dough Deluxe Standing Easel for $29.99 (half off—I’ve been watching this one and this is the lowest it’s gone so far)
For your Harry Potter fan:
Did you remember to pick up a copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard? It’s currently just $7.14 (45% off)!
Video games:
Wii Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party for $39.99 (not exactly cheap, but this is a new release t 20% off, and we love us some Raving Rabbids, here)
We should come up for an official name for the craziness the Amazon price fluctuations may induce….
All sorts of Saturday deals
Gooooood morning! My lazy children are still in bed, and the house is eerily quiet. Some might say it feels magical. Some might take this opportunity to… do some shopping.
Macy’s has all sorts of stuff going on this weekend; today, use coupon code SAVETEN to take $10 off your $25+ purchase (and there are a ton of One Day Sale Web Busters available). Starting tomorrow, use coupon code GIFTED to save either 10% or 15% on everything, plus get free shipping. (And if you’re thinking about cashmere, this holiday season, get over to Macy’s today for sure—everything is marked waaaaay down.)
Old Navy is doing their $12 denim deal again this weekend, as well as up to 40% off sweaters.
Overstock is offering 20% off select clothing this weekend—that’s on top of their already discounted prices—and they have a wide array of coats and jackets, in addition to other pretty things.
Still shopping for toys? Today only, shop at Toys ‘R’ Us and take 15% off your $150+ order. That combines with the current free shipping on $49+ offer they’re running, so you might be able to save big on that one. (Savings are automatic through the link—no coupon code needed.)
Save at Eddie Bauer this weekend—use coupon code GIFT2U for an additional 25% off your order! Meanwhile, EMS is offering 25% off most stuff with no coupon needed.
Shop the Discovery Store this weekend and enjoy free shipping on your $75+ order, plus take 25% off any order with coupon code FRIEND8. And at National Geographic you can save 20% all weekend with coupon code 08A20.
Today’s St. Nick’s Pick at Lands’ End is thermacheck fleece pullovers, and don’t forget that going through that link gives you free shipping on anything you order. And today’s holiday deal at Endless is the adiStar running shoe for women, which means nothing at all to me, because I don’t run unless I’m being chased.
Phew, that is a lot of Saturday deals. Hopefully you’ll find what you need!
Exercise your cranium
Although there are a few Cranium games out there with poor reviews, they’re definitely the exception to the rule. The rule, of course, being that Cranium games mostly rock.
And now, a bunch of them are on sale at Amazon.
For ages 12+:
Cranium Wow for $19.99 (33% off)
Cranium Turbo for $16.99 (43% off)
Cranium Pop 5 for $14.99 (50% off)
For ages 9-12:
Cranium Big Book of Outrageous Fun! for $13.59 (32% off)
Cranium: The Word Worm Book of Outrageous Fun! for $10.19 (32% off)
For ages 8+:
Cranium Family Edition for $9.99 (44% off)
For ages 7-12:
New Cadoo for $7.99 (60% off)
All this and the Friday Sale, too
After a week of deals at Amazon, the Friday Sale feels a little superfluous, I’ll admit, but that’s not going to stop me. (And yes, the prices are bouncing around crazily on some of the aforementioned deals, and yes, I miss the price-adjustment days, too. This is the downside of Prime, I’m discovering—orders go into process so quickly, if there’s a price drop I can’t just cancel the original order and reorder at the new price.)
Alright—time for a look around.
I understand that the HydroSurge RapidBath system is for giving your pet a thorough 3-minute bathing, but what I want to know is: Will it work on my kids?
I am so intrigued by this 3-in-1 crock pot system—it’s one base with three different size crocks. (Only 25% off, but still a great price, especially considering how heavy it must be to shop!) If I didn’t already own two crock pots….
I don’t expect anyone who reads Want Not to actually buy a Blendtec Blender (though that is $50 cheaper than I’ve ever seen it before), but if you’ve never watched the videos they put out over at Will It Blend?, check it out to see what a real blender can do. (Just a little Friday gift from me to you.)
I think the Sonic Boom alarm clock is a great gift for the college student in your life. (Or elementary school student who is capable of sleeping through the alarm.)
