To Target, and beyond

Have you seen Toy Story 3 yet? My kids kept asking me why I was crying. (I told them to hush up and stop growing. They were very confused.) I admit it: I’m an unabashed fan of the whole trio of Toy Story movies. Even though my kids are well beyond wanting the movie-themed toys.

If you still have little ones, though, first go hug them and put some bricks on their heads so they can’t grow, then go check out today’s Target Daily Deals, all of which are Toy Story themed. Code TOEY738U should still be working for 10% off, and as always, Deals of the Day ship for free.

I’m just kidding about the bricks. They don’t work at all.

Free 2-day shipping on orders of $49+, automatically (or on $25+ if you add in something from Soap.com while you shop).

Totally navigational. Dude.

Still in the market for a GPS unit? Or maybe you’re ready for an upgrade? Today’s Amazon Gold Box deal is a Garmin Nuvi 295W with a camera and Wifi capability. I’m not sure why you’d want that stuff on your GPS, but… oh, wait. I see. You can use this bad boy in your car, or you can take it geocaching (once you find the cache you can take a picture, I guess!), and then you can walk into any WiFi hotspot and check your email. That’s… kind of awesome, really, to get all of that functionality along with a standard GPS.

Great reviews, and $150 shipped, today only. Ability to hold it up to your ear and say, “Can you hear me now?” so as to completely embarrass your children is included for free, I think.

All for you

I’m actually on vacation, this week, but certain things still have to be done, like I still have to check on 6pm.com every day because of my deep concern for your fashion needs. I would never shop online from here at the beach, not even when they have a whole slew of Betsey Johnson clothing for up to 70% off, like today. Probably.

Also I would probably not care that today they also have Clarks and BCBG and Columbia on similar discounts. But I might point them out to you, because I care. (And also because the longer I work, the longer I can justify hanging out in here with the air conditioning.) (That’ll be our little secret.)

Like to play with fire?

I think the best gift I ever got as a kid was a magnifying glass… and the accompanying lesson about how you could use it to set things on fire. Um, that sentence looks really incriminating, now that I go back and read it. I just liked setting leaves on fire, and stuff. Um. I’m going to stop talking about this, now.

If you like fire, and have been waiting for a deal on a backyard fire pit, today may be your day. Over at Target there are two deeply discounted options—first, there’s the cast iron brick-finish fire pit for $60 (formerly $170), or alternatively, there’s the ornate fire bowl for $52 (formerly $150). And don’t forget coupon code TOEY738U for another 10% off!

Unfortunately, you can’t get free shipping on either of these, so be prepared to spend another $15-$20 on that, but still. Even with shipping, that’s a huge discount.

And it’s a lot more socially acceptable to have a pretty fire pit than to be down on your knees with a magnifying glass. I mean, I assume.

The latest styles, at sale prices

It’s right about in the middle of July when I become completely disgusted with all of my warm-weather clothing and start wishing it was cool out again so that I can wear my jeans and sweaters. (No, really. By the time July comes to Georgia, jeans are a distant memory….) But I never shop for Fall clothes when they first arrive in the stores (about now), because I’m never going to pay full price. Obviously.

But Old Navy is clearly trying to make me crack, because for the next three days, I can use coupon code ONNEW30 to take 30% off all new arrivals. Which means I can get a couple of cute Fall things now, and save while I do it. Plus, the Fundamentals Sale is still going on, so there’s that, too. I’m a goner.

Look like (you spent) a million bucks

Got a baby shower or two coming up? Check out this P’Kolino Puzzle Stacker at Amazon—it’s currently under $15 and eligible for Prime or Free Super Saver Shipping.

The regular price on many Amazon items is extremely inflated, but the listed regular price on this one ($38.50) is actually accurate. P’Kolino is known for quality wooden toys without any toxic paints or treatments, and just look at the craftsmanship on this thing. The only way you’re going to find something nicer is if you get one that’s handmade by some Amish guy in the woods, and I guarantee he’ll charge you three times as much for it. (No offense to the Amish. They are fine woodworkers, is all I meant.)

I have maybe had too much caffeine today. But this is a great deal.

Saturday deals

Good morning! My husband kindly got up earlier than me today and tried to let me sleep in. Know what is not conducive to sleeping in? A 12-pound dog body-slamming your door with a nearly visible thought-bubble over her head that says, “I’m awake! What aren’t you? Do you need rescuing? I’m coming!” (Thank goodness I was able to get up and get to the laundry and such that much earlier. Ahem.) And how is your morning going…?

Let’s see what’s on tap this fine Saturday!

Have the candy, hold the artificial gunk—my favorite hard candy, Yummy Earth, is marked down at Amazon again. Get a 30-ounce container of lollipops for just under $9 shipped when you buy via Subscribe and Save. That’s 150 scrumptious pops for less than 6 cents apiece, with no artificial anything.

The Amazon Gold Box has a great deal today, too—it’s an Iomega 500GB portable drive for just $70.

It’s another great Christmas in July sale; this time it’s Little Tikes who’s bringing the savings, and if you have somewhere to hide a big box, this may be the cheapest way to get that plastic monstrosity your tot has been wanting. (Hey, I understand. I lived with a plastic kitchen in my kitchen for years.) Try code CCBD2010 for an extra 10% off, too.

And it wouldn’t be Saturday without Macy’s bringing another One Day Sale, though today’s has the added bonuses of an extra 25% off already-reduced Summer Clearance, and huge savings on home items.

Feel like eating out tonight? Hit Restaurant.com and you may be eating out tonight and traveling cheap later this year—through July 19th, use coupon code VACATION to save 60% on your certificate purchase and score an Orbitz bonus. So, your $25 dining certificate is going to cost you just a cool $4, plus you’ll get a code good for $50 off an Orbitz flight+hotel package! Restrictions do apply on how you can use the Orbitz code (must be booked by July 31st, must include a 4-night stay, etc.), but really, if you were looking to book some travel, this may be worth it just for the travel discount.

I’m off to clean something, I think. Don’t be jealous.

Hey hey, Friday

I went to an actual store yesterday. It was so… annoying. Remind me not to do that again, will you? I want to stick to shopping from home in my pajamas, the way God intended for lazy people like me.

On the flip side, yesterday my Soap.com order arrived, just two days after I’d ordered! (I got to order before they officially opened, because I’m special.) (No, just because they were hoping I would test it out and love it and tell you about it. Mission accomplished!) Don’t forget that you can use code WANT4632 for 15% off your first order, and shipping on $49+ is always free. I had no trouble getting up to $49. (I found Ziploc freezer bags to be excellent “fillers” once I got close to the limit, heh.)

I’ve just about given up on the Amazon Friday Sale, but they are having a Summer Toy Event that’s probably worth checking out (particularly if yesterday’s Hasbro deal got you in the mood to start holiday shopping). I see some excellent prices, particularly on select Plan Toys, which don’t tend to go on sale all that often.

Today’s deals at 6pm.com go beyond the usual shoe steals—though they have those as well—and also extend to some really, really cute pajamas and even some pretty lingerie. Further proof that you can get just about anything at 6pm, I guess.

My love for everything LittleMissMatched continues unabated, and right now they have $5 flip flops and a their Summer Sale is slashing prices right and left. You should me a girl who doesn’t love their wacky styles and I’ll show you… ummm… a boy. There’s your gender stereotyping for the day, I guess. (No hate mail! Just kidding!)

Okay, Friday, I have to go do some stuff. But I’m keeping my eye on you, and I may be back later.
