Awesome baby carriers, special for Want Not readers

This one is so good, it makes me wish I still had a baby. (Do you think my 7-year-old will let me carry him in a sling? Wait, don’t answer that; he’d probably love it, and I’d end up with a herniated disc.)

Sometimes, very good things happen as a result of this website. Yesterday, one of those good things happened: Heather of MaMaMade Products contacted me to ask if I’d like to offer my readers a special discount on her company’s gorgeous baby carriers.

Did I want to offer my readers a special discount? Does a bear… ah… nevermind. I said “Yes, please!”

There are three different styles and numerous funky fabrics from which to choose. And right now, Want Not readers can enjoy 25% off their purchases through this link. Check it out if you have a baby, or are going to have a baby, or know someone who needs a baby gift. This offer is good through February 28th, 2007.

Thanks, Heather!

100% FREE photo paper

Why? I do not know. But if you go to Stootsi right now you can order a package of Fuji Premium Plus 4″ x 6″ glossy photo paper (20 sheets). Free paper! Free shipping!

It’s madness, I tell you. The very best kind of madness! Go! Quickly!

Save at CVS

Have a local CVS you like to shop at? What could make that experience better for you? How about… being able to save some money and stay in your pajamas, while you shop there?

Right now you can take $10 off your $50 purchase and get free shipping with CVS. This is a great time to stock up on their store brand of diapers, if you like those. (And if you have a baby to wear them. Otherwise, that would just be weird.) There’s plenty of other stuff on sale, plus you get triple ExtraCare bucks when you buy online.

Best of all, you never get stuck in line behind someone who’s counting out their pocket change so they can buy a pack of gum, when you shop from home.

That’s Entertainment!

Entertainment books, that is.

Save on all the things you love to do!
Oh, I’ve talked about these before. Maybe it’s not your thing. But maybe it is, or maybe it’ll make that perfect gift for someone you know who loves to save money, and if so, you can buy one now for $10 off the regular price and start saving.

The price and size of the books varies by area (enter a zip code to see which book is right for you), but hey, $10 is $10. Take advantage of just an offer or two from the book and it’s paid for itself, too.

You all can just Woot Off

Did I forget to put my deodorant on yesterday? I mean, I know it was sort of a slim day for deals, and I know I was gone for part of the day, but c’mon. Where’s the love?

Hmph. Fine. See if I care. Today you can go spend the day refreshing the Woot Off if that’s how you’re gonna be.

End-of-season clearance, mid-season

I just love how retailers are claiming an end-of-season clearance just as it feels like said season is starting to get underway. I mean, in retail-ese, it’s time to make way for spring! Yet, here in the actual world, it sure feels like winter, still.

(I never claimed to understand how the big corporate retailing machine works. I just claimed to like pretty things, for less money.)

Anyway, I can’t stop browsing the Eddie Bauer Outlet winter clearance, because they have an awful lot of pretty stuff for a lot less money than usual. Maybe you’ve had your eye on something for a while, but couldn’t justify the cost. Maybe it’s on sale now. You won’t know unless you check. You know you want to.

(I really missed my vocation as a drug dealer, you know?)

It’s O-Day, all day

Overstock is having another one of those promotions I just don’t understand. I mean, on the one hand, yes, brilliant—call it O-Day, because who can read that without snickering a little? On the other hand, how come O-Day lasts 4 days? Wouldn’t that be O-Half-Week?

It’s very confusing.

Fortunately, my confusion is easily soothed with a good deal. So, from now through Thursday, February 1st, take 10% off your entire order at Overstock, courtesy of O-Day, or O-Half-Week, or O-Who-Cares, or whatever you’d like to call it.

It looks like the $1 shipping is still on for today, too. See? I feel better already.

20% off coupon for Big Lots

Thanks to the multitudes of folks who mailed this one in: If you sign up for Big Lots’ Buzz Club, you’ll receive a coupon for 20% off. Supposedly there are other benefits to joining as well, but I am all about the coupon, baybee.

(Note: When I joined, the coupon it generated for me was good for this week, Saturday to Saturday, only. Keep that in mind if you decide to sign up on a Friday; I’m not sure how they decide the time frame.)

Of course, I don’t think I’ve ever spent more than $20 at Big Lots in a single run, before, either. But they do sell larger items, and the coupon may come in handy if you—unlike me—enjoy shopping there for more than cheap granola bars.

Ho Ho Ho

Most of the Christmas clearance has come and gone, but there are still a few deals to be had if you’re willing to buy stuff 11 months in advance.

For example, right now all of the remaining Christmas decor at HSN ships for free. Some of it is admittedly a little scary, and some of it really isn’t discounted all that much, but it’s worth a look.

Plus, if you’re like me, looking at Christmas stuff softens the sting of the current frigid temperatures just a little….

Skype for half price

I keep forgetting to post this, and several of you have mailed in tips about it, and every time I see them I think to myself, “Self, I should totally post about the Skype deal, and soon,” and then I see something shiny and wander off and never post.

Whoops.

Anyway, now through January 31st, 2007 (that’s this Wednesday), you can sign up for a whole year of unlimited SkypeOut for just $14.95, which is half their regular price. Don’t know Skype? This plan allows you to call other Skype users (which is always free) and any regular (non-Skype) phone in the U.S. or Canada for free, and to call internationally at ridiculously reduced rates. All you need is a mic and speakers, or a headset if you’re fancy.

I use my cell phone to make long distance calls, but the reception in my house is pretty lousy. Now for just over a buck a month, I can make those calls from my computer. Works for me.

(P.S. They take Paypal. Put those random eBay earnings to good use!)
