There’s still time for stocking stuffers!

Still scrambling to complete your holiday shopping? Get on over to Bealls today—they’re guaranteeing shipping before Christmas, plus just about everything on the site is an additional 20% off, and that’s on top of big sales already happening.

Search on jelly belly if you have a jellybean lover on your list; they’ve got a bunch of things already 50% off, and then another 20% off in your cart. (Pssst! Do you remember what I always tell you to buy at Bealls when they have a sale like this? Tervis. Lots of items on sale already, plus eligible for the discount.)

The icing on the cake? The site lists free shipping on $50+, but you can apply coupon code FINALHOURS to get free shipping on any size order. So if you really need those Darth Vader jellybeans and nothing else, you’re all set.

Super food, super free

I have become an absolute smoothie freak since getting a new blender (why no, it doesn’t take much to make me happy, why do you ask?), and this deal made me positively giddy:

Amazon has this 8.5 ounce Berry Green Super Food mix (that’s 30 servings!) available for $19.95, which is the typical price. But! Apply coupon code CX3Q2CBZ and it’ll take off $18.95, making your total just $1!

And if you’re like me, and you have Prime, you’ll opt for the No-Rush Shipping credit of $1, which essentially makes it free.

Pro tip if you find that you hate the various protein powders and smoothie mixes out there: Don’t have ’em plain, mix them with a strong flavor you enjoy (frozen berries, peanut butter) and you may find them more palatable.

If you loved Narnia…

… you might want to snap up this great Kindle deal at Amazon on C.S. Lewis’ Space Trilogy—it’s currently just $3.99 for all three books.

This is a sci-fi/fantasy set and not meant for kids (although one could make the argument that the Narnia books aren’t really for kids, either!), but if you enjoy C.S. Lewis’ writing, this should fit the bill. And three books for $4 hardly requires any consideration, in my world.

Nordies and Amazon, even better together

If you love shopping at Nordstrom and you also love shopping at Amazon—or if you have gift cards to either place on your shopping list—here’s a bundle you can’t refuse: Right now Amazon is offering a $100 Nordstrom gift card with a bonus $20 Amazon gift card for just $100 total. Simple enough, and that’s $20 to spend you didn’t have, before. (Also bear in mind that if you’re cheap, like me, the Nordies card works at Nordstrom, sure, but also at Nordstrom Rack!)

Choose from three different patterns/options: Nordstrom card in a box, same Nordstrom card but not in a box, or shining star pattern Nordstrom card. Whichever you choose, you already saved $20. It’s like magic.

Aprons for all, and all for aprons

I admit to liking a bit of kitsch in the kitchen. Me, I wear my Wonder Woman apron when I bake—my sister-in-law gave it to me one Christmas and it remains pretty much my favorite gift ever—but I know some people would rather go with something a little more refined.

So whenever there’s a sale at Flirty Aprons, I’m all over it, because (despite the cutesy name) their stuff is really fabulous and well made and you can get coordinating adult and child aprons, too, which is pretty much a reason to have kids, right there. (Check out the kids’ elf and snowman aprons. Adorable!)

Right now you can shop and use coupon code HOLIDAY65 for 65% off and free shipping on every order. (It doesn’t work on the already-deeply-discounted deal of the day, but worked on everything else I tested it on.) They have aprons (obviously) as well as bibs and oven mitts. At 65% off, it’s a total no-brainer.

Another book promo

If you missed the last one, or—like me—there’s just another book you’d like to save on, Amazon is offering another coupon. Right now you can apply code 25OFFBOOK to any book to save 25%, for a maximum discount of $10.

Code will work on a single item, once per account. It expires on December 14th. And (perhaps best of all?) it will work on pre-orders. Enjoy!

Ready to put it in OVERDRIVE?

Many thanks to alert (and pretty!) reader Liza for pointing out that one of this season’s hottest gifts, the Anki OVERDRIVE Starter Kit is currently just $120 at Amazon (when the cheapest I can find it anywhere else is around $150). Fun for the entire family, this multi-configuration race track and programmable supercars are engaging for all ages, plus you’re learning about programming and strategy while you go.

I wouldn’t say this is a pick-it-up-on-a-whim sort of thing, but if you’ve been looking for a deal, I doubt we’ll see a better price before the holidays.

Clothes and toys, toys and clothes

I don’t know what your approach to Christmas gifts is (assuming you do Christmas gifts, or some approximation thereof), but for years we did the whole “Jesus got three gifts and so do you” thing. Then we transitioned to the somewhat pithy “something they want / something they need / something to wear / something to read” thing. I like both of those approaches for keeping the Gift Sprawl to a minimum.

Once I reach completion on holiday gift shopping, though, I find myself picking up some more great deals while I tell myself that it’s for birthdays or next Christmas. It may be a bit of an illness, but I’m okay with that.

This is all preamble to explaining why, with Target’s deals today being Buy One, Get One 50% off on toys and clothing, clearly I had to do just a little more shopping. I mean, obviously. Plus, spend $50 on kids’ clothes and you’ll get a $10 gift card.

Can I just say I’m loving their free shipping for the holidays? I keep placing orders with them of $5 or $10 and it all ships for free. Score!

Keep it down, kids

Okay, so, my kids are now teenagers and I no longer get to give them lectures about how they’re going to ruin their hearing with headphones turned up too loud, I guess. (I suppose I could still do it, but they’re too busy listening to other stuff, they wouldn’t hear me.) If you have smallish kids who use headphones for iPads and the like, though, you should probably be using volume-limiter headphones, because—and I don’t know if you know this—kids aren’t all that bright when it comes to their own safety. (I know! I was surprised, too.)

The good news is that these Kidrox Volume-Limited Foam Headphones have great reviews and are highly-rated for both comfort and function. The better news is that right now, the red, green, and orange ones are down to just $12.99 (their lowest price ever) at Amazon right now. Note that these are sized for children as young as 3, so if you have a kid with an enormous melon-head they may be too small.

For the average tech-savvy 3-9-year-old, though, these are a parent’s dream come true. Perfect under the tree or in a stocking (especially if you’re a little cruel and want them to think they’re getting a new electronic device, haha).

That’s an ugly, I mean, nice, sweater

I’m not really sure when the whole “ugly Christmas sweater chic” thing began—perhaps it came on the coattails of mustache wax and man-buns—but for whatever reason, it’s definitely A Thing. My oldest has been begging for one. Of course, there are plenty of hilarious ones out there, but at prices I wouldn’t pay for even a “regular” sweater. So. She waits.

Until today! Today the Amazon Gold Box holds, among other things, an assortment of deeply-discounted ugly Christmas sweaters. Now I can buy ridiculous clothing items that make no sense to me for a lot less, which is key, because this way I get to make my kid happy even if I think she’s ridiculous. Win/win.
