Make it a Very Threadless Day

Someone was just asking last week when Threadless was going to do another $5 t-shirt sale. (Carrie, was that you?) Ask and ye shall receive! It’s not every T, but sale shirts are conveniently separated into $5, $10 and $15 categories for your perusal. Shop quickly, because I guarantee the $5 will sell out fast.

Free shipping on $75+. Very reasonable shipping, otherwise. And awesome Ts, of course.

Check out the Wednesday sale, then save more

There’s a huge “Appreciation Sale” going on right now at JC Penney, with sales in just about every department. I, of course, went straight to the Clearance tab, then selected “Wednesday Deals,” where I found plenty of tempting items. If you have a little girl going through a princess stage right now, for example, you’ll find about five different princess dress-up outfits for $10 each.

Make it even better: Coupon code 4RELVES will take off another 20%! Shipping to your local store is free, or figure out whether coupon code ORNAMENT—which gives you free shipping on your $25+ order—might be the better deal.

I think a special sale for Wednesdays is really smart, because otherwise… it would just be Wednesday. Obviously.

Smell yummy, stay warm

I’m loving this deal at Ulta today: Right on the splash screen is an offer where if you spend $30+ on a qualifying fragrance, you can get a free luxury robe for free with your purchase! Might be time for a little gift for yourself, for all the hard work you’ve been doing, y’know? (Edited to add: Oooooooh, some shower gels are included in these eligible “fragrances!” Seals the deal for me. Awesome.)

Better still, orders of $25+ ship for free with coupon code 512213. Not a bad way to spend $30 and end up with two great gifts.

Comfy slipper blitz

Are you remembering to check the Holiday Blitz item every day at 6pm.com (click the “Holiday Blitz” icon in the righthand sidebar)? It goes live at 10:00 a.m. Eastern each day. Today it’s some ultra-comfy Deer Stags slippers for just $7.95 (80% off). They’re not exactly what I’d call stylish, but I bet they’re very warm!

This deal is FurReal (sorry)

(Sometimes I can’t help trying to be punny. I get it from my father.)

If you have a kid clamoring for goodies from the FurReal line, prepare to save: Right now Amazon is offering $10 off when you spend $30+ on select items, automatically.

The best deal? For my money, it’s to grab the City Center Play Set ($19.99) and the Whirl Around Playground ($11.99). Both are already well reduced and together with the extra discount it comes out to about $22 for the both of them — about the cost of the cheaper one without any sales.

It would be wrong to buy one of these FurReal sets just to torture my dog, right? I’m sure it would be. I would never do that. It only made me giggle a little to think about it, though.

Stocking stuffers for the grownups (with laundry)

(Yes, it’s going to be an Amazon kind of day, today. I can’t help it.)

It’s December! And that means a brand new crop of Amazon grocery coupons. Remember, coupons on your coupon page will change when you hit refresh. So take a look at that page and see if you have a coupon code for Tide Stain Remover Pens. No? Refresh, baby! Refresh until you find it. Click and it will offer you three different options to place into your cart. Don’t choose any of them, because what you want to buy is the Tide To Go 3-Count Package, but you want to buy it via Subscribe and Save for the additional discount.

So:
1) Find the coupon through the first link. Click on the coupon but not any product.
2) Click this link and then choose to add the pens to your cart via Subscribe & Save (you can cancel any time, but I always choose the 6-month interval to give myself plenty of time to cancel).
3) At checkout, you’ll see a $1 coupon discount, and a $1.03 S&S discount, but then you can also apply coupon code LAUNDRY7 for another $1.03 off.

The result is 3 Tide Pens to your door for under $4. And stocking stuffers the grown-ups can actually use.

Hi-ho horsey, away!

This next deal is a great example of how Amazon likes to tuck genuine sales in amongst their inflated “original prices.” Right now they have three different Plan Toy rocking horses on special; Plan Toys is a quality, eco-friendly brand that uses organic, recycled rubber wood to build their products. (I also think the wood is licked by fairies, but that’s kind of a secret, so let’s keep that between you and me.)

Anyway, there are three options from which to choose, all of which claim to be either 43% or 50% off the MSRP. In reality, it’s hard to find Plan Toys stuff on sale, so any sale is certainly good, but the Arabian Rocking Horse is about a third off where you’ll find it elsewhere, the Neo-Classic Rocking Horse is genuinely about 40% off, and the Lusitano Rocking Horse really is barely marked down. Even though all three claim to be about half off.

Moral of the story: Pay attention to the “great” prices and choose wisely. (Also: Be a little suspicious of products licked by fairies.)

More family video game fun

Today is day two of Amazon’s 17 Days of Video Game Deals, and today it’s a slew of family-friendly titles for your pleasure. They’re kicking it off with a Gold Box filled with Just Dance 2 for only $26, which is good news for some of you and annoying news for those of you who stalked the lightning deal on it a few days ago.

Hey, I don’t set the prices, I just report on ’em.

I also see the first two and the most recent Raving Rabbids games (you know how I love Raving Rabbids!), plus there’s Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games (one of my kids’ faves) for 40% off. Lots of great options, is my point.

(Also: I got ten boxes from the UPS guy yesterday. Eight of them were from Amazon. I, uh, maybe need to stop shopping, now.)

Kohls, let’s cuddle

Leave it to Kohls to have a giant 2-day sale—complete with Kohls Cash—right after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Ha! You have to admire that. They’re, like, some sort of unstoppable sale machine.

Try this one on for size: They have an assortment of cuddly fleece throws in various patterns marked down to just $6 apiece. (I apologize for not having a direct link—the Kohls site is giving me fits today. Search for home classic fleece throw to find them.) Coupon code CONTACTFR is still working for everyone to get free shipping, and if you have a Kohls card you can add code MVC15FALL for another 15% off.

Not that you probably need any help spending your money at Kohls, but I couldn’t resist.

Jewelry and tableware, a perfect match

Listen, I don’t claim to understand the concept behind Ross-Simons; it seems to me that a store that sells jewelry and tableware to the exclusion of almost everything else is… well… a little weird. There, I said it.

Nevertheless, they have some interesting items. And some good sales. And today and tomorrow, you can use coupon code 30FREESHIP for an additional 30% off your order and free shipping.

It works on clearance, and they also carry some very nice Christmas ornaments. Plus, hey, maybe all that’s on your list is jewelry and tableware. I don’t judge.
