We’ll always have shoes
I apologize for all of the 6pm.com deals this week. Wait; no I don’t. I’m kind of having a week, and pretty shoes make me feel better. Hopefully they’re bettering your week, too.
Today there’s Gabriella Rochas for $7, Rockports for $15, and Deer Stags for the whole family (hint: boots!). Plus other deals.
Maybe next week I’ll not need so many shoe deals, but right now, they’re an awesome distraction. You’re welcome.
Alert the media
Wow, in a stunning move—and for perhaps the first time since they implemented the section—I think I can declare all of today’s Target Daily Deals to be pretty awesome. They’ve got a fancy electronic chess set, a bocce set, a fire pit, a simulated sun lamp, and even some cute throw pillows. Be still, my heart!
Don’t forget—all daily deals ship for free, and if you’re buying more than $50 worth (like if you go for that chess set, which by the way has great reviews on Amazon as well as costing much more from anyone else), add the item to your cart, then click through this link to automagically get an additional $5 off.
I may need to snap up that chess set for my kid. Saves me from having to play with him, which is good, because he surpassed my chess ability right around the second time he played.
It’s festive! It’s bacon!
One year my husband bought me bacon salt for my birthday. Because he’s romantic. And I loved the bacon salt so, although it turns out that it’s not gluten-free, which is sad. (But it is vegetarian; go figure.)
Naturally, I still think there’s no better stocking-stuffer than bacon salt (I’m pretty sure my son would sleep with a bottle under his pillow, if we let him), so imagine my glee to see that right now Amazon is offering big savings on bacon salt products. This includes baconnaise and bacon-flavored lip balm!
Prices are already reduced; apply coupon code BACONS35 for an additional 15% off, and buy via Subscribe & Save for another 15% off. The result? Bacony goodness, on the cheap.
Mmmmm… bacon lip balm…. Oh, sorry. My inner Homer Simpson got out for a minute, there.
How did I almost miss this?
I guess I wasn’t paying attention; but right now every order ships for free at Maidenform. That’s the good news! The bad news is that it’s only today. Whoops.
But if you are shopping today, make it even better—use coupon code 409BBQ to take 20% off your order, too. That coupon’s good through mid-December, just in case you come across this post after the free shipping has ended.
Sorry for the short notice. I guess I should shop for bras more often. (You’re welcome!)
Ignore the mannequins
I need to go on record as stating that the recent spate of creepy talking mannequins in the commercials for Old Navy really irritate me. There, I said it.
Their affordable clothes my kids like, however, do not annoy me at all. What a conundrum.
Through November 24th, use coupon code ONSAVE15 to take 15% off your $75+ order or 25% off of $100+. Shipping is automatically free on orders of $50+, right now, too.
Just keep your eyes on the clothes, and away from the mannequins.
Last day, sort of
We all know Kohls is synonymous with “sale,” but they do cycle through various promotions. Today is the last day for the current batch—the last day for free shipping on your $75+ order, the last day for Kohls card holders to use coupon code KCNOV15 for 15% off and code FREE4MVC to get free shipping on any size order. (Will another sale come along? Certainly. But if you want something now, there you go.) Code NEW8477 should still be working for 10% off for everyone, too.
I’ll tell you that if you’ve been thinking about a Keurig coffee maker, their current sale prices are quite good, particularly when combined with a coupon. And there’s tons of other stuff on sale, too. Obviously.
Here’s a handy tip, though: Don’t order a Keurig for your mother-in-law for Christmas and try to ship it to relatives in her hometown but somehow end up shipping it to yourself. You’re welcome. (Though maybe the universe is trying to tell me I need a Keurig…?)
Here Comes the Sun
We’ve had a Wii for a little over a year now, and I’ve been able to resist purchasing Rock Band for various reasons. The kids are not quite old enough. It’ll take up a lot of space. I’m too dorky to know most of the songs, anyway.
But now Amazon has The Beatles: Rock Band marked down to $99, and I’m about to cave. Get the game, two guitars, drums, and a microphone. And, of course, all the Beatles goodness you can belt out from your couch.
(Psssst! I am the walrus. Don’t tell.)
Doodle me this
I’m always kind of sad when my kids outgrow coloring books. With both kids, though, they sort of get “too old” for a little while, and then the doodling begins. My son is worse than my daughter—you simply don’t leave a pencil out unless you’re prepared to find creatures on his napkin, animals in his notebooks, and villains on scraps from his pockets.
Which is why I’m about to stock up on these, which appear to pretty much be coloring books for big kids: They’re Doodle books, where your job is to finish or otherwise embellish the pictures. Genius! Choose from any of the following, each just $5.18 apiece (and they’ll ship free with $25+ or Prime):
Do You Doodle?
The Boys’ Doodle Book
The Girls’ Doodle Book
Beautiful Doodles
(I’m hoping this will save my kitchen table, but I’m trying to be realistic.) (Also? Stocking stuffers, baby!)
Let Santa know
If you celebrate Christmas, and if you do stockings, chances are there are certain things that Santa always brings. Right? Right. In our house, Santa is a big fan of socks. Santa is concerned about toe warmth, apparently. Also Santa brings ornaments every year, preferably ones that somehow reflect the past year in a meaningful way.
Now, it’s been a while since I had children small enough to insist on watching the same movie over and over again, but we have many years’ worth of ornaments of beloved characters from whatever video was that year’s “Agaaaaaaaain!”
And today Disney’s Deal of the Day is half off storybook ornament sets. Not only do you get a set of ornaments that all go together, but they come in an adorable “book.” The cute, it hurts me. Plus, they have Nightmare Before Christmas in there along with Mickey and the princesses and whatnot. Nice.
Don’t forget—order $89+ and you can use coupon code SHIP89 for free shipping. I’m sure Santa will be happy to hear about it.
Ommmmm
Have you checked out the Target Daily Deals today? They have an adorable koi fish yoga mat for $13 shipped, which is a nice little deal if you need one. I’m pretty sure I paid $18 on sale for the last one I bought. And frankly I wouldn’t kick that pink patent clutch ($15!) out of bed for eating crackers, either.
Though why a purse would be either 1) in my bed or 2) eating crackers kind of confuses me….
