Get crafty for Christmas with Klutz

Hooray, one of the most popular deals we saw last year at Mamasource is back again this year, and even better—they’re offering three different Klutz bundles for $24 each, with guaranteed delivery in time for Christmas.

That’s a pretty sweet deal, already, but today only you can also apply coupon code GIFTOF15 for 15% off your purchase! That makes each bundle just over $20.

I guess my kids have finally outgrown these, but we have many fond memories of doing Klutz activities together. Or, you know, they have fond memories of doing them and I have fond memories of them being happily occupied. Whatever.

Squishy slimy aliens, yum yum

More price drops in Amazon toy-land, and this time it’s all about the dissecting aliens. As one does. What?

Hey, it’s a perfect gift for anyone whose Christmas list contains “a dissectible alien with a parasite inside of it, plus tools to take it all apart.” And… yeah, I don’t know. Surely this is perfect for some yuck-loving kid, or just the thing for your White Elephant gift exchange.

They’re called Alien Operation Lab, and you can get:
Nash for $7.31 (62% off) $5.99 (68% off)
Tuth for $8.78 (54% off)
or Venox for $8.79 (54% off) $6.15 (68% off)

Happy dissecting!

ThinkFun games markdowns

I feel like Christmas came early this year. Amazon didn’t even wait for the second week in December to start dropping toy prices!

Here’s a bunch of ThinkFun games that just dropped in price—I’ve yet to find the ThinkFun offering that wasn’t a huge hit in our house:
Stenzzles Dogs Puzzle for $3.99 (60% off)
Stenzzles Sports Puzzle for $3.99 (60% off)
Daily Puzzle for $4.99 (50% off)
Mini Mouth Word Game for $4.99 (50% off)
Trango for $7.98 (60% off)

(Of course, anyone who loves ThinkFun knows their very best game is Rush Hour, but the month is young. I’m hoping that one will drop down soon, too.)

Shoot-’em-up, Star Wars style

Regular readers know I’m not a huge fan of toy weapons, but I know not everyone feels the same way. And when you’re talking Amazon toy markdowns, well, I bend my rules a little. Heh.

Here’s some weaponry your Star Wars addict may enjoy:
Star Wars Jango Fett Blaster for $5.99 (50% off)
Star Wars Boba Fett Blaster for $10.76 (62% off)
Star Wars Captain Rex Blaster for $12.24 (56% off)
Star Wars Rebel Trooper Dart Blaster for $13.99 (50% off)

The beauty here is really that these are also excellent gifts for the grown-up geeks in your life, too.

Leggo my bento

Oooooh, if you’re in the market for bento boxes (or—as I like to call them—“here’s a little bit of everything in the hopes you’ll eat something), there’s a boutique full of ’em at great markdowns today at Fab.com. They even have the LEGO ones, which are so adorable I can hardly stand it.

And I just scrolled down and saw the set of “puppy rice bowls.” Dead. I am dead. It’s too much cuteness, people.

Get booted at 6pm today

I think I might need to stop checking 6pm.com. Either that, or I just need to stop ordering things from 6pm. But these two things seem intertwined, somehow. If only I could figure out the connection….

Today’s Holiday Blitz item there (one deep discount, one day only) is the Ukala Sydney Taj High, a.k.a. Yet Another Ugg-like Boot, for just $40 shipped (four colors available). This is a great price on a boot that’s usually over $100, so that’s pretty sweet. In addition, one of their front-page deals is on Bearpaw boots, which—and I know this is heresy in Ugg circles, but I’m going to say it—I vastly prefer to the Ugg/Ukala type sole. Bearpaws have a rubberized sole which I find sturdier overall, whereas Ugg and Ukala use that weird foam-like stuff which I guess is supposed to be more comfortable, but doesn’t seem as durable/weatherproof to me. Some of the Bearpaws start at $40, as well, so look around and see what strikes your fancy.

As for me, it’s been over 70 degrees here this week, so I probably don’t need any super-warm boots. I guess. Hmph.

It’s beginning to look a lot like price drops

Veteran Amazon shoppers know that right around the second week in December, price drops on toys at Amazon begin in earnest. But they start happening in drips and drabs before then, just to let you get warmed up. So while you are obviously still keeping an eye on the Lightning Deals in the meantime, I have a few toy deals for you. (These are particularly good if you’re doing Angel Tree or Toys for Tots or whatever—it couldn’t be simpler to grab some donations without spending very much.)

Robots in disguise? Sure! Pick up Transformers Prime Cyberverse Command Your World Commander Class Series 2 Deadwing for $6.12 (59% off) or Ironhide for $4.91 (67% off).

If Squinkies are more your speed, first please tell me what Squinkies are, then check these deals:
Minnie Mouse Series 1 – Beach with Tiny Toys for $4.99 (55% off)
Minnie Mouse Park Pals Series 2 Bubble Pack for $4.99 (55% off)
Hello Kitty Bubble Pack – Series 6 – Sports with Tiny Toys for $4.99 (58% off)
Boys Bubble Series 5 – Cosmic Defenders for $5.11 (57% off)
Boys Bubble Series 6 – Commando Force for $4.78 (60% off)

We’re just getting warmed up, folks. I can hardly wait.

Go Aero

If you have a teen in the house, chances are you know—and maybe even fear—Aeropostale. (To be clear: I don’t mind shopping them online. But periodically I take my daughter to the outlet store and always emerge somewhat dazed and deafened. I am too old to shop in places where the music is pounding and the crush of young people is overwhelming.) Thankfully, we don’t have to go to the store when they have such good sales online!

Through December 9th, you can use coupon code 50EXTRA to take an extra 50% off already-marked-down clearance items. Shipping is free on your $100+ order, or a flat $7, otherwise. I just noticed this promotion is working over at P.S. by Aeropostale (their sister site for kids), too, which means you can even outfit the little ones and tweens in ultra-trendy duds on the cheap.

And really, you can’t put a price on not having to step foot in the actual store.

If you missed the Bond deal…

… it’s back! Well, sort of.

Last week when the Bond 50: The Complete 22-Film Collection on Blu-ray was in the Gold Box, it was $100 shipped. Today it’s $150 shipped, which isn’t as good as the previous deal, but it’s still $100 cheaper than anyone else has it, so if you’re a die-hard Bond fanatic and missed out last time, there you go.

Thanks to my eagle-eyed brother-in-law for spotting this one. (I’ve been feeling guilty ever since the first deal that he was bummed about missing it. Now we can load up Skype and all watch movies together, 1,000 miles apart!)

Load up your Kindle with Fairies

So, do you happen to have a fairy-crazy kiddo who already has or will be receiving a Kindle this year? I’ve got just the thing—Amazon just marked down several Rainbow Magic Fairies series to just $2.99 apiece. Each series is seven books apiece, so that’s just under $.43/title!

Choose from The Petal Fairies, The Pet Fairies, or The Weather Fairies. Or get them all; at $2.99/set, it’s hardly going to break the bank.
