When in doubt, eat jellybeans

Did you know that you can go to the Jelly Belly Outlet and buy a 2-pound bag of “belly flops” (rejected Jelly Bellies) just $8? Yes, I know… that’s a lot of regular jellybeans, but it is a bargain for Jelly Bellies.

But through Wednesday, June 20th, you can use coupon code FREEFLOP to buy 3 bags and get the 4th one free. Say thank you to pretty reader Tafline for letting us know! That’s an even better deal, and the perfect excuse to fill your bathtub with jellybeans.

(Oh, like you have a better idea for 8 pounds of jelly beans.)

Get them reading, get free stuff

Anyone who knows me know that I love reading nearly as much as I love free stuff. So it’s only natural that the combination of the two would make me very, very happy.

Thanks to the very pretty MamaChristy for pointing out that once again, Barnes & Noble is offering a summer reading program for the kids. Follow the directions, have your kid read and journal about 8 books, and they’ll get a coupon for a free one. Very nice.

And the Friday Sale is always followed by. . .

… Overstock weekend coupons! Of course! (And on the 6th day, she shopped the bargains. Amen.)

Take 7% off any size order at Overstock all month long, through that there link.

Or take $20 off your $200+ purchase through the weekend (expires June 18th, 2007) through that there link.

And don’t forget that they’re still running the $20 off $100+ when you purchase Patio Furniture and use Bill Me Later special. I doubt you can combine it with the other promotions, but 20% off is a rarity for Overstock, so that’s a nice little deal if it works for you.

(Also, patio furniture is shipping for free all weekend long. In case you needed a little extra justification.)

Happy weekend bargain-hunting!

Made it through another another week

Things have been nutty ’round here (I’m moving in a little over a week, have I mentioned? No? Perhaps because I’ve been busy running in circles screaming?) but we can always count on Old Faithful—the Amazon Friday Sale—to end the week on a high note.

Mmmmm… organic dried fruit. I’m not sure what I’d do with 25 bags, but maybe you really love it?

Got batteries? (That one ships for free with no minimum, by the way.)

This diaper bag is so adorable it made my ovaries hurt a little. Funny thing is, I don’t have ovaries anymore. Very odd.

Whenever we play the “if I had a million dollars” game, I say I want one of these here professional ice cream machines. Until then—even refurbished—I continue to wonder who is buying them. And if they will adopt me.

Maybe us peasants can soothe ourselves with the Cadillac of hand mixers, instead.

But I am totally going to have nightmares about this thing tonight, and not just because it’s not actually on sale.

Stock up on little summer clothes

Not for you, silly. For the kids!

Bop on over to The Children’s Place and take your pick of a zillion things which have been marked off 33% (or more). Then use coupon code NMSA47 for $10 off your $30+ order, and you’re talking a deal.

Coupon expires June 30th, 2007. Cuteness of Children’s-Place-clad child expires somewhere around the time you come upon muddy footprints all over your kitchen.

I like sheets almost as much as shoes

This past weekend I gave away over half the sheets I own to Goodwill. Packing is brutal, people. And what I realized was that every time I buy new sheets I neglect to ditch the old ones. Also, I’m trying to curb my sheet-buying habit.

But how can I be expected to resist 500 thread count Pinzon sateen sheets? I mean, seriously. $28.50 for queen size, $31.50 for king?

If this is wrong, I don’t wanna be right.

You’re my friends and someone’s your family

I really love the ubiquitous Friends and Family sales. Does it require a secret handshake? A password? Nope, it’s something special for a select group… which you are welcome to join purely by virtue of wanting to shop at their store. If only families were really like that, huh?

Anyway. Need athletic gear? Shop Eastbay through June 15th, 2007, and consider yourself part of the family. No need to throw dinner rolls at Thanksgiving, either—just use coupon code EMEB76RT for 30% off your purchase. It even works in the Outlet. They love you that much.

Pretty pot rack

(Try saying that 10 times fast, I dare you.)

Okay, first you want to go to Home Decorators Outlet and then you want to search on 42163. Then you want to go, “Sweet merciful heavens, that is a really gorgeous wrought-iron pot rack for just $7.99!”

You then want to use coupon code 8577920 for 15% off, because it’s not a lot but why not, right? And then you can grumble a little bit about the $9.99 shipping being more than the item itself, but that’s still a heckuva deal.

Then you want to tell me how happy you are with your new, cheap pot rack.
