I know it can be a little hard to think about a hot drinks, just now (currently it’s 6:15 and a downright chilly 72, but don’t worry—the forecast says it’ll be 96 later on!), but eventually the weather will cool off and a nice hot mug of something will be the order of the day. Also—for those of you who like to plan ahead—a thermos and some hot chocolate mix is one of my go-to teacher gifts.

In my 12+ years as a parent, I’ve learned that the fastest way to embarrass my child is to pretend to rock out to her preferred music. Friday, how did you get here?
I, um, seem to have misplaced Thursday. Sorry about that! It wasn’t intentional. The pesky shortish people living in my house were all needy yesterday, what with their, “Mom, it’s time to go to Open House” and “Mom, we want to go swimming” and such. Sheesh. I thought I’d have more time to work, and then it was bedtime. Very curious.
