Right now at Sierra Trading Post, they’re giving you an extra 15% off of already-reduced clearance items. This is one of my favorite places to shop online, because they have such a weird and wonderful mix of items. (Hiking boots! Next to the evening gowns!) So this is sort of the nirvana of mystery sales, right here. Just sayin’.

Uncle! Uncle!
Please stop emailing me to say that they’re having a Woot-Off today. I know! I’m trying not to look!
Heh.

Here’s a neat one if you love bakeware (guilty!) or need a smart-looking wedding gift:
Right now Amazon is offering select 3-piece Reco International baking sets
marked down from $40 to the $11 or $12 range. There are also bonus offers available, like a free Reco cookbook if you spend $24.99+ (which you will anyway, to get free shipping, right?) and a free KaiserFlex silicone spoon for a $30+ bakeware purchase.
I notice the prices seem to be jumping all around on these… the deal probably won’t last long. Get in there if you’re interested.

Just in case you’re not able to accomplish all of your necessary back-to-school shopping online (and believe me, I’ve tried, but sometimes you just need to hit the stores), be sure to mark your calendar with your state’s tax-free days, if you’re living in a state that has ‘em.
Georgia is tax-free this coming weekend. I guess that would be a good time for me to go buy all of the pencils my children will need to lose this year. The money I save on taxes can go towards more pencils in January, when they both swear they don’t have a single thing to write with and their pencil cases were raided by graphite-hungry aliens.

My favorite kind of sale is when the stuff already on sale gets additionally marked down. For one thing, everything is incredibly cheap; for another, I sort of feel like I’m getting a double-deal. Anyway. Right now at Jos. A. Bank, anything that’s left in their clearance section is an additional 50% off, through August 2nd, 2008. You’ll also get free 2-day shipping on your $175+ order, automatically.
My experience with these sales is that sizes and colors are limited, so you’ll need some patience… but if you take the time, you’ll likely be rewarded with some awesome deals. (And a well-dressed husband. I do like me a cute man in a suit.)

I’m sorry, I feel like I’ve posted a million shoe deals lately, but really, can a person have too many pairs of shoes? I mean, when they’re fabulous shoes gotten on sale? I think not.
Anyway, I can’t figure out how to link directly for some reason, but if you hop on over to 6pm Shoes and do a search on “Teva,” you’ll find a vast array of Tevas marked down to $19.95.
$19.95 is about the most I’m willing to pay for a pair of shoes. What I want to know is who was paying the original prices for these things? ($79 for sport sandals? Really?)

Don’t ask me why these things go together; they just do. Because they’re both great, and because the YouCast folks are feeling mighty generous.
Here’s the deal: Schick has recently introduced the Quattro Titanium, a razor that will give you an incredibly close shave and make you feel really manly. (Um, unless you’re a woman, in which case you’ll just have to settle for the close shave.) They’ve also got this fun Trim Flixx site going to let you make goofy movies about the joys of shaving, too. That’s a fun way to kill some time.
In addition, you may have noticed Journey to the Center of the Earth is out in theaters right now, and YouCast is running the Race to the Center! game site to tie-in with the movie and provide a handy little distraction while you’re at work.
Why does any of this matter to you? Because YouCast is going to give away the following to some lucky Want Not readers: One $20 Fandango gift certificate (redeemable for any Fandango-eligible movie tickets, not just Journey), and two Schick Titanium razors.
Want to win? To enter the drawing, simply leave a comment on this post by 3:00 p.m. Eastern (noon Pacific) on Wednesday, July 30th, 2008. Winners to be determined by random number generation and manly stubble, but mostly that random number thing. The first winner will receive the Fandango certificate, and the next two winners will get free razors. One entry per person, valid email address required, please be courteous and turn off your cell phone while in the theater.
Ready? Go!

The mail lady just brought me a giant package of socks and underwear, and I’m delighted. Really, some days it just doesn’t take that much to make me happy. Ahem.
Anyway, last week I suggested you stock up for school utilizing some codes and deals at Kohls that were expiring. Now today I see that they’ve both extended the free shipping on $75+ offer and issued a new 15% off code, so really, I guess there wasn’t any hurry after all. (Nonetheless, school’s almost here. Get your order in!)
So: If you’re a Kohls’ cardholder, use coupon code MVC1514 for free shipping on any size order and code PICK15BTS for 15% off. For non-cardholders, you can still use code NEW1082 for an extra 10% off.
And then you won’t have to be jealous that I’m sitting here awash in cheap, tiny underpants.

232 of you think that your family stinks. Oh, I kid. Really, it’s just that 232 were dying to win some of the new Febreze. Alas, only three pretty readers shall walk away triumphant and better-smelling.
The random number generator picked Melinda (23), Carolyn (184), and Corey (231). Congratulations! Winners, please check your email and get me your shipping information.
Thanks to all who played, and special thanks to my pals at MS&L for hooking us up with the Febreze goodies.
Another contest? Yes, please! Coming up later today!

I generally dislike kids’ DVDs which are essentially long commercials for this or that product, but I make an except when 1) the kids find them really captivating and 2) they’re free.
Go ahead and sign up for a free GeoTrax DVD and consider this: The time it gives you to shower, uninterrupted, may be worth the little bit of whining about which GeoTrax they need you to buy them, right now, please please please Mommy.
