Don’t forget your Kohls Cash!
Readers, I have a confession to make: The last time there was Kohls Cash to be earned, I made my purchases and got my bonus dollars. And then I forgot to spend them. When I realized I had essentially thrown away free money I was despondent (maybe more than is strictly logical, even). I worship at the altar of Kohls! How could I be so dumb??
Be ye not so careless, my pretties. We’re currently in a Kohls Cash redemption period, so if you took advantage of some recent Kohls savings, get that Cash out and get it spent before it expires on March 26th. Yes, you have time, but I figured I’d remind you now.
Especially because 30% off coupon code LOVE2SHOP is only good through tomorrow. If you have a Kohls charge card, combine that with coupon code FREE4MVC for free shipping, then add in your Kohls cash, and hey, there’s a deal that’s hard to beat.

Eat like an Italian
(Wait. Ignore the title. I think this stuff is actually Spanish. Um. Eat like someone who likes olive oil, okay? Okay!)
I know I post this one every time it comes around, but I just love it that much: Right now Amazon has their 2-pack of Zoe Organic Olive Oil available for just $17.06; combine that with coupon code ZOEOLIV5 and Subscribe & Save, and you get 20% off and free shipping—$13.65 delivered for 51 ounces of really good organic oil.
So yes, I’ve posted this before. But you used up what you bought last time already, right?
Wear your sunglasses at night, or whenever
Got a guy who’s always losing his sunglasses? Today’s deals at Graveyard Mall include a variety of multi-pack sunglasses for the men (there’s also a cheap pack for little girls). When you can get 6 or 9 pairs for the price of one, you can have spares!
You know, so that you can wear them at night while playing air guitar. Or just to leave a pair in the car, a pair in the house, a pair in the other car… whatever. I don’t judge.
Let the dishwasher do the dishes
Try as I might, I just cannot wean myself off Cascade dishwashing detergent. It’s one of those things where brand matters to me, and even though my bleeding, tree-hugging heart tries a “natural” brand every few months, I always come crawling back to Cascade. What can I say? I prefer not to have to wash the dishes after they’ve been through the dishwasher. Ahem.
Right now Amazon has this 85-count container of Cascade Action Gel Packs for just $16.37, which is a pretty good price, already. But! Click on the “Clip this coupon” button to save another quarter, plus then you can buy via Subscribe & Save to save another 15% and get free shipping. The result: $13.66 shipped, or just about $.16/load. Not bad.
Get your strum on
Been thinking about taking up acoustic guitar? Right now Amazon has a Starcaster by Fender Acoustic Guitar Starter Pack available for just $39 shipped. This is the guitar, picks, strings, and a strap—a nice deal on a decent guitar with great reviews.
I am seriously tempted to buy this for myself. You know, because I have so much spare time. Ha.
Pearly whites so bright
The supposed latest/greatest in the home-teeth-whitening arena are the Crest 2-Hour Whitestrips, which are currently available at Amazon for $32ish. But if you scroll down a bit on that page you should see an available $10 coupon, making a year’s supply of white strips just $22ish shipped. That’s under $6/treatment!
(Please note: Home whitening systems like these are great if you don’t have sensitive teeth. If you have sensitive teeth, stuff like this will increase the sensitivity. So be careful. But enjoy if you don’t need to be careful.)
Call Japan for free
Of course I wish this was happening for a less terrible reason, but both AT&T and Verizon are offering free calls/texts to Japan right now; AT&T, through the end of March, and Verizon through April 10th. [Edited to add: T-Mobile has joined the trend, as well. Hooray!]
Don’t forget that you can easily donate $10 to the Red Cross via texting REDCROSS to 90999, too (it’ll be added to your phone bill).
The Want Not Review (and giveaway): Cuisinart ICE-30BC ice cream maker
Today I am thrilled to bring you a review of the Cuisinart ICE-30BC 2-Qt Automatic Frozen Yogurt, Sorbet, and Ice Cream Maker courtesy of Abe’s of Maine and Savings.com. As a Savings.com DealPro I was offered the opportunity to both receive an ice cream maker for my own use and to offer one to all of you as a giveaway. Per FTC Guidelines, I always disclose when I’m reviewing product I received for free, but per Mir guidelines, I will never share anything other than my honest opinion and experiences with said product. Pinky swear. And if you read to the end, there’s a chance for you to win one!
Some people look a gift horse in the mouth. Me, I try to give the gift horse back. When I was offered the chance to get my hands on two of these ice cream makers, I said, “Oh, but I already have an ice cream maker. I just want one to give away.” See, I already own the Cuisinart ICE-20, an earlier and less fancy version of this machine. But The Powers That Be insisted that they wanted my opinion on this machine, so I agreed to test it out anyway, even though I thought it was sort of dumb because I already love the machine I have.
Well. Let’s just say I’m glad they insisted. read more…
If you missed the last hand soap deal
It’s that time again: Right now liquid or foaming anti-bacterial hand soap is just 5 for $15 or 7 for $20 at Bath & Body Works. I am a fool for this sale because 1) we are all delicate flowers with sensitive skin, and this soap doesn’t irritate even though it smells good (our other option is scent-free, everything-free, which is both more expensive and boring), and 2) the foaming soaps seem to last forever, as even over-zealous kids are getting significantly less soap per pump than with a regular dispenser.
Coupon code SPRING20 takes an additional 20% off your entire order, which helps to counteract the shipping. Or I suppose you could go check out the sale in-store, but that requires getting dressed. [Edited to add: Pretty reader Julie says you can also stack code NEW20 for another 20% off and free shipping over $50! That one ends today, I think. Thanks, Julie!]
Fruitalicious
I’m pretty sure I’ve posted a deal on this 4-pound box of Traverse Bay Dried Cranberries before; I’ve ordered it a few times and have always been very pleasantly surprised at how much fresher the fruit tastes than Craisins. The berries are big and less… I don’t even know how to describe it… less waxy, I guess. Anyway, it’s currently just $17.37 shipped on Subscribe & Save, which is about $4.34/pound—a reasonable deal for quality dried fruit, but not a blow-you-away kind of deal.
On the other hand, Amazon is also currently offering this 4-pound box of Traverse Bay Dried Cherries for just $18.90 after Subscribe & Save, and that is an incredible deal because cherries are generally much more expensive than cranberries. I’m not sure I’d okay these as an eat-out-of-the-bag snack for the kids at this price, but this could keep us in baked goods and embellished oatmeal and such for quite a while. Yum.
