Your chance to win Oprah goodies

Oprah is giving away 5,000 totes of various goodies as part of her Spring Ahead promotion; one of them could end up being yours if you enter here. One grand prize winner will win a trip, too.

Good luck! Just don’t win the bag that I’m supposed to win, mmmkay?

New shoppers can save big

Have you ever shopped at SmartBargains before? No? That’s excellent news—today only (April 8th, 2008) new shoppers can save 20% off any size order at SmartBargains* through that link, just because you’re pretty. And new. And shiny! But in the sparkly way, not in the oily way.

Okay, I’m gonna stop talking now. Go save.

*Save 20% on the first $200 of merchandise, for a maximum savings of $40. I think you’d have trouble spending more than that there, anyway, because everything is so cheap.

Smoking photo paper deal, maybe

This one is a regional thing, so please don’t complain if it doesn’t work for you—it did for me, and it may in other areas as well.

Circuit City has packs of 4″x 12″ sheets of photo paper marked down to just $.96 apiece! They’re also buy one, get one, so you’re getting 40 sheets of photo paper for under $2.

The catch? They’re only available at some stores, and not available for shipping. You have to put in your zip code to see if they’re available locally, and if they are, you can buy them and then pick them up at the store.

I recommend buying them and then telling your husband to go pick them up. Oops! Did I say that out loud…?

Snowmen in April

Oh, I know… you don’t want snowmen now, but for your gift closet or a winter party or an impromptu Christmas present later you may wish to snap up a few copies of the Snowmen At Night Jigsaw Puzzle Book, which is currently down to just $2.62 at Amazon.

Besides, it’ll make the cold, gray dreariness outside seem positively tropical.

Sunday links, because I was too tired yesterday

I really meant to get you some Saturday links, I did, but then the internet access at my hotel was all wonky and I left early for the airport and hopped an earlier flight home and spent the remainder of the day with my children piled on top of me like puppies.

It was lovely, but probably didn’t help you save any money. Let’s see if we can fix that….

Just a reminder, today is your last chance to enter the Zoobies contest before the deadline. If you haven’t entered yet, hurry up.

It’s exercise season! (Otherwise known was ack-I-got-flabby-this-winter season!) Right now All Champion® Sports Bras are just $19.99 each at ChampionCatalog.com for a limited time. That’s up to 50% off. Plus, spend $100+ and your shipping is free.

It’s time for another Restaurant.com promo, of course! Through April 6th, 2008, you can use coupon code DINING to take 50% off your certificate purchase. That’s $25 worth of fine food you didn’t have to cook yourself for just $5. (And remember, some restaurants release a limited number of certificates each month, so the first week of the month—now!—is the time to snap ’em up.)

Best Buy is having an online-only 2-Day Springtime Sale today and tomorrow (April 6-7). There’s too much on sale to list, but plenty of great deals worth peeking at if you’re in the market for something electronic.

Circuit City is having plenty of deals, too, and don’t forget that they’re giving free shipping on order of $24+, automatically.

You have through tomorrow to take $30 off your $450+ purchase at Overstock, through that link, or if you’ve never shopped them before, new customers can take $10 off $150+ through that link.

Free shipping is back at Lands’ End again! Just use source code FLOWER and PIN 530453045 through April 18th, 2008. Don’t forget to check the Outlet for the best deals!.

Enjoy your day, and think of me when you save a few bucks.

You didn’t think I would forget, did you?

Hello! I am still conferencing! (In fact, today I am sitting on a panel. This calls for new shoes! Thankfully I happen to have some with me.) But I am taking time out from my busy schedule of shoving my business card at people to take you through the Amazon Friday Sale. Because I have priorities.

Show me the man who’s willing to wear these Superman Super Bling knit pants and I’ll show you… a girl. (Bling? I don’t care if they are pajamas. No.)

I’m not sure why this is in the automotive section, but if you’re a camper, this solar lantern may be of interest to you. (That’s the cheapest I’ve ever seen it.)

I think I’m in love. Don’t forget to pricematch at Endless if you want them, both because you’ll save about another $10 and because that way you’ll get free shipping and a free return if you need it. (Ooooh, there are lots of good shoes this week. Must. stop. looking.) (Tip: If Amazon carries it, Endless does as well. Always. Don’t forget those pricematches!)

Scooooooooooooba!

For when you’re serious about smoking. No, the other kind of smoking.

This is a great deal on a memory foam topper for your bed. (And the reviews are good—unfortunately, Amazon often discounts the ones with lousy reviews. This one I would chance, though.)

Unless you’ve hit menopause, you wouldn’t understand. (If you’re like me, you’re already trying to figure out how to justify the cost….)

These photo coasters would be great Mother’s Day gifts (start taking pics of the kids/grandkids now). And at $4.99/set you really can’t go wrong.

Again with the cheap Calphalon. Very tempting. Maybe I could accidentally drop one of my pots when I get home….

Need a crock pot? That one’s under $25 and comes with a bonus little crock pot for putting your cheese dip in. Mmmmm… cheese dip.

If you have severely dry, sensitive skin (or your child does), check out this Nature’s Gate oatmeal lotion is awesome stuff, and all-natural. (I solemnly swear on the heads of my no-longer-itchy children!)

Retail gone so very wrong alert: Octopus! In oil! (I do like the illustration on the package, though.)

Have a wonderful Friday, everyone! I’m headed back home tomorrow, so we’ll be resuming our regular Want Not programming very soon.

A quick wagon deal

I pink puffy heart all things Radio Flyer, in case you haven’t gathered that already. I just love the way their stuff is built, the way it looks, and, um, I like the color red.

Anyway, when I saw that this Radio Flyer walker wagon is half price ($50 with free shipping), I had to get it posted here right away, even though I am actually sitting in a conference right now.

So great is my love for you. And Radio Flyer.

I’m sorry! Back soon!

Hey, sorry for the break in posting. I thought I’d have more time and an internet connection that actually works, here, while I’m traveling, and so far I have very little time and an internet connection that likes to pretend to work. Hmph.

With any luck, we’ll be back to some more deals later today. Until then, sit tight and bear with me, please.

(Pssssst! Wanna know what I did yesterday? I was busy being a dork!

Hey, it’s Kohls again

I can’t remember if I’ve ever seen this one from them before, but here it is: Through April 8th, 2008, get flat rate $5 shipping on every order, automatically.

I think code SAVE15MAR is still working for an additional 15% off for Kohls card holders, too.

And I haven’t actually looked, but I just bet they’re having some sort of sale. Surprise!
