Eco products at Big Box Store prices
So, it’s no secret that I’ve been having a torrid affair with Groupon. Heh. One of my favorite deals so far is back again today, and last time I think I didn’t even recommend it because I found it late at night right before it expired. Anyway, today if you check out the Boise Groupon, you can get $70 to Eco Earth Manor for just $35, plus when you redeem your Groupon, you’ll get free shipping.
I’ve found the service there to be excellent—Eco Earth Manor appears to be run by the nicest people on the planet—and their products are amazing. I’d love to buy all eco-friendly stuff, all the time, but rarely feel like I can afford it. But at what is essentially half off, you don’t need an excuse. Go forth and get cool, eco-friendly stuff at incredibly affordable prices.
A decidedly un-scary price
Hey, did you happen to notice that today’s Amazon Gold Box holds the Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection for just $51 shipped? 14 classic films in all their terrifying glory, at a price that’s not at all scary.
(I saw The Birds when I was about 12 and it completely freaked me out. But in the best possible way.)
This would be a fantastic gift for your favorite scary film fiend. Or if your children need to be scared straight. (Think about it—after they watch these, a single stuffed crow in the corner of their room…?) (I would never do that, of course.) (Probably.)
Hey, it’s another one
Old Navy‘s been playing pretty fast and loose with the coupons lately, but I’m not complaining. Even though their splash page today features humans instead of mannequins, but those humans have been made up to look almost as creepy as the creepy mannequins. Ahem.
Anyway, you have until Thursday (October 21st) to use coupon code ONSTYLE25 to take 25% off your entire order, regardless of size. It should work on everything except “Everyday Steal,” which means it works on sale and clearance, too.
And who else is going to support my plain t-shirt habit for so little money? That’s right.
Here, kid—have some energy
You know I’m a fan of homemade over pre-packaged, but sometimes you need to be able to grab and go. So how about a 24-pack of Clif Kids Organic ZBars for just over $10 shipped? Sounds like the price is right to me, and with three yummy varieties, no HFCS or yucky stuff, and coming out to about $.42/bar, I’m all over this one.
Buy via Subscribe & Save to get the cheaper price and free shipping. And then whatever you do, don’t taste them yourself. If the reviews are any indication, you might end up hiding them from your kids. Heh.
Scary shirts!
Just in time for Halloween, Threadless is offering all of their “scary shirts” for just $10 apiece, plus they’re offering a $5 mystery “trick or tee,” too!
The deal’s on for two weeks, or until they run out. You’d have to be very silly to be scared of this deal.
Take me out to the movies
(Okay, fine; the song is “take me out to the ballgame,” but I would much rather go see a movie than watch baseball.)
Today’s Orlando Groupon is six movie tickets for just $30 (by way of Weekly Cinema; it’s easy, I promise), which is a great excuse to pre-empt your knee-jerk “We’ll see it when it comes out on DVD” response, yes? Why, I can remember when movie tickets were regularly $3.50. But we had to ride our brontosauruses (brontosaurusi?) to the theater, back then.
Once again, Groupon makes me wonder how we ever saved money before they came along.
Gotta be…
Long-time readers know that I’m a terrible sucker for all things Veggie Tales. My kids have outgrown them, now, but I will always remember the days of my daughter begging for “mo yoonyer agaragus?” fondly. (I don’t think Junior Asparagus minds having his name mangled. He’s very tolerant, that way.)
Also, I am still waiting for my water buffalo.
Anyway! Particularly as the holidays draw closer, the best place to find all things Veggie Tales is always Family Christian. At least count they had… oh, about a billion DVDs and CDs available.
Of course, they also have a few new products. Like… Veggie Bands (never let it be said they don’t keep up with the latest fads). And my son would’ve gone positively nuts for this Veggie Express train set, back in the day.
Family Christian’s prices are pretty good, anyway, but let me sweeten the deal for you: Use coupon code 122501301 for another 25% off your purchase. Shipping is very reasonable, too—it’s early enough that you can still choose economy, and that starts at just $3/order.
P.S. Cebuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!
For your junior rocker, er, rockette
I’m having trouble believing this one isn’t a price mistake, but right now Amazon has the Daisy Rock Debutante Rock Candy Guitar for just $80 $88 (Amazon price flux strikes again!) shipped—a good $120 $112 cheaper than I’ve seen it anywhere else.
(This one is definitely for the girls, unless your boy is into pink glitter….)
Daisy Rock is known for awesome electric guitars that deliver both performance and style for girls who just wanna rock. And I see only a few of these left in stock, so jump on it if you’re in the market for a girly guitar.
The perfect excuse
Did you know that 6pm.com carries Halloween costumes? Or that they’re all on sale today? You could totally be doing your sworn parental duty for the kids when a pair of really cute shoes falls into your shopping basket.
Stranger things have happened, I’m sure.
(And in case you’re wondering, yes, that’s exactly how my mind works.)
Vroom vroom
If you own a Wii and don’t yet have this, or if you think you’ll be buying a Wii for this year’s holiday extravaganza, run (don’t walk!) over to Amazon to pick up Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel for just $33 shipped.
I paid $50 for this game and it was worth every penny. But I think you will still enjoy it at this reduced price.
