Happy National Pancake Day!

Whoops! I probably should’ve posted this one last night. Anyway, today (February 12th, 2008) is National Pancake Day, and that means you have until 10:00 this morning tonight (10 p.m. is hard to read before you’ve had your coffee) to run on over to IHOP for a free short stack of pancakes. Find your local IHOP here.

National Pancake Day is a fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network, so if you do go have breakfast there today, please consider making a donation to this worthy cause.

Coldwater Creek coupon

Ask and ye shall receive. I was just saying the other day that I thought there were no current coupons, and *poof* one arrived in my inbox. (Now, about that million dollars I’ve been wanting….)

Anyway, you know the drill: Get the best deals in the Coldwater Creek Outlet, though I certainly can’t stop you from shopping them at regular price if you must. Either way, use coupon code WXP1155 for $30 off your $100+ purchase. Expires February 24th, 2008.

(I love posting these for every mom like me who always scoops up the deals for the kids and everyone else. You deserve a little bargain, too!)

More book steals for the kids

You already know that I’m pretty much over the “goody bag” concept for birthday parties, and that—when I can—I prefer to give each child a single book or toy, instead. Last week I found a few goodies for girls, suitable for party favors or even, heck, presents.

Today while I should be doing other work, I’m scanning Amazon for more options. The following are all on sale for 71% off and are all part of the 4-for-3 promotion—mix and match all you like, but if you buy 3, you get one free. Time to stock up….

Handbook of Pirates is just $1.75 and suitable for your favorite scurvy pirates.

Boo! is a book of monster-themed jokes, suitable for your monster-lover or perhaps to put away for next Halloween. Just $1.16.

Magic Card Tricks is perfect for the child destined to grow up to be a hustler. Or something. $2.62.

How to Make Balloon Dinosaurs comes with the balloons; just supply your own hot air. (I am really on a roll, today.) $2.93.

This Butterfly Activity Book is full of themed puzzles and activities, and cheap enough at $1.46 to make a great party give-out they’ll think you spent a lot more on than you did.

The price is certainly right

So, you probably know that Brylane Home does any number of coupons for various things throughout the year. They almost always have something floating around for free shipping or a percentage off or whatever. Anyway, right now you can use coupon code BHSEW4U to get a free Mini Rex sewing machine with your order! (You can read the reviews over at Amazon.)

Shipping is based on the order total, and the sewing machine isn’t counted towards that, so if you buy something small you’re looking at potentially paying under $10 delivered (shipping starts at $4.99).

This won’t replace a real sewing machine, but for quick fixes or a little machine for your kid to start using, it’s ideal. And the fact that it’s free doesn’t hurt, either.

Beyond Geritol

Puritan's PrideCredit for this deal goes to my mother, who called me this weekend to remind me (amongst other things) to take my vitamins. Because I am always on top of such things, I responded, “I’m supposed to be taking vitamins?”

Through February 17th, 2008, buy 2 and get 3 free, plus get $1 shipping, at Puritan’s Pride. They sell vitamins. And minerals. And supplements. And aromatherapy. Seriously, they’ve got it all. So says my mom, and believe you me, when she talks you should listen.

Go stock up. At these prices, they’re practically paying you.

Lara Croft would totally play wii

Tomb Raider Anniversary for the wii is currently $19.99 at Amazon, with free Super Saver Shipping if you get your order up to $25. That’s apparently a great price, but then again you’re talking to someone who probably won’t own a wii until you can pick one up on eBay for $20.

Because we’re all BFFs

Many of you mailed me to alert me to the fact that JC Penney is having a Friends and Family event today. The email says to pass it along to all of your BFFs, and I’m flattered that so many of you thought of me.

(Meet me by the gym later, and I’ll totally braid your hair for you.)

Anyway, today only (Sunday, January 10th, 2008) you can use coupon code BFF for 20% off online (and I’m sure there are some exclusions, like I doubt it works in the Outlet), or you can go here to print out a savings pass you can use at the store.

Enjoy!

Saturday deals

It’s a gorgeous day outside, and my children are watching cartoons in their pajamas. Yep—must be Saturday!

Need a webcam for your notebook? Get this Logitech QuickCam from Buy.com for a bottom-line price of just $10 after the $30 mail-in rebate. (Compare to the higher price at Amazon, where the reviews are largely favorable.)

Overstock’s weekend coupon is 5% off your entire purchase through that there link. Keep in mind that it doesn’t apply to their media items. 10% off jewelry and watches is still going on, too.

Throughout the month of February, every $50 you spend at Home Decorators Outlet gets you $10 to spend later, which is pretty exciting, except that their stuff is so cheap I’m generally hard-pressed to spend over $50 there, anyway. Maybe you need to furnish a house or something. Heh.

Need other home stuff? Take 10% off your $50+ order at Domestications using coupon code D8B10AFF through the end of February.

Through Valentine’s Day, take 50% off your Restaurant.com purchase with coupon code PICTURE. They’re also still doing the bonus de La Flowers 25% off certificate with every purchase. $25 of dining and 25% off flowers for a mere $5? It’s a cheapster’s delight. They should totally call it that.

Wasn’t someone asking about a good universal remote, the other day? Check out this Logitech Harmony 550 Universal Remote at Amazon—currently 62% off at $49.99, with great reviews. (Not that that would stop me from losing it in the couch, but maybe you’re less of an idiot than I am.)

I’m off to fix scrambled eggs and toast, as I’ve been informed is my station in life. (It’s not a bad station, all things considered, actually….)
