New store, free shipping

I guess Crazy 8 is owned by the same folks who own Gymboree, and to celebrate their online launch they’re shipping all orders for free for a limited time.

Check out the sale section. You know, Santa often puts new socks in my kids’ stockings. And, um, he said there were a few nice options along those lines available (as long as it’s shipping for free)….

Trade it in

Have a cell phone you don’t use anymore? How about an old, dead laptop?

You can trade your old cells in for a credit over at Best Buy, and you can trade in almost anything tech-related over at Circuit City for a gift card.

Just consider it recycling.

It’s like a bonus Friday Sale

As Amazon is wont to do when there’s a pseudo-holiday on a Monday, today and tomorrow they’re having a 48-Hour Kitchen and Home Sale with all sorts of stuff like they’d normally have in the Friday Sale.

Don’t forget that if you see something cheaper than you bought it last week, you can email in for a price adjustment. (Example: I paid $3 more for this Pyrex storage set which is now down to $9.99, which—for those of you still clinging to your plastic food storage—is basically cheaper than you could buy comparable plastics, minus the delicious toxins. Just sayin’.)

it’s O-Day, all day

Celebrate the discovery of this brave new world with the misnamed O-Day (misnamed because it always last for about three days; what’s that about?) and the chance to save big on something you’ve been looking at over at Overstock. Now through October 10th, 2007, you can save 7% on an size order and ship it for just $1 through that there link.

I love the O-Day percentage off coupons because it rescues me from that peculiar little OCD problem where there’s a coupon that’s so much off of $100, say, and then I spend an hour trying to get my order as close to $100 as possible. It’s a sickness. Thankfully, with this one, I can just order. Phew.

Printable Big Lots coupon

Hitting Big Lots this week? Print this out and take it with you—it’s valid through October 13th, 2007, for 20% off your entire purchase.

(You couldn’t pay me to enter a Big Lots on a school holiday, personally, but it’s good all week….)

Take a third off

Happy Columbus Day! Why not celebrate by starting your Christmas shopping? Over at Browse the best in Christian products at FamilyChristian.com you can tak 33% off of a single item today (October 8th, 2007) only with coupon code 1160156. The coupon works on sale items but does have a few exclusions (like it won’t work on Demdaco or Willow Tree stuff), so you may have to play around with it a little.

Family Christian has an extensive selection of books (not just religious stuff), as well as a ton of other stuff—including an impressive array of Christmas ornaments. It might be worth a look if you haven’t shopped there before.

Happy Columbus Day weekend

Here’s a few places to do some shopping, in the spirit of, um, discovery. (Dude, I’m certain Columbus would’ve ordered supplies online had that option been open to him….)

Take 10% off your $79+ Sierra Trading Post order through that there link. (Expires November 5th, 2007.)

Over at Smartbargains, they’re having a Columbus Day Sale with prices up to 50% off. And don’t forget that you can get free shipping on your $75+ order. (Columbus Day Sale is on through October 9th, 2007; free shipping valid through October 15th, 2007.)

Over at Toys ‘R’ Us, Halloween costumes are half off this week. And really, can you put a price on not having to step foot in the madness that is that store? No, you can’t.

Oh, did you want something educational for the holiday? Alright. Go take 30% off the Columbus DVD set if you must.

As for me, I’m getting into the Halloween spirit. Here, have some color-changing ghost candles or some glass eyeball scatter on sale. You’re welcome!

Because it’s too early to start drinking

I don’t know how your morning is going, but mine got off to a pretty rough start. I’m not going to say anything else about that, other than that if anyone is looking for an extra child, I may be able to help you out. Cheap! Ahem.

Anyway! Perhaps I can drown my sorrows in the Amazon Friday Sale.

Get your gadgets on: This one is a weather forecaster AND an atomic clock. (No word on whether it is also a floor wax and a dessert topping.) (If you are too young to understand that reference, you are henceforth a young whippersnapper.)

Attention crafty types: You can get a serger for almost 60% off today. It has pretty good reviews, too. I find sewing a button on rather taxing, so this isn’t for me, but maybe it’s for you.

What to put under your velvet Elvis painting: Why, one of these, of course.

Tools you didn’t know you needed: Sure, but how can you resist something called Mr. 7 Hands?

Not as dirty as it sounds: This hot lather machine.

Maybe not the right message: I don’t know about you, but I have mixed feelings about a bicycle that says “numb” on the seat. Just sayin’.

This Transformers bike (and this one, too) sure is cool, but what I want to know is does it fold up into a soda can? Because that would be cool.

I’d nearly given up on this week’s sale as a bust, until I came across this Pinzon cookware set for 79% off (great reviews, too). Yowza.

Now that they’ve told us that plastic is evil, there’s going to be a run on cheap pyrex storageware. Here’s another set, too.

Nice silverware.

The unbreakable french press is back. I’m tempted, but I also don’t trust myself to make a decent cup of coffee before I’ve had some coffee, so it’s sort of a conundrum.

Hey, if you can’t find anything in the Friday Sale that makes you happy, guess what! There’s also a Woot Off going on today. And there goes any chance for getting any real work done. You’re welcome!
