One last markdown roundup for today
I’m supposed to be on vacation (ha!), so after this I think I’m going to… turn off the computer for the day. Can you imagine? I know, it’s weird.
But let’s leave it with a few more Amazon toy markdowns, shall we?
The perfect White Elephant gift, though if you gave this to my child you would be dead to me:
Ninja Darts for $3.99 (71% off)
Fisher-Price Trio DC Super Friends sets:
Mr. Freeze and Ice Sled for $5.20 (48% off)
Joker Bot for $7.93 (63% off)
Batman Sub for $9.50 (57% off)
I confess I don’t understand this at all, but my kid would love it:
Power Ranger Samurai ClawZord for $11.99 (64% off)
Games are always good, right?:
ThinkFun Hyper Swipe for $6.39 (74% off)
Enjoy!
It’s time to load your Kindle
Guess what I got for Christmas, finally. A Kindle of my very own! Yes! (We did our family Christmas a little early, before heading out to see extended family and celebrate elsewhere.) I am so excited about this Kindle, you have no idea.
And of course I want to find the best book deals, so you can imagine my glee at discovering the Kindle Big Deal, an assortment of deeply discounted Kindle books available at special prices only until December 23rd.
If you’re gifting a Kindle, this would be a great way to put a few titles on it as an additional surprise before you even hand over the package. And if you own your own Kindle (or have the app on your computer or other device), well, merry merry to you!
This is the last one. Probably.
If you didn’t get your 6pm.com fix yesterday, they’ve got another coupon for today, albeit only for 10% off. Just use 6PMBOOTS121911YAY for the extra savings all day long, plus right now of you spend $50+, they’ll guarantee shipping in time for Christmas, free. (On a side note: Did the code make you giggle? Because it totally made me giggle.)
My guess is that this the last coupon code they’ll offer this year, but I’ve been wrong before.
Kohls on a Monday? Why not!
It looks like Kohls has added a ton of new inventory to their clearance section, and coupon codes GIFTS4ALL (30% off) and GIFTS4KC (free shipping) are still working for Kohls charge card holders.
I’m seeing a ton of dresses in the Junior’s section for around $3 each! Craziness.
You probably can’t count on getting this stuff before Christmas, but if you’re shopping for next spring/summer anyway, who cares? Not me!
We interrupt our holiday shopping…
… for a moment of shameless somewhat-self promotion.
Today is the official release of the Thinking Person’s Guide to Autism book, meant to be “the resource we wish we’d had when autism first became part of our lives: a one-stop source for carefully curated, evidence-based information from autism parents, autistics, and autism professionals.”
I am a contributor to this collection, but I can tell you that even if I wasn’t, I would have mad love for the awesome men and women who collaborated and shared to make this book possible. If you’re an autism parent, if someone you love has autism, and most particularly if someone you love just found out their child has autism, please pick up a copy or two of this book to read and share. It’s really a wonderful look at the trials and triumphs of autism from all possible angles.
[Full disclosure: As always, if you buy the book through my affiliate link, I make a commission. However, I was not compensated for my contribution to this book; all proceeds from sales are actually being donated to the Autism Science Foundation, which is just another level of awesomeness on the part of the editors.]
A quick dose of toy markdowns
The Amazon Lightning Deals remain my constant distraction throughout the day—more deals! more deals!—but I’m trying to wean myself down before Christmas. Heh.
In the meantime, the next few days are going to be your last few chances to pick up the remainder of any gifts you need before Christmas, and of course if you have Prime, Amazon’s a great way to go because you can get that fast, free shipping. Here’s a few toy markdowns I spotted this morning:
Transformers Rescue Bots:
Blades the Copter Bot for $4.99 (62% off)
Boulder the Construction Bot for $4.99 (62% off)
Chase the Police Bot for $4.99 (62% off)
Trapdoor Checkers for $7.99 (73% off)
Fisher-Price Fun-2-Learn Computer Cool School for $18.14 (64% off)
(I’m trying to decide if that checkers set would be fun or crazymaking at our house. It has great reviews, though.)
You can never go wrong with Threadless
When I’m stumped for a gift, I’ll admit it: I head to Threadless. Because who doesn’t love wacky and witty t-shirts? No one I hang out with, that’s for sure.
Today’s your last day to place an order with Threadless and get it—guaranteed—in time for Christmas. To make it even better, they’ve got a slew of $10 Ts available, plus today only you can use coupon code FUZZYALL for 10% off your order, too.
Just remember to size up, if you’ve never ordered from them before. I find their sizes run a little small. (Though my teenager is perfectly happy to take my Threadless castoffs when I buy something that’s ultimately too small for me.)
I think my husband is salivating
Have you taken a look at today’s Amazon Gold Box Deal? It’s the Canon PowerShot S95 for just $229. My husband (who, I’ll remind you, is a professional photographer) says this is one of his top picks for a high-quality point-and-shoot, and even though he already has about a gajillion cameras, I swear he lit up like a Christmas tree when he saw this deal.
Of course, then he covered it up, all “You should tell your readers what a fantastic camera that is!” Yes, it was all just concern for you, you see. So I’m telling you.
6pm just made my Sunday
This is, so far as I know, unprecedented—today 6pm.com is offering 20% off with coupon code 6pmgift121811Ncc. And there’s still time to get your order before Christmas!
6pm’s price are already so low, another 20% off is just crazy. I mean, yes, I bought two new pairs of shoes there just a couple of weeks ago (to be fair, it was one pair of shoes and one pair of boots), but with a discount like this, I’d have to be crazy not to shop.
GeoTrax Cars on the move
Where are they going? Down in price, of course. Lots of price cuts at Amazon today on the Cars 2 themed GeoTrax items.
Extra cars:
Petrov Oilski and Talking Finn McMissile for $3.99 (67% off)
Acer and Talking Holley Shiftwell for $4.99 (58% off)
Extra tracks:
Dirt Race Track Pack for $7.99 (60% off)
Road Race Track Pack for $9.99 (50% off)
Cross Over Track Pack for $9.99 (50% off)
Add-on sets:
Eiffel Tire Crash for $9.99 (67% off)
Escape From Big Bentley for $12.99 (57% off)
The best part about this post is that it’s about cars and I’m in the car right now. (No, I’m not driving. I’m providing moral support for the husband while he drives, which in our family mostly takes the form of eating potato chips. My husband is a lucky, lucky man!)
