You know I can’t resist a Scooba deal

This one is only a good deal if you have more shopping to do, but I’ll put it out there:

Right now at Brookstone, you can get a free $100.00 Brookstone Gift Card with the purchase of the Scooba Floor Washing Robot for just $298. And if you can find something small to add to your order and get the total up over $300, you can use coupon code AFFEB to take another $30 off.

That’s a pretty good deal, not to mention a great excuse to buy some more cool gadgets….

Best. Bluetooth. Ever.

I recently got a new cell phone, and it makes phone calls and updates my calendar and checks my email and occasionally washes my car. It’s a marvelous phone. But the very best part is that I am now Bluetooth-enabled, which means the days of undoing my seatbelt in the car and strangling myself with my earpiece cord are behind me. Thankfully.

After trying multiple earpieces, I settled on the previous generation of this Jabra headset. I love mine very much, although I would’ve gotten this BT500 if it’d been this cheap when I got mine. This one is a bit lighter than the one I have (which is still quite light). At $29.99 with free shipping it’s a steal.

I swear to you that although my ears appear to be normal, they are apparently freakish in some way; all of the other headsets I tried would not stay in my ear. This design is brilliant. Not only does it stay, I actually forget that I’m wearing it. And then I realize I’ve become one of those people wandering around like a cyborg with a flashing light in my ear. Whoops.

Fido wants a Valentine, too

Perhaps this Valentine’s Day, the big question on your mind is: Why in the world did I adopt an animal which requires food that comes in 60-pound bags?
Shop at PetCo

(I’m not judging. It happens to the best of us.)

If that sounds familiar, you might want to shop PetCo online and either take 10% off your total order with coupon code affreg or get free shipping on your $60+ order with coupon code valentine. They have all kinds of treats on sale, and the nice delivery guy will bring it right to your door. (Offers expire February 15th, 2007.)

Something for every geek

Every now and then Overstock gives its affiliates a few special deals, because we’re pretty. And then you, by extension, get to be pretty! Er, I mean, you get to partake in the deals. You’re already pretty.

I’m particularly loving this batch, because it pretty much covers the three major geek groups. It’d be a little tight to get these in time for Valentine’s Day (though you could always order and give an I.O.U.!), but I’m guessing you could come up with an excuse for one (or more) of these great bargains.

For the action movie geek: Get the Indiana Jones movie collection on DVD, all four movies, for just $30.31.

For the serious movie geek: Get the Godfather movie collection on DVD, all three movies and over three hours of bonus footage, for just $29.91.

For the gamer geek: Get the World of Warcraft Burning Crusade Expansion Pack for just $33.49.

All of these offerings ship for just $1.40 apiece, and these special prices are good through Friday, February 16th, 2007. So go ahead—make yourself popular, and/or get someone out of your hair for eight or more hours. Either way.

I start every day with a cup of tea

I’m not really lucid in the morning until I’ve had my tea, and it has nothing to do with the caffeine. It’s just my little ritual that signals my brain that it is, in fact, time to wake up.

Now you can get some free tea, and even grow your own tea! This would be fun for the kids, but heck, growing stuff is fun no matter what your age. So go get your very own Herbal Expedition Kit and shine up your green thumb.

Talk amongst yourselves

I’ll give you a topic: Anna Nicole Smith—did that really need to be headline news?

Oh, wait. That’s not a very interesting topic. Let me try again.

The Amazon Friday Sale—good deals this week, or more of the same?

Discuss.

Affordable kiddie chic

Faithful (and pretty) reader Missy T writes:

Dear Pretty Mir…

Our family is soon to grow to 6. The adults will now be outnumbered 2:1.

Since you are so savvy, as well as pretty, which online stores do you think are the best places to find somewhat inexpensive AND hip/stylish/really cute kids clothes?

My wee ones ranges from in-utero to 7.

Many thanks for any suggestions you can pass along!

First of all, congratulations on your impending addition! I’ve been outnumber for years and I highly recommend it, if only because when you’re hiding, there’s a greater likelihood of any given child finding another child to torment rather than looking for you. read more…

Pretty things at Macy’s

So it’s home sale time at Macy’s again—their biggest home sale of the season, in fact. Spend $125 and get free shipping with coupon code SENDFREE. Coupon is good through February 13th, 2007.

After all, why make your sweetheart breakfast in bed when you could give him a professional grade wafflemaker, instead? (Wait, better yet: Buy the wafflemaker, then tell him to make you breakfast.)