Hmmm… after the toy frenzy this week, I’m just not all that impressed. Even the video game specials are leaving me cold, today. (But that’s probably because they’re all XBox games. Maybe if you have an XBox you’ll feel differently.)
Ooooh—today’s Gold Box Deal is the entire X-Files series on DVD (61 discs!!) for $123.99 shipped. That’s kind of awesome.
Don’t forget to check out the Friday Five, five MP3 albums for just $5 each. They have They Might Be Giants — Here Come the 123s, today, which is a great album for kids.
The Holiday deal today at Endless is 40% off the Belfast shoulder bag, which is gorgeous but still pretty pricey. Maybe useful for someone who’s been saving their pennies for that very thing.
Today’s St. Nick’s Pick at Lands’ End is $30 off goose down jackets for men and women. Don’t forget that going through that link gives you free shipping on everything, just in case you have other shopping to do at Lands’ End today.
I’ll keep an eye out for any other sale madness, today, but it could be that Black Friday/Cyber Monday/etc. is finally winding down. Maybe.
Just a few more toys
I’m trying to keep up with the Amazon markdowns, you know, but the rest of life keeps getting in the way. Imagine. Hmph.
Here’s a few more deals to check out:
Uno Attack for $8.99 (67% off)
Trivial Pursuit Digital Choice for $14.99 (70% off)
Radio Flyer Turbo Turtle for $29.99 (57% off and so cute it’ll make your ovaries hurt)
Wiis in stock at Amazon
And a toy for a big boy (or girl)
It’s great that the kids are getting everything they want, this year, but what about you? You’ve been very good, too. I can tell.
You know that as a Mac devotee I heartily recommend you go straight to the top and get yourself an iPod, when you buy an MP3 player, but not everyone can or wants to do that. I get it. If you’re strictly looking for bang-for-your-buck, how about this Sony 8GB Walkman Video? Great reviews, and it’s currently marked down to just $99.99 (47% off). You’ll get a $5 music credit and a subscription to Wired Magazine (which you can redeem for $8 buck, if you’d rather) along with the deal.
It’s tiny, it looks and sounds great, and the price is certainly enticing. And you’ve been doing so much for everyone else, lately….
More toys, more toys, more toys
I’ve gotten a couple of “oh my gosh I have so much stuff for my kid already but I can’t stop shopping” emails from folks, so I did want to point out a few things. First of all, just because you’re buying it now doesn’t mean they have to get it now. Second, it’s good to have some toys in your gift closet for birthday parties and such. And third, ’tis the season, you know? Pick up a few extras for Toys For Tots if you can. And then do me a favor and take your kids with you when you drop stuff off, because that’s just about the best gift you can give them this season, anyway.
Okay, lecture over. More deals!
Transformers (sing it with me—robots in disguise!) 68% off:
Universe Ultra Powerglide
Universe Ultra Onslaught
Universe Ultra Voyager Blaster
Rubik’s Techno Revolution (remember when this was the hot “IT” toy? just $5.99 now—a good filler if you’re trying to get up to $25 for free shipping)
Honeybee Hop is down to $9.99 (this is a great birthday party gift for the preschool set)
And for your little scientist: Planet Earth Digital Microscope Kit down to $19.99 (60% off).
More Amazon toy deals
It occurred to me that maybe I should number these posts. Like, More Toy Deal, Part 2 of Eleventy. That would be terribly helpful, I’m sure.
More finds from browsing around this morning!
Video games:
Active Life Outdoor Challenge for Wii for $39.98 (33% off)—this has great reviews and is being touted as a great alternative to the Fit.
Star Wars – Clone Wars Plug N Play for $14.99 (70% off)
Board games:
Rhino Rampage for $9.99 (63% off)
Candyland Castle for $7.99 (60% off) (I would rather stick a fork in my eye, repeatedly, but maybe you are more patient than I am)
Cranium Hullabaloo for $10.99 (56% off)
Build it:
Struxx Robotixx T-Rex for $20.99 (70% off)
I’ll keep looking for more….
