What matters most to you?
Excruciatingly pretty reader Katie emailed me this one a few days ago, but I am only now catching up on email:
Bantam Dell Publishing wants to know what matters most to you, and there are a couple of incentives for you to share. First, the first 1,000 participants will receive a free copy of one of Luanne Rice’s novels. Second, for every entry, they will donate a dollar to Habitat for Humanity (up to $25,000 total).
It’s a great cause and you might get a free book out of it. Go!
Buy more, save more
Despite the current temperatures and the fact that my driveway is a solid slab of ice, it’s time for the Eddie Bauer Spring Sale. If you’re a fan of EB, it’s a good time to stock up. Jeans are buy one, get one half off, and lots of other stuff is reduced on purchases of 2 or more.
(Edited to add: How silly of me to post this without a coupon code. How about EBSPRING for 20% off until April 2nd, 2007? That’s better.)
Of course, you probably spent all of your money on shoes already. Sorry about that.
Delicious guilt-free coffee
It’s a new month, and it brings us some new Amazon grocery deals. Hooray!
Need coffee? How about some yummy Timothy’s World Coffees from Canada? Timothy’s is world-renowned and socially aware, and right now you can take $10 off your $39+ Timothy’s order with coupon code TIMOTHY2. (That works out to a little over $4/pound for most of the choices available.)
This is an especially good deal if you’re wanting to buy Fair Trade coffee, which is something I’m committed to in theory but often have difficulty shelling out the money for in actuality.
My name is Mir, and I’m a shoeaholic
Oh, things have gotten worse since this post. I told you that Endless was discontinuing their $5 discount on every pair of shoes thing at the end of February, but then they extended it.
And then I also figured out that Zappos doesn’t just price-match, they give you 110% of the difference. Now, I’ve price-matched with them before, but it’s usually a difference of $10 or $20, and I didn’t even notice that extra bit of money.
But if you’re price-matching a $100 pair of shoes that’s offered elsewhere at $20, suddenly you’re getting $100 shoes for $12.
I’m not sure I can be held accountable for my actions, at this point.
More free prints
Do you have a local CVS? They want to give you some free prints! So if you haven’t gotten all the photos you needed in the last few months of deals, go sign up and enjoy.
(If you’re already an Extracare member, signing in there will also get you the free prints. Something for everyone!)
I’m back with a testimonial
Hello! Our trip was a bit of a whirlwind, but I just wanted to remind everyone that this deal to get free shipping on Nozin is still valid. And I’ve now spent about six hours on a plane and didn’t come down with a cold. Maybe it wasn’t the Nozin, but maybe it was.
At the very least, I enjoyed the curious and puzzled sideways glances from other airport patrons as I carefully swabbed first my children’s nostrils and then my own. It’s an anti-viral and a neat party trick!
The return of the Overstock weekend coupon

Hooray! This weekend Overstock is having a coupon that doesn’t suck! Now through Monday, March 5th, you can take $15 off of your $149+ purchase at Overstock and do a happy little dance.
Well, the dance is optional. But I recommend it.
Hopefully I am not sleeping with the fishes
Usually on a Friday I can give you three guesses about what I’m doing, and even if the first two don’t count, you can be pretty sure that I’m scoping out the Amazon Friday Sale. I live for the Friday sale, it’s true.
But today I shall have to leave the sale sleuthing to you, because I am spending the day here as part of our whirlwind trip. My children are very much looking forward to seeing some sharks, and I am mostly just looking forward to being warm and dry (as most of yesterday was spent running around in a torrential downpour).
It’s going to kill me if I end up missing a really good deal, because of this, but I suppose doing something fun with my future husband and my kids trumps even the Friday Sale.
Free shipping is back at American Girl
It’s about time to start thinking about Easter baskets, I suppose, and a coupon for free shipping at American Girl might help the big bunny out a little bit. You can tell him that coupon code A372387 will give you free shipping on any order. The code is good through March 30th, 2007.
Also tell him that I like those cream eggs, won’t you?
Mmmmm. . . snacks!
(Sorry for the lack of posts today… I’m out of town and sort of trying to do things other than sit at the computer and find good deals. Craziness!)
Amazon is running a great deal through the month of March: Spend $39+ on selected Terra Chip, Garden of Eatin’ and Little Bear snacks and save $15 instantly with coupon code SNACK233. Most of them are already on sale, so the net result is about a 50% off what you’ll pay at the grocery store.
If you haven’t had Terra Chips, you’re missing out. They are so good, and normally so expensive that I hardly ever buy them. But at these prices… well, I guess we can eat up a case or two before we move!
