Public television makes you smarter

ShopPBS.OrgRight now the PBS store is offering a Buy 2 Titles, Get 1 Free promotion in their DVDs. Just pick two from the same category, and then you’ll get a bonus in that same category. (Click through and have a look at what the free ones are; there’s too many categories and titles to list here.)

This offer is good through April 20th, 2007. Go get smart.

Even better

Remember this? (The infamous post where apparently a reader thought I’d turned to peddling unmentionables, because that’s the sort of strumpet I am.) Did you feel left out, ladies? Never fear!

Now you can play, too!

(Thanks, Ben. You guys are wacky.)

Find the shamrock, save some bucks

Are you an outdoorsy person? No? Just like cute clothes/shoes? Right now in the
Altec Clearance Section
you’ll find that many of their already discounted items sport a green shamrock in the item information. Every item with a shamrock can be gotten for an additional 50% off with coupon code LUCKY50. (The site is running slow due to the sale, so be patient.)

Orders over $45 ship for free, too.

Hey, it’s easier than finding a pot of gold, and there are no pesky leprechauns to deal with. Thanks, Rachel!

One lump or two?

I have to say that, in general, I really like the stuff offered at the Improvements Deal of the Day. They have some great bargains in there.

But go check out today’s offerings, and look closely at that toilet tissue canistericon that’s on special today.

Is it just me, or does that look exactly like the sort of canister one would have on the kitchen counter, filled with coffee or tea or sugar? Because… ewwww.

It’s beginning to look a lot like. . . Easter

If you’re already thinking about Easter, gold star for you. I’m sure you will never find yourself at the Dollar Store on a Saturday night, desperately seeking packages of Peeps which aren’t already hard as rocks. (Not that that’s ever happened to anyone I know. Ahem.)

Now through April 14th, FamilyChristian.com is running all sort of specials, plus they have two coupons available.

To receive $15 off your $75+ purchase, use coupon code 1143296.

If you’d rather receive free shipping on your $40+ order, use coupon code 1143295.

And if you’ve never shopped them before and are feeling put-off by the name, don’t be. Yes, they carry bibles and other Christian items. But they also carry non-denominational books and movies and lots of other stuff.

(But no marshmallow Peeps. Sorry.)

Overlook the scary models and go for the deals

Every now and then I develop a little pet peeve about an online store. It doesn’t have to be something huge. For example, although they have great deals, Classic Closeouts features some of the scariest models I’ve ever seen. I don’t know why.

But if you can get past that, you might want to do some shopping there, because through March 13th, you can get free shipping on any size order with coupon code BOXFREE.

Just don’t look directly at the freaky girls in bikinis.

Rack it, roast it

Now you know, if you’ve been reading me for any time at all, that I generally skip deals which involve rebates. Some stores are notorious for offering them and not honoring them, and I just can’t be bothered to gamble with my hard-earned money.

However, this deal may be worth the trouble.

This Farberware covered roaster is currently $29.99 (75% off), and offers a $20 mail-in rebate. And from the buzz it looks like this is a rebate that actually comes.

Heck, this is a pretty nice roaster for $30. But it’s a stupendous roaster for $10!

Free child reducer

Oh, wait. My bad. That’s not right. It’s actually free wrinkle reducer.

Pffft. Same thing.

(Not that you need this. No, no. You look fabulous. But some of us… well… let’s just say that stress does not become us.)
